Make sure uhaul is using professional businesses. They didnt even have time to check in the equipment even though there were zero customers. Must have been to busy watching football?? Just both places we talked to had zero professionalism.

I arrived at “The Chicago Store” which serves as a U-Haul dealer. I was scheduled to rent a Tow Dolly. They first led me out to a vehicle transport carrier. I told them I did not think that was what I had requested. We went back inside and the operator of the store, a young, tall, “gangsta” type person said it was on the other side of the store. I went to verify, and yes, they had 2-tow dolly’s available. I backed my truck up to the first tow dolly, and the rep hooked it up to my truck. Once hooked up, I noticed one of the security chains for the towed vehicle had no hook on the end and the chain was road-worn (damaged). It had clearly had been worn down by a previous user. I told them I wanted a good security chain. The young man from the inside came out, and told me that I did not need the security chain because it is the straps that hold the vehicle. The other tow dolly had bad straps. It was a take-it-or-leave it decision. I took it. However, I did take pictures of it for my turn-in which was a good idea.

If you send a customer to another location, do your job and let them know so they aren't completely clueless when we arrive for pickup. Make sure your tow dolly is in decent shape and not damaged so bad you have to ghetto rig it for it to work.

I have already paid my bill and my card was ran for the amount owed on the 13th of October. Now I am being charged again on the 23rd. Please void this transaction due that it already was paid in full on the 13th of October. Thanks, Jeffrey Fredrickson

Truck full of dog hair, dog food, trash and smelled like someone smoked a carton of cigarettes. The location changed and nobody communicated that. The location employees were nice, but location was not and we didn’t feel safe in the area.

The location isn't terrible but it isn't great either. Store and parking lot could definitely use some cleaning up. Would not feel overly inviting to some people. Staff were friendly though.

Write a paper contract or email it to me at the right email address. He was new and needs more training but I had a great experience in resolving the challenging issues. I'm OK with the mistakes and will continue to use this location.

The worst place for uhaul

The first location I was supposed to drop off was close. I did not want to drop a trailer without someone giving me a return invoice. The area of drop off was not the greatest part of town. I did not want someone to steal it. The second location I called said drop it at another location. I drove up, some person came out, didn't know who he was, he didn't identify himself. Again not a very nice part of town. He looked at the trailer, typed something on his phone, ask for my email, didn't tell me he was emailing the return invoice. I had to ask him for a return invoice, said he was emailing, unhooked the trailer and we drove off. Needs customer service training.

Sketchy unkempt liquor store. Sketchy people loitering outside. Upon reciept of the truck the inside was dirty with plastic cups and food wrappers

Amir was pleasant and easy to work with. The 15 ft truck we had reserved was still out at our promised time of pick up so he upgraded us free of any additional charges. The truck was in excellent condition and very reliable. Return was easy and they kept their word on the charges promised, no hidden extra fees. Overall a smooth transaction and experience.

Outstanding customer service and at the time I was there store had a customer come in that went to another U-Haul place that was closed, and this place was able to help and t=get them on the road also. i recommend them to anyone.

The store hours stated that it opens at 0900 on Sunday. I went there around 0930 and there was no one there to return the equipment. Fortunately I was able to just do the online return, but what if I did not have a phone to do so. Very poor customer relations in my opinion. I will not use this location to rent or return in the future.

The chains were put on wrong and the Trailer bottomed out on the road at least every minute of a 700 mi journey. I had to interrupt my move by a 2 hour layover in Tallahassee to get chains and ball corrected. The pickup was to be done at 9 am. They finally opened almost at 10am. The owner emir never got the Trailer on my vehicle until almost 11am. Totally messed up our 7 hour drive each way. I expect a 100% refund.

The truck was not full of gas, gas gauge wasn't working. No dolly or pads for opening, just in case, as in all other trucks I've rented from U-Haul. Truck sounded like it was falling apart. No paperwork available. Location is atrocious.

The guy told me he would finish checking the truck in and I would be emailed the final receipt (since I had already paid for everything) with no mention of additional charges.
