TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! And we have rented A LOT from U-Haul. Never got a call for location pick up confirmation. Just an email 2 days prior. Rented/reserved a 26’ truck, car hauler and 5 dozen moving pads for a one-way trip to Florida MONTHS ago. Guy entered our info 3x and still couldn’t check us out. Called a ‘supervisor ‘ who then had to enter over phone. While he figured out the computer, we decided to sort the pads Looked like he didn’t have enough moving pads (ordered 5 dozen). Asked if pads were in the truck already (they have ALWAYS been in truck and ready all other locations). He said no, and pointed to a sad, falling over, partially folded stack of pads on top and around a stack of wheels. We started counting and properly folding the pads as we went, he said if it was all he had we couldn’t take them!?! Ummm we’re taking what we can we had this reserved and we have a 3000sqft home to move!!! (Luckily he had 60 pads). We had to load them into the truck ourselves. (Absolutely no help from him- he just went in to his store after he hooked us up) When I went to pay, I was told I couldn’t use my debit card (like last location) because he didn’t have their machine. He would have to charge me $100 per $1000 extra (my bill for renting was already $3980!) for using ‘his business machine’ because U-Haul charged him. He continued to complain how he made no money renting the trucks for U-Haul etc. Had to make a transfer to my cc in order to pay. Took 1.5 hrs to check out of the place! Our circumstances changed and we didn’t need the truck to go one way to Florida. We returned it (same location as pick up) and I asked for receipt. He said he would send it via email when entered into computer but never did it! My husband had to call to complain and try to get (some of) our money back. Ended up all messed up! Was charged $200 for rental of pads when was supposed to be $50. Was charged on another card when was supposed to be credited. Ended up calling corporate office in Quebec to try to straighten everything out. Was all blamed on a computer glitch. I don’t care what it was- JUST FIX IT PLEASE!!!! A TOTAL AND COMPLETE NIGHTMARE on top of the stress of a move. If you don’t make enough with U-Haul but claim to be renting constantly (busy location) maybe don’t rent if your that upset with how little you make? Just my 2-cents worth.

The retailer waa more than compliant to meet my requirements, since his establishment opened later than the specified rental period. Note to u-haul sales idept. Important to have establisment selected meet the requirements or else do not propose time periods if not available.

l'huile n'avait pas été vérifier, à l'arriver 4 pintes en moins, aussi sur le tow haul tout le long du voyage. camion nettoyer et M.Chuck très gentil
