I was told about key drop off , might have been nice to know that while exhausted after long day of moving that I would have to do the app & photos thing. Also didn't like that it told me I had driven 600 miles on the return app when it was 600 kilometres, didn't know if I should continue w it..... so I don't think I got charged more because the bill said k but I'm unable to check , just would be nice if app was in k. ...

This location in kingston was good. However, dealing with uhaul over the phone on the operators services was a nightmare! I had 3 different services cancel my reservation when an email was sent to confirm such reservation, with guarantees . Super aggravating and added so much more stress to an already stressful, last minute move. Three days ahead of time I booked, to keep being renagged. Reasoning was, they can cancel anytime if the truck was needed! Yes. I needed it. This shouldn't happen when confirmation of guarantee is sent via email. Yet, only last minute an operator in Ottawa, (not Kingston where I live) helped me out and followed through on a truck. Pointed me to the truck I got from Steve Fonyo Dr. In Kingston. The gentlemen working there was helpful and pleasant.

The cargo area of the truck leaked. I could not tell where the water was entered but it had to come from the rain since there were no liquids in the load. The result was that some antique furniture that has been in the family for 70 years was ruined. I question using U-Haul ever again.

I had asked for a dolly in the reservation. At no point was it indicated that it would not be available until I got to the pickup. This made the move twice as long (had to carry many heavy boxes a long way) and much more unpleasant. Had I known it would not be available I would have arranged to get one somewhere else, but there was no time as the elevator reservation was tight timewise. Second issue - my pick up time was changed from 8 to 9 am. This also added to the stress since, combined with the dolly issue, it put tremendous pressure on our ability to get everything moved in the alloted elevator time.

The gentleman that helped us was with the trailer was patient, kind, and helpful. I really appreciated his help as we were having some issues getting one of the trailers hitched to the truck. Great experience!

I suggest a better cleaning, with covid going on especially , the van wasn't that clean and smelled bad. Hair all over the seats and could see dust on the dash. But great customer service and great to deal with.

The van I rented was fine and the service at the locality fine, with the exception that I did not receive a receipt by email (as requested). However, immediately following renting the vehicle, my credit card information was stolen and several major purchases made by the thief, casing me to have to cancel my card and spend my time dealing with the credit card company. I am also EXTREMELY disappointed in the online nonsense one has to go through to book a rental with UHaul. I could not find the local number and had to call an international number, and was told to wait 16 minutes for assistance. I could have driven to the facility much quicker. And despite living in Canada, there was no option for service in French in addition to English, just Spanish. That doesn't have wide application in this country, indicating an indifference to our culture. If UHaul is purporting to be an international company, why not also have one or two of the major world languages included (e.g., Mandarin)? And why were the fees not listed in local currency ($CAD) where I will be renting and paying, and not in "foreign" currency ($USD)? Not impressed and won't be back.

This had nothing to do with location but, I was billed incorrectly and had to run to different locations to rectify the situation. I'm happy to report it was figured out and the staff were extremely helpful. Overall good experience minus the incorrect invoice and travel time.

There was damage on the vehicle that had not been noted. The employee did not hesitate to come out and mark these locations on the vehicle. Renter beware, do your own vehicle check as I guess they no longer come out and do one with you before you leave.

Don't show up on time if it's the first time you're using your phone To access/unlock it vehicle. It took me 45 minutes to wait too long on hold Ford customer service then get a US agent we could barely understand each other. What a complicated process for first time use!!!!! This location is my preferred customer service location but they're not open Sundays, unfortunately,

The vehicle was extremely dirty when picked up! Absolutely awful. Had to purchase a tarp to put of the floor due to the oil and grime on the floor of the cargo van. Also, based on the kilometers we went (11 kms as per invoice), when filling the gar tank it took almost $10.00. That seems pretty extreme for the distance we went, so I don't believe that the gas tank was truly full when we received it, and that is not fair to any customer!
