JIMMY HodgesThe owner was rude and quiet frankly seemed to be trying to run a scam with one of the local repair shops. When I brought my truck, which is used to regularly pull trailers without issues, he claimed he couldn't get the tail lights to work and it was my trucks fault due a "blowing fuse". Without so much as trying anything he said I had to immediately go get it fixed at his buddy's shop. So I get out of my truck and unplug the trailer, but before leaving I decided to try setting up myself. And lo and behold it worked like a charm. He then tried to make me pay twice after he said my card payment didn't go through. He changed tunes real quick once I showed him it had on my end. Additional he was repeatedly rude to other customers when he answered phone calls in front of me. Their was one girl who called and asked if he had any 5x8s available or anything that could move a truck. He said no 5x8s are available so she asked if there was anything else since he didn't answer the full question. He then quick rudely snapped and said he had nothing. 0/10 will never rent from this location ever again. Would rather carry everything I own on my back

JAMIE BARNETTThe owner called me the day prior to pick-up to let me know he gave away his last 5x8 trailer but he can have one there by morning if I was coming. it's like he wanted to make sure I was coming, which is understandable. Then he asked where I will be dropping off, which was in the contract. When I said Alabama, he asked why don't I pick up from Columbus. I told him the items I'm picking up were in West Point. Then he asked what was my current location....at this point I'm like why you need to know all that. The information he needed to know was in the contract. If seemed as if he didn't want to be bothered. After arriving, I told my cousin about it and he said owner treated him the same way. Gave away his rental.
Marlon SpragginsI'm not sure if this is standard procedure for U-Haul, but excpecting customers to be able to travel to a different pickup location vs. making sure the equipment is at the agreed upon site is a poor business practice. Marion Johnson went out of his way to make sure our rental experience with U-Haul was a good one. This, in spite of our rental being shifted from the Tupelo location to his. He called to make sure we knew about the change and found us a dolly at a different site that we had reserved. Marion followed up to make sure we got what we needed, my compliments to him.

Kason KimbrellI was scheduled to pick up the truck at a different location but was informed 2 days before my scheduled pickup that I would have to pick it up from a different location about 30 minutes away from me and 30 minutes later than I had scheduled to pick it up. Then I was charged for the additional miles that were used to travel and pick the truck up. UHaul as a company should do a better job of servicing the customer instead of making them travel out of there way to pick up a truck and then charging them per mile for the additional miles the pickup required. The gentleman that helped me at the first location was very helpful and added extra miles for the inconvenience of picking up the truck but I was still charged even after making a note of the miles to the drop off location.
