The location I was forced to pick up from was staffed by an incredible helpful person but corporate U-Haul did an awful job. I was forced to pick up the truck from a city 40 minutes away and then the location I was sent to did not have the appliance dolly nor the furniture pads I ordered. The lady working the local point found another location with a dolly where I had to go rent the dolly separately but I was just out of luck for the pads. Corporate U-Haul didn't care. They explained that in a gray box, in ambiguous wording, it explained that my order was simply a request and I would simply have to accept the situation. Very poor customer service.Michael B.
Arrived at 1pm on time for the reservation. Tried online to complete the process. Was 'informed" that a vehicle was not assigned. Spoke to customer service 1, who after 30 minutes hung up on me. Was again on hold for 15 minutes before speaking to customer service 2. They helped me thru process. When I opened the lock box, no key was present. Finally at about 2pm, they got the store owner on the call, who guided us the back way to obtain the key. The customer service rep even agreed to provide some credit for our inconvenience. However, none was actually offered when we returned the vehicle. Very disappointing experience!Kamal N.

I am not sure about recommending the location. I never actually met with a person. I had to call and did everything by phone and they gave me a code to a lock box to get the key. It was quick but a little awkward. They also did not have the dolly I requested and didn't try to locate one for me. I lost over an hour trying to find another location that had a dolly available. It cost me extra mileage and time. Not my best U-Haul experience.Kina W.

Check engine light was on. Turned in U-Haul 20 minutes past due time and was charged for the whole day after having it for 3 days was charged $200 total. Pretty pricey for $20 a day.Nancy V.

I will say ,I really felt some type of way . The uhual i had rented saturday had . derogatory terms about african american people on the loading dock. I was really taken back by how the lady I spoke with really didn't care about my concern once i called and let her know about the f nword wrote all over the loading dock . I honestly would never tell and one of color to go to that location. Horrible how could that even go unnoticed.Lanishia S.

The location was fine the problem is the website which needs to be updated. I did a reservation and picked up after hours and it took over an hour before I was driving the truck away. I waited 40 minutes for a customer service rep to answer but they were very helpful by giving me the correct information that wasn't listed on the website. Went to return the truck during business hours but no one Was there so it took 40 minutes to manually return. The whole process was a huge hassle for me.Tony W.

I've towed a lot of stuff, the U-Haul car trailer I ended up renting instead of a dolly worked out for the best. Both Matthew at the Mebane location (via phone) and the lady at the s church st location(in person) were very helpful. It's nice to know there's high quality trailers available - the car trailer could be 20" longer, but it's adequate for standard wheelbase vehicles. The car trailer pulls very nicely, it's a good heavy duty trailer.KENNETH D.

Keep the main entrance to the parking lot open. I dropped off after hours and had to wait in a long line at Sonic (about 30 minutes) to get into the lot from the side. This is likely an issue sure to current conditions that have lines longer and slower.Matthew S.
