I checked the truck as "clean" when I got it because I had not climbed into the cab yet. Afterwards, I found an empty beer bottle on the floor between the driver seat and middle passenger seat, as well as some kind of brown sticky substance on the lower part of the console and floor.

After completing the truck check in via the Uhaul app, there was some gentleman name “Jommy” that the cashier inside the store told me to contact to basically complete the check in process all over again. The cashier “Maria” was extremely rude, I even had to call “Jommy” back to let him know how I was being treated, he was unhelpful as well. Terrible service.

The drop off site was 18 miles from it was being used. There are multiple U-haul rental places within three to four miles. U-Haul should use a drop off location closer to the place being used to save the customer time and to decrease the mileage on the equipment.

They refused to give me a receipt when you get there to pick up the truck you have to call somebody in New York give him your confirmation number wait 10 minutes and then they and you a key and send you out the door

Was told that this was a 24/7 drop off center. It was not and no drop box for the key. When I walked into the travel center, the cashier was not friendly and would not take the uhaul key. Very unpleasant experience.

The representative from this location was about as in helpful as could be. Rude and lazy are just the beginning. On top of that they charged me for fuel when I was clearly about the level required. Thankfully uhaul customer service was a big help. I sent a photo of the clear fuel level and the charge was quickly reversed. Do yourself a favor and select a different location

By far one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. The Representative at the counter was unwilling to help check in the vehicle. I was given a phone number and told to text a gentleman photos and he would complete my check in. After sending the photos which clearly showed all of the items he requested he charged me over $30 for 7 gallons of gas. When I responded with a photo clearly showing that the gas level was actually at the required amount he just told me I should just contact corporate. I cannot status enough please do not select this as a drop off location because the service is abysmal.

Need someone there to help assist with trailer hooking it to vehicle. It is hard for seniors to lift the heavy trailer hitch.

It took 2 hrs to get the rental, had to get the district manager try and call the jerk that runs it, very rude. Was promised some,money back from the district manager due to the problems we had trying to pickup this rental. Of course that was a lie.I would not recommend this company and especially this location. 2 hrs to pickup a truck, and the girl in the exon was horrible.

Had to drive past 3 Uhaul locations to deal with a rude guy on the phone. No effort put into customer service at all, in fact we were treated rudely and threatened when we questioned why we had o remove the dolly from the truck and carry it into the store, never had to do this in 30 years of renting uhaul trucks. What a slob.

Offer an actual dropbox instead of having to text an individual named Johmmy to complete the return. The clerk could do nothing to help me, and was not very friendly. Despite completing the online return process, I could not leave the drop off location until Johmmy got the photos and info he requested. I then could hand the clerk the key.

This was the worst experience I've ever had dropping off equipment. The person that runs this will not answer the phone, falsely charged me for fuel. The store clerk that you hand the keys to accuse me of parking at the end of the parking lot which I did not and didn't even know what I dropped off. So very rude that I will be sure to never step foot in that place again. I would never recommend picking up or dropping off at this unprofessional setting. I was alone when I dropped the 8x12 trailer off and couldn't physically remove the trailer from the truck. Nobody would help me at the store so I had to ask a stranger getting gas to help me.

Vendor needs to be onsite. You have to call this vendor then he has to give the ok for the clerk to give you the key. Truck had blankets, rope and trash thrown in the back. I attached a picture to my reservation.

I've used uhaul many many times before but never again. Pick up was easy but they didn't have my equipment ….uhauls service has gone downhill so bad that I'll literally never use it again….I ordered hand dolly and appliance dolly with our 26 ft truck. They didn't have any… I went to two other uhaul locations… none. I had to do my move without them. Made the day miserable when moving to a house that sits above a garage and is on the second floor. We are 50 years old. Not young kids anymore…. I also said I wanted insurance every time I spoke with a person about this rental (3 times) and still didn't have insurance. It's a good thing I didn't have an accident because I'd have to pay for damages when I clearly stated many times that I wanted insurance. I even called while on my 15 hour trip to my new house and got disconnected AFTER fully explaining that I wanted the insurance and uhaul still didn't add insurance and didn't bother to call me back and you can't ever talk to a human when you call uhaul anymore. On hold for over an hour every time I called. Then I also booked a mover. Put in my address and they gave me my choices… so I chose one only to be told that they wouldn't help me., they were too far away… why would uhaul give them as a choice if they are not available??? Then I didn't have a chance to use that money towards another company… it skipped right to refund and it took 4 days to get my money back. Absolutely the worst experience!

I dropped off my truck 3 hours early. The method of dropping it off was sketchy. I had to call a guy that the gas station clerk wrote down a number for on a scrap of paper to check it in. After calling and texting said guy, I never got a response and spent the next 3 hours stressing over whether or not my truck was checked in. The whole experience was unprofessional and nerve wracking. (Note that the clerk could not have been nicer and I do not blame him in the least for how this location handles their Uhaul business.)

Make sure the ramp is functional for women to use. Difficult to put back in took over an hour. Person should have til the end of the day to return rental. I was charged a full days rental for being hours late on day due back on rental.

HAve the trailer at the location is was supposed to be at!! HAve someone at the location you sent me to to check me in rather than having to call and wait for an hour and then have to text to get the trailer. very poor service experience. And made me 2 hours late for loading crew!!

Fairly easy to pick up but no one was on site to assist in connecting the trailer and there was no light extension for the trailer so I had to buy one from an auto parts store to legally operate the trailer.

I am giving U-Haul a one star, I went to pick my truck up on Saturday at master empire in Anderson South Carolina we are nobody showed up for work. I was moving out of state and on a time frame. I just recently rented a truck a month before also and had great service. The bottom line is I spent over $2000 in the past month and a half with U-Haul and had the worst experience this past weekend March 17,When I could not get my truck because the dealer did not show up for work. I will never rent from U-Haul again! Beware folks go to another service U-Haul is now too big to care about their customers very pissed off and do not recommend them

Have an actual process in place. Some signage with contact info/procedures. I called a random person I was given a number for by the gas station sraff, relayed exactly the issues of the previous damage, sent pics with proof of rusted parts etc. I left the gas fauge at the exact level I received it. Now I'm being charged $21 for extra fuel and received notice i will be billed for the existing damage. The online/ mobile process is lacking.

Called ahead to assure U-haul personnel would be present. Said they would be there until 10PM. Dropped off truck at 4 PM. U-haul rep was not present. Clerk at truck stop helped us check truck in. Told us to take picture of fuel & mileage and took keys. She would send picture to Uhaul rep. Picture clearly shows 1/4 tank fuel which was same as pick up. One hour later received email receipt showing I was charged $65.72 for fuel. U-haul clerk never looked at the truck and misread the photo of the fuel gage. Called U-haul rep and he said there is nothing he can do. Said to Call U-haul.
