When I came to Pick-Up at Central Ave Tires & Towing @ 4:30pm, the doors were locked in the front office, no one was available to assist me until I went to the bay area where some guys were standing around. I was in a hurry, so they had to find someone to assist me. The environment was ghetto like. Poor management. For the next customer, I would try going somewhere else.Derrick K.

There were several areas of the lower chassis thag were rusted clear through or flat out missing, such as the u bars on the suspension, that we only found when we had a flat. Roadside assistance said that this was dangerous and could have broken at any time. I submitted a complaint and have heard nothing. The defective equipment caused me to miss a substantial amount of a family gathering (~4 hours on the side of the road, including time before we managed to connect to RA, and the delayed responder), and I have heard nothing about amends to be made.ALEXANDERJENNING H.
I reserved a van for in store pick up and when I arrived the mechanic attached to the uhaul pick up informed me they had left for the day, and called to do my reservation again over the phone, the additional process took an additional 45 min and I did not feel comfortable with the process or any rental questions I had being answered. I was utterly disgusted With the difficulties we experienced during today's rental process. I rent from U-Haul every single week for our food share program in the community. I have had a couple snafus here and there, but I have never had as bad an experience as the one I had today. My driver arrived to pick up the U-Haul at 9 AM which was our appointment time. No one was there to process the rental out. After 20 minutes of my driver waiting outside of the location, one of the employees called the person who should have been there and they said they were on their way and would be there in 15 minutes. Now it's 9:40 am. and someone else was supposedly on the way and would be there in another 10 minutes. Finally, we were told now that a woman would be coming in about 5 to 10 minutes. It was an entire hour that my driver had to stand outside of the location and wait for the worker to arrive. Needless to say, We were late for our pickup and late serving the community. I am planning to write a letter to both the regional manager and Corporate.Laura S.

The cargo van was not cleaned before my rental period. There was a box of food on the passenger seat and it appeared like a liquid was spilled inside the rear passenger cargo door. Also, this survey only allows me to rate the location but I think the app needs a satisfaction survey much more than a location survey.Michael G.

Pros: Van was brand new and clean. Staff was friendly. Cons: Staff had not put the key out for mobile pickup; the van that was assigned was actually out of service, and staff had not updated the assigned vehicle in the system. Staff had to call for help in order to do so. Took an extra half hour to pick up the van than it would have, after I had gone through all of the steps at home to make mobile pick up possible. While mildly friendly, staff had no sense of ugency in customer service.Aaron M.
when i picked truck up at u-haul i noticed it had 1/4 tank of fuel , i went right backl inside and avised the agent , she said just make sure it has the same amount of fuel in it when i bring it back.which i did . now i see a 15.00 charge for fuel .whats up . when i returned it she never came outside to check in the truck, never gave me a receipt or ANYTHING i feel i should be credited for the fuel charge ! i am about to pick up another truck from u-haul and hope that it will be alot better experience. i had this truck reserved for yesterday but i was running late .and could not get thru to tell them . i was 500 feet from door to pick it up and i got a call telling me to go somewhere else that they had rented my truck right out from under me ,. i surely hope that today is going to turn out much better ,,,,,thank you Greg RamseyGREGORYALLEN R.
The location is very dark at night and needs more lights. This survey seems to focus on the location but my real complaint is the app and when that doesn't work like it should the long 48 minute hold at 1800uhaul. Three times the app didn't do what I needed and had to call only to wait 23, 38 and 48 minutes. Uhaul really need to hire more employees to work the phones or to fix the app!Michael G.

This is the worst location I have been to. Customer service was terrible. The employees were very disrespectful, one thought I was trying to steal from them. The other hung up the phone when I was disputing the extra charges on my credit card. Had to go through upper management for a refund. Uhaul sells towing equipment and their name appears on it, because the employee seen Uhaul on a tow ball, he assumed it was theirs and would not believe I had bought it. I had to secure it in my vehicle before I went into the office or risk the chance of it not being there when I returned. I had to beg for help returning their equipment because they were to lazy to do it themselves. Worst ever, I could of been injured, they put their customer at risk.Derek W.
I have never received such poor customer service in all of my life. I reserved a 15 ft. truck to pickup at 9am on 8/1. Upon arriving to the location there to open the door or receive customers. Multiple people were outside and in their cars waiting. When the men finally arrived to work they were rude, impatient, not helpful and dismissive. Once I did get someone to speak to me they tell me that despite having a reservation there was NO TRUCK AVAILABLE for me. No other locations had availability either. I was told I could accept a cargo van instead. I deeply regret choosing to rent with UHaul and in the future will look into other truck companies to fit my needs.shannon L.

I dropped off at AA Enterprise 3010 Rhode Island Ave NE Washington DC on 7/30 (not the address above in this survey). It was a scary place and the person on location did not speak English (at all). He handed me a cell phone and the guy on the phone told me to leave the van on the street wherever I can find a spot (which was not easy to do) and drop the key in a mailbox. The van was then recorded as being dropped off the next day (7/31) and I was charged an extra $43. This service is totally unacceptable and I would like a refund for the extra day and a 30% discount on my overall reservation due to the terrible experience. The lock to open the truck was virtually impossible to take off - I spent over a half hour at it - toooo tight on the cargo door. Incredibly frustrating and stressful since this was a before business hours mobile pickup.Yaniris P.
Of a customer has a pickup time, the representative should be present at the location. When I arrived to pick up my truck, the representative was not on site. This was supposed to be a contactless pick up and that was not the case. As a result I had to wait over 30 minutes from arrival to leave with my rental truck.DeBerry G.
