Although they take care of the property the actual contract was... They told me I had the one free month with U-Haul when I called from out of State, but when I actually got here they changed their mind. I was told the reason was other people wanted the unit, They wouldn't even pro rate my unit... Why did I pay for a whole month when. I only stayed 2 weeks... Reserved a truck from a location 2 minutes away from my apartment 3 weeks in advance. At 6:00 the night before I was supposed to pick up the truck, I got a notification saying that my truck reservation has been moved to a location 1 hour away from my apartment. I then proceeded to spend the next two and a half hours trying to resolve the issue over the phone and on the Uhaul website, which it never did. Driving to the pick up location and back added an unexpected 2 additional hours of travel to my day at the very last minute, on a day that I was already planning on traveling for 8 hours. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the way this was handled.Kenneth A.

Owner is greedy. Started at $135 a month in 2019. In 2 years the rent went up 240%. It was $325 at the start of 2021. Same as stealing to me. With the pandemic and the tight job market, raising someone's rent over 240% is just not right. You reap what you sow. On a side note, light in unit never worked, there was always trash right inside my door blown in there by the grounds keeper and had a water leak at the end. The unit appeared to be clean and all went well until we moved our things out of the unit and realized we had rat droppings on our belongings :( As we moved more things out, we discovered two dead mice on the floor of the unit. The truck drove like it had transmission issues. I had to pull over twice to let it reset so I could drive it without the engine reving high. The $29 rental for 32 miles ended up costing $112. I will do something different next time. They make it where you have to get the insurance otherwise you have to pay for the trucks downtime if it gets a flat tire. There was no one there when I turned the truck in, so I could not get my receipt or discuss the charges. I put gas in the truck and the charged me for gas anyway.Darsha E.

I was charged insurance unnecessarily and still it has not been returned to my account after several attempts with staff. Also there was a hard time finding transport carts in the buildings to take items to storage unit-i'm disabled and was on 2nd floor. Access hours were till 6 pm. The system was down at the time I picked up my vehicle but the clerk was great. She had to put it in manually. She was very nice and knowledgeable. She made sure I got on the road in a timely manner. It was a pretty good experience. I even ran over my time I was supposed to have the vehicle and I was able to drop the keys off even though the office was closed. I was charged 2 days extra instead of one day. We did not have the truck an extra 2 days. We had it extra from 10am-6pm. It was not 2 days. We were definitely taken advantage of. I brought the truck to the drop off location at 5:55pm and the lady said they would check me in the next morning because they closed at 6pm clearly she waited and charged us extra!RAY M.

I was charged for a 2 day rental and 2 days of insurance I had the truck for less than one hour. When I went to return the agent was busy and assured me that she would check it back in and send me a receipt that day. She didn't and I just received the email and was double charged. The truck that we rented didn't have any cold air conditioning and the handle for the window was broken. Had to drive it in 97 degree temperature for several hours dripping in sweat the way!!! Not fun!!ðŸ¥µALEX M.

Picked up truck after hours via mobile app. Truck was almost blocked in. Hard to get out. Ordered a dolly. No dolly in the truck. I had to drive there the following morning to pick up the dolly. That added to/from miles for my trip and added more gas money. Very disappointed. Never again U-Haul.Brian D.
