Strongly suggest that you automate your check in process!! Why does you agent need to enter my information every time I rent a truck or trailer..??? Customer information should be kept in the system to speed up the reservation and check in. You will be doing both your customers and your agents a big favor. Takes much too long with the current system. Given the current state of technology you guys are in the dark ages !! Final note - your agent in Lachute is amazing - patient, polite and very helpful!!

I would NEVER recommend Uhaul to ANYONE. Uhaul cost me approx. 500$ in time off work, time on the phone and gas (on top of the trailer rental). I will stress I am not someone who ever writes reviews, good or bad, but the service I received from Uhaul was Unacceptable. The trailer itself was fine, however the service and professionalism was the worst i've ever received; I work in the service industry and I would have lost my job over the treatment I received. Employees give false information and obscure notes are in your file. Their terrible system doesn't give you an accurate location and time and it is only confirmed the day before (don't believe anything the employees say in advance or confirmation emails, as it will change!) Spoke with upper management customer service (took me 4 times calling in with no call backs, and refused to hang-up until I was addressed) and they said that no financial compensation would be given as I had received and dropped off the trailer. They did not take any accountability for the errors their employees made and that it resulted in soooo much headaches and financial loss for us 2 days before moving across canada! As long as they get paid and they have their equipment they don't care about their customers. Customer service is a waste of time... I did not feel like I was treated properly or fairly. According to their records everything has been resolved. If everything doesn't go perfectly I guarantee you will regret choosing Uhaul.

Everything was fine at Lachute. I had to go there after the Hawkesbury location was UNABLE to provide me any truck. PLEASE close that location, it is simply impossible to rent anything there and you’re losing clients.

Stationnement plein de neige jai rester prit avec le camion, jai du marcher dans 1 pied de neige pour retourner a ma voiture les bottes pleines de neige , il mon facturée pour un supposer milage excédentaire inexpliquer.

J’ai perdu 5h de ma journée durant le déménagement car les cordes metalliques qui retient la porte s’etaient defait des poulies. Nous n’etions plus capable de fermer la porte une fois l’appartement vidé et camion rempli. J’ai appelé 1-800-U-Haul a 1130 et on m’a dit qu’un technicien allait passé en dedans de 2h. Apres 2 heures d’attente (14h) je rappelle disant que je n’ai pas de nouvelles et aucun technicien n’est venu... on me dit ‘’je vous reviens’’. 90 minutes plus tard (1530h), toujours pas de nouvelles...on decide d’essayer d’arranger la porte car la journee avance et on est tanné apres 4h d’attente. Une fois sur la route et porte arrangé temporairement par nous memes... on nous appelle pour dire qu’un technicien serait la dans 30 minutes (4:30h plus tard que mon appel initial). A la fin du demenagement, pu capable de fermer la porte... ca pris un autre heure pour essayer de rearranger le tout. Service a la clientele relié au camion en cas de pepin... un GROS ZERO.

Place was closed. Instructions said to leave the equipment Inside the truck and lock it, but no locks were provided so I had to go buy one just so I could lock the truck.

Mon expérience a très bien été et véhicule très bien entretenue et je recommenderai à ma famille et amis et pour la qualité prix.

Nous n'avons eu aucun negatifs sur le lieu de cueillette du camion outre le fait que ce soit tres loin de notre residence. Le personnel sur place était accueillant et accomodant. Toutefois, je considère que le service à la clientèle UHaul (telephonique) est mediocre. Nous avons fait face à plusieurs promesses non respecter et sommes extremement déçu du "service" obtenu. Notre experience Uhaul a été très stressante et frustrante.

The service at this location was excellent. The problem is I had to drive over an hour to get there from my actual location in Montreal. This completely eliminates the benefit of a one-way rental. As a result I am unlikely to use UHaul again.
