Online 24/7 drop off and pick up process doesn't work very well, very hard to follow and had to redo process to many times for it to finally work system needs some work. Customer service takes forever to respond online and via phoneAustin S.
Arrived about 9:40a. Knocking at the door(per instructions on the door), while also calling.. NO ANSWER! Business hour stated 8a-4p.lights on, open sign on.Called & waited another 10-15mins. Went to sit back in my car. Thinking if I made an reservation online that I could avoid waiting any longer. I still had to wait. Ended up calling customer service and just then someone pulls up and opens the door. proceeded to go inside. The employee did not say hello or any type of greet. He looked very unenthused and annoyed. Proceeded to get through the rental pick up process. On return, I was informed that I would be charged $38 fuel charge for the gas being slightly under, fine took the truck back to get more gas. Attempting to pay, the employee informed me he did not have enough change to give me back what I was owed! Again I had to leave and go get change . This was the most drawn out uhaul experience I've even done. This was my first time using this location and I never will again just based on customer service.Kieara W.

Location finder on app wouldn't work no matter how much all other apps could find my location. Decided to return when the site opened. Site did not open when supposed to. After on hold with u haul nice telephone employee told me to just drop the key. As that return app cannot find the location of my iPhone 6 no matter what you do.Theresa J.

I returned the trailer Tuesday morning, no attendant available so I tried the self return. The location on my phone wasn't working and the self return said to contact Uhaul, I tried but the wait was to long so I did the chat. I also talked by phone to a person from Castle Storage, all I wanted was a confirmation that I delivered the trailer in good condition and a receipt. It took 2 days for that. Not happy.James G.

I marked the truck dirty when we picked up and the return place charged me a cleaning fee. When we haul high end furniture we just used same size uhaul last week! Also there was sign on there door be back in 10mins they didn't come back for 1/2 hour then said something about there boss they can take hour break so then put down you will be gone hour not 10mins! This was first time returning there and the last of ever getting anything from the â€œreturn locationâ€ I rent uhaul all the time might be looking into other box truck like budget or something for future.Robert M.

The guy at counter was limit friendly. The equipment was stuck in icy snow and we had a lot of difficulty to lift and hang on the the truck du to the ice. I had to clean it too because the trailer was full of snow. Beside of that the bottom of the railer was pretty dirty too.Benoit B.

We parked the car in the parking lot. When I stepped out, it was a sheet of ice and I fell and hurt my back and left hand. The facility was not well maintained and dangerous for customers. I reached out to Castle Storage by phone and email and have not heard back yet.Aaron C.

When a customer makes a reservation for a certain size truck and the vehicle isn't available, you should let them know ahead of time and not when they come to pick up the truck. Luckily everything worked out for us.Kelly D.

I would recommend picking up anything during the weekend, the lady who helped me was fantastic 5+ stars. The guy who checked me in was over anal about everything and just basically unfriendly but did connect my trailer... due to connecting the trailer give 2 stars... needs to improve customer service. I will be trying to avoid this location due to his customer service and knowing he works on the weekdays (when i normally pick up)NICOLAS M.

I was called 3 times to ask me when I was returning the truck, it was somehow entered in your system as a 9 hour rental, I picked up at 4 pm on Friday and told the guy I would have it back by 4 pm on Saturday, he said that was fine. Truck had mechanical issues. Big disappointmentment. Could not drive over 30 mph without shaking violentlyCharles H.

Poor customer communication skills at Castle storage in Michigan City. When I entered the attend did not say hello or welcome he basically barked at me and told me I couldn't park my car where it was. During the check in there was no show of appreciation for the business or offer to explain anything to me. When I returned; same thing. I pulled the truck up to the office and again he basically barked at me to tell me I had to park the truck across the street. No signage was there to direct returning trucks. He sat in the truck while I stood in the parking lot and I had to get his attention to confirm that I was good to leave. Everyone has bad days. I get it. I believe this gentleman just has a bad attitude. I hope I'm mistaken. Not a good look for the company.Matthew M.

A front end alignment would be nice. The vehicle pulled to the left very bad and made driving on the highway extremely difficult. The windshield wipers also need changed. I had to pull over and let the windshield dry before I continued driving after trying to clean the windshieldAlan F.
I would say if you're looking for a u-haul rental place that doesn't show up on time, arrives 30 minutes late with no apologies and no greetings, and carrying a firearm to make you feel uncomfortable with their silent and angry demeanor, than this is the place for you. 👎jeffery S.

We in good faith replaced the gas as instructed by the employees that since it was 3/4 quarter full and to fill it back up to 3/4 quarter. We did but we're still penalized with a fuel charge. So the amount I ended up paying in total, I could have rented a truck elsewhere.Nancy L.

The bigger trailers need to have a hitch jack to help with connecting to the tow vechicle, the hitch on the 6x12 I rented I couldn't even begin picking it up must be a couple hundred pounds. Just a suggestionDavid Z.

This location was by far my worst UHaul experience! Their lack of knowledgeable employees and man power literally ruined my day and delayed some very important plans. If you have no experience or help with hitching the trailer yourself, do NOT rent from this location!SHONTIQUE B.

U Haul is well aware that they need to offer correct adaptor wires for connecting the tail lights to newer cars - it is total bullshit that we had to go to an auto parts store to purchase this - what if there wasn't a store near by? -We would not have been able to use the trailer that we needed! Your locattions need to stock these for purchase!!!EILEEN U.

Dishonest and lacks total integrity! I returned my equipment on time and during working hours; however, I was charged a late turning fee. To add insult to injury, they added the most expensive insurance package without my consent. My bill charge increased by 150% for nothing. I called to correct it, and they corrected the bill (I spoke to Anthony). However, the credit was reversed in two days, and now I have to deal with this again. NO INTEGRITY!Guillermo M.
