The trailer was not hooked up properly, it came off the ball and popped up in the front when trying to load my vehicle. Also the was a very sharp piece of metal that was hanging off the trailer frame. It pierced my hand when I was securing the vehicle with the chain. I showed it to the person who I dropped the equipment off too.

LOLOL, I wish I had know about all the pictures I needed to take before I locked the truck up!!! I didn't look at the "return" text until I was standing at the key drop box! Luckily I hadn't dropped the key into the box before I looked at the text!

Would have been nice if the lady knew what she was talking about when it came to the turning in and the actual equipment. Thanks for being so over priced!

the process was painless, I had already uploaded the necessary documents required for rentals and doing so before hand saves a lot of time when picking up equipment. staff was very professional and knowledgeable about their product. I rented a 9' van and it was in great condition newer model, low miles rode and drove exceptionally. greatly exceeded my expectations and will definitely be renting from this location again in the future if needed. thank you guys -keep up the great work!

The checkout process was unclear. The person who usually handled it was not in the office and the person filling in was not well informed. Otherwise, they were friendly enough. A couple of cute puppies were on hand to welcome customers.

The lady who is in charge is very rude and abrupt. She added on insurance, even though I told her to not add it, and it was not in my initial reservation. She simply acted like it wasn't her fault, and there was nothing she could do. So, $80 dollar loss due to shady practices. The shadiness continued when we went to inspect the van. She quickly walked around the van and said 'see, no dents anywhere'. I had to point out a massive 6 inch dent on the back door, to which she seemed super irritated I saw, exclaiming 'yeah, i took a picture of it already'. I tried to show her a ridiculously poor paint job on the side that was hiding an obvious scrape, and was promptly cut off with 'here's the key, good luck', and then she literally speed walked so fast into the building that I half expected to find myself on a hidden camera show. That's when I found the trash pile inside the cargo van! The uhual cargo van was disgustingly dirty - it was bad enough I had to make my first stop the damn car wash just to clean out all the trash stuffed under the seats. ALL of this debris was clearly visible, including straw wrappers etc. Of course, I couldn't actually find that out because the key was held ransom until the very end. I would have immediately returned the van if it had literally not been the last uhual cargo van available in the KC metro that day. So, absolutely shady business practices, a van that looked like it had hosted a party, and I overpaid? I've been steady renting uhauls by the week for the last few months - guess which former customer of uhual didn't rent another cargo van this week? Enterprise and Budget/Penske were super happy to earn my business, and offered fantastic customer service. I'm not sure who oversees the KC metro market, but wow, how in the heck is this location still open for business?! One bad apple definitely did cost you a previously very loyal customer, one who paid you all thousands of dollars with no issues. No worries, Ill take my business elsewhere, and will do my part to make sure everyone knows just what to expect from this location.

This is not the location that I dropped my truck off at. My U-Haul contract told me to leave it at Maynards Cleaning Company in Lenexa, KS. Apparently Maynards no longer has U-Hauls at their location, but U-Haul refused to stop sending customers there. My truck was left at Maynards so I never stepped foot in Carter Car Co.

This business is super clean, very professional and a joy to do business with. Their reviews and photos on GOOGLE are horrifyingly bad, and they really need to fix that ASAP. This business, and these employees, are in no way like the reviews state and the pictures show. Their business HAS to be hurting from those reviews and there is no reason for that now. Please have them update their footprint on GOOGLE to properly reflect this wonderful business.

Truck performed well. However, the windshield was covered with bugs and the dashboard was very dusty. Overall, I was very pleased with the truck and the service.

The truck's gas tank was not topped off but read as 13/16. There is no way for a customer to accurately replace the gas used unless the tank is full when it leaves the dealer and full when the customer returns it. I filled the tank prior to return assuming it was full when rented. We were cheated of nearly 1/4 tank due to this shady practice.

Called 3 hours early to ensure location would be open for our drop off. Location closed 30 mins early on a Saturday (we dropped key in overnight box), they’re closed Sunday and then charged us a $59 for an extra day when they finally got around to checking our contract in at 5pm Monday. I would not recommend this location and am completely dissatisfied. Love U-Haul but this location is terrible.
