Employee didn’t help hook up the trailer. She just pointed out the one I was to get and told me “it’s not heavy.” Fortunately I know how to hook it up to my hitch. A first-time renter would have been in trouble.

Marlin Kilgorethe u-haul website told me I could pick up the truck and hour before my scheduled time, and even recommended I do that very thing. I was using the app so I wouldn't have to worry about interacting with staff in order to pick the truck up. none of that ended up being true. In fact, the employee wasn't even there until after my scheduled pick up time because they had to open the storage site first. So after arriving at the location an hour early as recommended by U-haul, I had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes in order to get the truck, because although the website said the pick-up was done by me through the app I still had to go inside and check in via the front desk. The truck hadn't even been received, so I had to wait even longer for the employee to go receive and inspect it from whoever dropped it off. Then when I finally had the keys and was ready to leave the employee said they had never had someone pick up a truck via the U-haul mobile app, so they were of zero help in assuring me that the process was actually working correctly. Terrible experience at every possible step

Stephen WadeTwo issues: 1) She wouldn’t check in my equipment right then. Said to leave and she would check it in and I’d get an emailed receipt. 2) she read the fuel level incorrectly and charged me an additional $72. I had taken before and after pictures of fuel levels so had proof I returned equipment with more fuel than I left with. I called her when I got the receipt for the charge and she refused to do anything about it. Said to call 800-gouhaul. I did call them and the confirmed she read the fuel level incorrectly and refunded the charge.

Then we get an email saying we had a bill for 19 gallons of gas when we returned the truck at same amount of gas we started with. We went back to where we dropped off the truck and she said I can't help you call 1 800uHaul. Very cold and unfriendly. She must have had a bad day. The 1 800 number very friendly and helpful.

Shawn FyeThe attendant did not follow me to the trailer so I had to drive back to the office and ask for help. There was no jack for the 6x12 trailer so we had to lift it manually. She put the chains on too short. I don't lime that U-Haul has an electronic photocopy of my driver's license.
Rex ArmstrongI was told to find the trailer and hook it up myself. The attendant would then take a picture of it. I got the tandem 6x12 trailer on the ball mount and secured but had to immediately move as I was blocking the entrance to the storage area. I pulled up front and the attendant watched as I fastened the chains then took pictures. I don't mind doing what needs to be done but have come to expect more from previous U-Haul rental experiences. I would have been satisfied with a simple communication as to why I wasn't be assisted.

COURI TAYLORThe 6x12 trailer was clean and ready to go as scheduled. The young lady at the facility was exceptionally nice. There were two issues with the trailer: 1. Radial tires and bias ply tires had been mixed on this trailer. There were at least two of each and they shared the same axle; however, when grooved pavement was encountered, the trailer required my effort than other trailers I have towed to keep it safely tracking. 2. We encountered a bit of rain which resulted in water in the trailer. Could not tell from where it came; however, packing blankets and boxes got wet. UHaul staff was informed and I feel certain the issues will be addressed. Thank you for an otherwise excellent experience.

Momodu KoromaI had to hook up my own trailer. Had an electrical pigtail that was broken, but they don’t have parts. Had to drive to another uhaul location to get a new pig tail and put it on myself. SERVICE??? The trailer was the same trailer that I pulled from Florida 10 days earlier and was charged nearly $100 MORE to haul it back to the same location that I picked it up from. BEWARE!!!! Uhaul will more than take advantage of you.
