Horn didn't work, tailgate wouldn't come down. I was charged for after hours but there was nobody there when I returned the truck. He was on the phone with someone for his boat service when I arrived, and they told him he had to pickup before 6pm, so I'm sure that's where he was. He didn't say more than three words to me when picking up since he was on the call for his boat. Also charged me $10 for the insurance which I didn't opt into online and never said I wanted. Really horrible experience from top to bottom. Will never go to this location again, and will steer everyone clear from it as well. Go do a site visit for yourself and see how atrocious this place is.Barry E.

The operator of Carolina exports lied to me over the phone about return time after his online process wouldn't work and delayed the pickup process. He also extended my contract by an additional $22 saying customers were waiting. I arrived and there were two other trucks exactly like mine with no one on site. He also lied about the gas left in the truck on his paperwork. I'll never use him and probably Uhaul again.Chris U.
$20 after hour service fee was a real problem... I made the reservation and my brother drove. When he brought the vehicle back, we was unaware of the after hours fee as we only had the vehicle for 3 hours.Andrew J.

The u haul provider messed up our order & we had to wait an hour to get the situation fixed. The new truck they gave us had NO gas in it. And I still have not received my $50 refund I was told about over the phone.Joseph M.
We arrived to drop off the truck at 12:30 pm. Sign said open but door was locked. The location is grass and the lot was full. I parked the best I could with no one to assist. I dropped the key and contract in the drop box. Now they are charging me a $25 cleaning fee. There was a little dirt that I planned to sweep out once I arrived but no one there. I had the dolly, blankets and 5 unused boxes that I planned to return for credit. I left them in the truck since no one was there to turn them into. This location was a total cluster and seems very â€œback woodsâ€ in a growing community. Does not compare at all to the professional location in FLPaul S.

Was scheduled to pick up trailer at 3:40 pm on 7/1. Owner texted me at 6:40 pm on 6/30 telling me I had to pick up trailer by noon on 7/1 because he was not waiting on me . brother in law picks up trailer by noon , I get to his house by 3:30 on 7/1 to find no light cord and both main leaf springs holding axle in trailer broken and not usesble.christopher N.

I was to pick up the truck at 9 am based on the mobile app and appointment. Had to wait over an hour for someone to come to office. Would have been nice to get it at the time I requested other than that all was goodKevin W.
The location was an old run down house that had no running water and no facilities. The building did not seem safe to even enter and the lot was an old rutted out driveway and dirt yard. It looked like an old condemned farm house. The truck interior was dirty, leaked, and had a puddle of water on the driver floor board.Shawn S.

Terrible location. It is an old house that is falling apart, no where to park, rude employees. The vehicle was dirty, smelly and had a broken windshield and mirror. I have used U-Haul for over 20 years without issue. I would not recommend this location.Krista C.

Truck was filthy. Items I rented were not there. The employee acted as though he couldn't complete a sentence. Grunts and "yeah" was all he could manage. And he charged me for insurance after I had already waived it. Poor experience. Very disappointing.Janet G.
The customer contact person at number: 803-650-3254 is not a good Uhaul representative. I called several times and each time he doesn't even identify as Uhaul...I have to ask each time. Yesterday, 5/30 was a holiday but Uhaul stores were open here in Tennessee so I assumed they were in South Carolina. I called this number again to report that I was missing a dolly and blankets and he didn't identify himself again and I started to ask my question and he said they weren't open and hung up on me. If that is a work phone, he shouldn't have answered it and certainly shouldn't have hung up on me. Very displeased with this person. Other people I've talked to in the process of moving have been great, but this person is very unprofessional.Patrick Y.

Posted hours were til 6:30. We showed up at 4pm on Thursday and a cardboard sign on the door said â€œclosed for the weekendâ€. On a Thursday. Also before this, we had selected a different pick up location but were changed to this location without warning.Rachel H.

I arrived at 3 pm. The location was closed with a sign that said, Be Back at 3:30. No problem, I checked in on my phone and retrieved the keys. When I got into the vehicle, I could tell someone had smoked in it. I ordered an appliance dolly and 20 blankets. Neither were in the back of the truck. I called twice and then sent a couple of texts. Finally, someone texted back and said they were out of appliance dolly's and told me to go out back and get the blankets. The blankets are kept outside and they were wet. This was at 3:45 pm. I had to go around and open all the trucks and found a regular dolly and the needed blankets. I finally left the site at 4. This is terrible service and I will never rent from them again. It's to bad because they are so close to my house.Robert Y.

Oil level was low when we picked up U-Haul, had to add oil. This is in the contract to put oil in vehicle if needed, you will get reimbursed for oil. UHaul should rent out vehicle with full oil level!Alicia A.

I was charged additional fees on Monday after getting a receipt because the owner said he did t see the trailer when he asked me to put it in a different location . My card was charged and had pending fees for 5 days . I dont like that because had i not caught that he would have charged me 106.00 more because he was too lazy to go check his equipment upon opening . He need cameras on his property so he can see when people return it . I want rent from that location again ..Henrietta M.

The online check in was extremely frustrating. You do the mobile check-in a day in advance then when you get there you have another laundry list of things to do. Then after waiting 15 mins for an approval even though I submitted my app and all my paperwork needed a day in advance it didn't save me any time on the day of our move.Dante G.

The box of the truck was dirty. I swept it out before I loaded anything into the truck. The steering on the truck needs maintenance, it is sloppy so the truck wanders all over the road. The agent could not resend me a final invoice. The agent told me I would have to call 1-800 Go U-Haul.Sebastian A.

The office appearance was off-putting (like an old shack) and the guy there had zero customer service skills. I had taken an Uber so I still proceeded at first. I requested a dolly on line but he didnt have one and offered me his personal. He put me in a van and then told me I would need to take it up the street to put air in the tire. The gage also showed the pressure was low. I wasn't comfortable with whole exchange. It was also much further than I expected from where I using the van. I sat in the van for about 15 minutes trying to decide what I was going to do. I got out told the guy I wasn't taking the truck, he said you are gonna get charged for the day. I asked how that is possible and said because I sat in the can. I replied I was there for 15 minutes trying to figure out what I was gonna do. He replied I am not gonna argue with you. At this point I was leaning inside the passenger side ordering my Uber.. He came by and said can you get you stuff out of the van since you arent taking it. I ordered my Uber and sat on the porch. He walked passed me, slammed the "office" door and locked it. (It was open for patrons when I got there.) A few minutes later I was charged for the day and went into chat with Uhaul. She told me it was marked that I went mile. I didn't even complete the van check form to confirm the mileage. Apparently the guy put a mile on my bill so he can charge me. I had to file a complaint to get a refund. Very unprofessional and bad experience.Tiana C.

The man charged me a convenience fee for not checking in online when I was having trouble with internet and it was after hours so there was no one to speak with. He also charged me for not having the truck full but I had returned it at the same gas level that I received it with. When I called to speak with him about this issue he then accused me of smoking weed in the truck but he was not gonna charge me the cleaning fee as if he was doing me a favor. I don't even smoke but to imply I'm a drug user is very unprofessional and disrespectful. When I asked for his name he told me he was with a customer and hung up needless to say he never called back to hear my concerns. This was the worst experience I've had with a uhual vendor yet and he definitely isn't helping the uhual brand with that type of costumer service.ANGEL M.
