I will never use uhaul again- not only did the cruise control stop working making it a horrible experience but then I was charged an extra 60 bucks for whatever reason- worst experience of my life moving my family of 5 close to 400 hundred miles at such a high cost and crappy equipment

Took nearly 3 hours to finally get truck that was reserved. Location was closed when U-Haul site had its hours listed to be open, which was a big reason why location was picked. Had to call U-Haul for reservation to be changed to 24/7 pickup. Location has very poor phone coverage, so location finder and uploading pictures for the 24/7 pickup often timed out. Had to drive back and forth to local library to get better service. Once had code to unlock the box to get the truck key, it was not for the truck listed on the reservation. Yet another call to U-Haul to fix the paperwork. I had reserved utility dollies and furniture pads, but they weren't in the truck. Neither were they in any of the trucks on site. Had to go to another location to get only half of what was reserved. Lastly, the truck for which had the key had a broken passenger side mirror. While partially useable, it was annoying for the 300+ mile drive.

David SThe truck stuck like feces, I want to rent a utility dolly, they didn't have one, I wanted 5 dozen pads, they didn't have any. I had to drive 45 minutes to another U-Haul facility to get pads and drive 45 minutes back. I had to hook up my own trailer to the truck. I reserved this equipment a week in advance. So I don't understand why all the equipment wasn't at the location that U-Haul assigned for me. It took over 2 hrs for me to pick up the equipment. To me this isn't the way I would want my company represented or ran. I will have to think a long time about using U-Haul again.

I do want to reiterate how terrible the app is though. It's like picking dog mess out of the yard with no gloves and then no where to put it, so you're just stuck there for an hour with this s**t (app) in your hands.

Daniel QAfter reviewing the Uhaul in Scottsburg we were told to leave the tank on a quarter tank of gas. We returned the truck this way like we were told. Uhaul charged us an extra $20 dollars because the gas was not at the correct level. This is very frustrating. We made sure to ask how to leave the truck and did as instructed and were charged. I am also not pleased with the fact that as we requested a pick up location in new Albany we had to drive 45 minutes out of the way and pick up in Scottsburg, again costing us in gas money.
Trent RMandi was extremely helpful and made our experience, which had been a trying move, more bearable. She went above and beyond!! We would rate her with 11 Stars and definitely recommend her to anyone who needed a uhaul.

DEREK Rwe called the lady and let her know we were on the way and what time we'd be there. she said Ok. However when we got there(@ 8pm after driving 16hrs to pick it up. We had to Wait an hour for her to hunt up the appliance dolly she apparently let her freind in a trailer behind her use it & the truck was dirty and stunk. This was our worst experience ever!!

Edward OWe made reservation through U-Haul. No one explained all the hidden fees we'd be charged. We thought we would pay $39.95 plus 80 cents a mile. Most we'd pay, maybe $50. It was $73!!! Ridiculous for intown moving.

Kevin BHorrible experience. We were notified the night before we planned to use the Uhaul that our selected location was out of trucks.. but we didn't book a truck, we booked a trailer. So we called Uhaul corporate customer service to see if the unavailable truck applied to our trailer as well. It did. The customer service representative gave us a new location to pick up the trailer, it was in a different state and a 40 minute drive from our original pickup location. We asked if there was anything available between our original pick up location and where were we're headed (Uhaul pickup was in Owensboro, KY but we were planning to drive to bardstown, KY to actually load the Uhaul). Without even checking the representative told us there was nothing else. We would have called other locations, but by the time we were notified of our unavailable trailer (after 6 or 6:30) , Uhaul stores had all closed. The representative then told us our trailer SHOULD be available at 10 the next morning, but it hadn't technically been dropped off at that location yet -This turned out to be an utter lie; the Uhaul location we went to told us that they hadn't rented out that trailer size and were not scheduled to receive one. Additionally, the representative had been wrong about the operation hours of the new location. We drove all the way there to find that the location wouldn't open for 2 more hours. Luckily we were able to get ahold of someone and they opened early for us. After all of this, we asked corporate Uhaul for a discount or coupon and were told this was standard procedure. If I can avoid using Uhaul in the future, I will.
