The GPS thing in order to pick up is ridiculous. I made al of the arrangements for my husband to pick up and drop off and because my phone wasn't physically with him, he couldn't pick up. It delayed our day and caused added stressSean M.
Cobb Auto was great--very helpful. We did have a problem en route--a flat tire (which turned out was unrepairable and had to be repalaced. Stopped at the U-Haul in Pittsfield, MA and were very rudely told to call the U-Haul roadside emergency. Called that number and spent about 45 minutes on hold and going through your automated system ("for x, press 1; for y press 2, etc., etc), which no one with half a brain could call "customer service". Finally got through to a live person (again after 45 minutes), only to be told that it sounded like we were "safe" and in no danger" and then hung up on. I can't begin to tell you how to improve your customer service if you really believe that any aspect of my experience was in any way "customer service".larry B.

Rented uhaul sunday 1/17. Ended up stuck in unplowed lot. Ended up calling roadside assistance. I did get it out but wasted two hours in lot. Overall its ok but i wasn't happy i got stuck for two hours. Cant complain about roadside assistance thoughJames W.

They had their offices closed to Uhaul rentals. So i didn't go inside. Also got charged for furniture pads and they weren't in the vehicle i rented. Probably should of gone to Burlington.Damon B.

I know the current environment is challenging but setting up my appointment was difficult and not great. I was trying to pick up and drop off in Burlington but was last minute routed to St. Albans. Although not convenient, Cobb Auto was terrific. The owner did everything he could to make my transaction positive. He succeeded.Edward S.
The gentleman never went out to inspect the truck. He rented it to me with the wrong mileage and gas tank reading. Luckily I took a picture of the odometer before I left. So I didn't get charged the extra 60 bucks. Overall the truck was in good shape .The customer service wasn't amazing.frank G.

all the u hauls are parked off in the grass. Plus that soil was a bit saturated and tires were sinking into the ground so i didn't park off the gravel. Also i don't think i check in the vehicle correctly online through the app.Damon B.

I would recommend this location because their hours are better than the other place in town. The truck compartment was not cleaned out and had cigarette butts, bottle caps, and candy wrappers scattered about. It reeked like an ashtray. When I went to clean it I also discovered dried traces of liquid that had been spilled all about. I had to mop the floor in order to use the truck. Disgusting. It also took 20 minutes for me to get any service using the mobile app to sign the truck out. Not impressive.ANDREW E.

It was a lot more expensive as I thought it would be. Thank God I delivered it back 2 days earlier than anticipated!! I'm not a fan of Cobbs so I wish I could have picked the van up a few miles down the road where UHauls are available. The van drove real smoothly though. I did have a good experience driving the van to and from Florida. And in only 72 hours.Suzanne B.

Over charged by almost $50 - what is the problem with UHaul ? Never had this issue in the past, checked it in online- filled tank and was still charged for gas, extra days charges, something is definitely wrong with uHaul. Will go to enterprise next time I need a rental.Karen P.

The owner left and changed my reservation to 24/7 without notice then I had to spend 40 minutes on the phone in a hot parking lot to get a passcode. My equipment that I paid for was not inside the truck, and he knew I was coming.Heather W.

I called the drop off location on Monday, after receiving an additional invoice for $90.77 (over 70% of initizl amount quoted and charged two days earlier). The person was very rude and refused to discuss the gas charge for the fuel supposedly being 1/16 of a tank under what it was supposed to be. After further discussion it was agreed that she would check on the additional days charge and get back to me the next day. Two days later after not hearing. I attempted to call UHaul customer service. I waited on the phone for45 minutes and finally was able to talk to someone. After taking down my information, I was put on hold for anohher 30 minutes!!!! I finally hung up in frustration. THIS WAS THE WORST RENTAL OR CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD.Philip C.
Initially I contacted Cobb Auto and was directed to go to the U-Haul website to reserve a trailer and when I then started the process by picking Cobb Auto, the trailer size, and date wanted. I was informed that my reservation was made but it never wanted my name or any of my information. So I contacted Cobb Auto once again so I knew for sure my name was on the reservation..dan F.

There is a disparity in the date of return of this truck. I returned the truck to Cobb Auto in St Albans on June 13, 2020 at approximately 2:15 PM. The station was closed at that time, so I left the keys in the box provided. The charge for the extra 5 days is wrong. The people at Cobb Auto did not do their job by checking the truck in until they were notified by U-Haul five days later, I received a call from U-Haul on 6/19/2020 when you asked me where the truck was. Please deduct your extra charge for 5 days.Roland T.

The returning process was complicated and also was uoset to see you charged me one price one day than the next took more pretty much cost 150 bucks to get a washer from Burlington u say 19.95 for the truck but not fair dont tell us all the fees till after. Sorry but was not happy at all!ricky P.

When I picked up the truck the person from Uhaul never left his seat. Did not go look at the truck, the odometer, or check the fuel gauge. I also never signed anything or received any paperwork upon leaving the dealer. I reset the trip meter and the trip computer when I left the Uhaul yard. The fuel gauge was just over half a tank. I drove the truck 91 miles and the trip computer registered an average of 10.1 miles per gallon. Based on this I should have put just over 9 gallons of gas in it upon my return. I put in 11 gallons of gas at a station less then a mile from the Uhaul dealer. When I received my emailed receipt they had charged me an additional $49.73 dollars for 11.7 gallons of fuel. Notwithstanding the fact that they charged $4.25 per gallon when the local gas station charges $2.69 per gallon they are stealing my money. I put in 11 gallons of gas and they charged me for an additional 11.7 gallons of gas which averages 4 miles per gallon for a trip of 91 miles. I rented a 15 foot truck that we didn't even load half way, and half of these miles were while the truck was empty. I would have had to put my foot to the floor with the brake on full to only get 4 miles per gallon. Cobb Auto in St. Albans Vermont will steal your money. Go elsewhere! I will be contacting my credit card company to stop payment and dispute the charges.Paul T.

I was over charged. I returned the vehicle with a quarter tank of gas as it was given to me. I received my final statement and was charged 30 dollars for filling service, and 34 dollars for 8 gallons of gas. I only drove 28 miles total. I cannot believe that the trick only get 4 mpgjames S.

I was told the price would be 29.95 and I ended up being charged over $60. When I called they couldn't help because their computer system had been down that day and everything was done on paper so I had no proof of the price I was told. Very poor customer service.Sarah D.
