The vehicle had a significant passenger side door gouge that was not identified to me upon pickup. Upon stopping at a rest area enroute, I discovered the damage. Fortunately, there were stickers evidencing that a claim had been processed on the damage, assuring and proving I did not cause the damage. This needs to be identified on pickup! It's scary finding damage and knowing you didn't do the damage!

I did not like the fact that the day before I'm scheduled to pick up my equipment I receive a call from Uhaul telling me I have to go to a different location farther away for pick up. I reserved on line and confirmed, at that time, a truck and trailer were available at my preferred location.

The pickup was dirty inside and out. Mud from the previous customer was on the floor mats. The rear right turn signal did not work. The rope from a previous customer was still in the truck bed.

I was given the wrong vehicle, got an eye roll from someone working there, was told they would remove the cost of both dollies and then still ended up being charged for both. The 'pre-check-in' was supposed to save me time yet I stood outside the truck for 30 mins in the hot sun with no shade and then when it came to check mileage I found out I had the wrong vehicle. Tack on another 15 mins. Ridiculous

The location is perfect, well located, easy to park, the staff is always the same for years, that means people are happy there. You'll find everything you need (accessories) and super fast. My only advice is not related with the U-Haul Cary branch, is for the U-Haul website, it should be more efficient, for example, don't have redundancy when customers input data (credit card, ID, phones, etc), anyway, is not too bad, I'm very happy with U-Haul. Thanks U-Haul!

Angie is the Godess of all things UHaul at this location!!! ❤️ Her husband is the Wizard of all things UHaul at this location. 🇺🇸 I was under a Major Amount of STRESS due to the fact the I was relocating from Raleigh, NC to Ottumwa, IA. I was rude, short tempered and just plain unfairly impatient with the whole team. Angie and her husband should be considered for a Comercial as representatives of what “Best in Class” means in the world of Customer Service! I am a tenured Hilton Hotel General Manager of over 14 years. If they ever have the desire to relocate to the Mid-West I would hire them both in a New York minute! ❤️ 🇺🇸

We reserved moving blankets and they didn't have them. They didn't apologize and just said "The only thing we don't have is the blankets." More importantly, NEITHER EMPLOYEE WAS WEARING A MASK and there was no plexiglass or anything to protect customers. I see a lot of people pretending to wear a mask by wearing it below their nose or something, but to have no protection anywhere is shocking these days.

The truck I picked up was filthy inside. I had to clean it myself since I picked up the truck after work at the end of the day.

Back/Box of truck Clean; the Cab not so much. Windshield quite dirty too. Truck ran great. Office staff was excellent. This wasn't my preferred location due to distance to my home. I doubt U-Haul will credit me $ for the extra milage I had to drive/pay. I called the 800 number about this and hung up after being on hold for 25 minutes.

People were friendly over the phone. But... We rented a truck, which we discovered to have black tar or oil all over the floor. Now I am having to clean black off of anything that touched the floor, which was a lot of bins, etc and taking me twice as long to unpack and not get black grime all over me and my Cream carpet.
