MERLIN NHard to get out of you have to drive off the curb to get onto the street. Lucky it was early and the street was not too busy. The neighborhood is sketchy too, not a place I would be going to at night.

Felicia RI requested a dozen blankets but they were none in stock Nevertheless I was charged for the blankets and could not figure out, with the clerk at the drop off location, how to remove these or provide me with a refund. In addition - no one at the pickup location knew how to complete the requisite paperwork so I had to deal with someone on the phone at their other location - I never received any paperwork for this rental. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
John CShe wasn't there even though we discussed the pick up the previous day. The place was closed for business. Some man had to call her to come over. I got the truck an hour later than discussed. I would have preferred the my first choice pick up location was hour. If the man hadn't come over I would not have gotten the truck.
Latosha MMy pickup was scheduled for 8:00 am on a Monday. The automated texts from U-Haul on Sunday said to call the number of the dealer. As they are closed on Sundays, there was no answer when called. Person who usually handles the rentals was not on site and had to remotely handle deal. Was around 45 minutes late getting away. Just a few kinks in the system, if your company is going to give a number to call for confirmation of equipment being ready then there should be a way of actually confirming. Poor fella at the site didn't have a clue what to do. Satisfied with end results but did delay my planned departure.

MALCOM SAfter I came home with the truck, one tire had a nail. I returned the rental place and it was repaired immediatley. Also, I was not able to pick up the truck in Kinston, NC as I originally planned. Instead I had to drive 15 miles to Ayden, NC to pick up the truck.
John AUhaul charged me for a half mile difference. Not very classy. I hope the 35 cents means more to you than me.
Donald DThe vehicle had a bad steering box it was all over the road , and the brakes were soft , if I had a long drive I would have Emg service and obtained a different Truck.

Thomas HThis was a junkyard environment first truck was secured behind locked gate right in middle of pathway was a 24 ft RV dead center with exit from area impeding exit then the drive thru soggy mud which could have turn bad (stuck in mud) truck needs alignment or wheels balanced or the sort cause it was a fight to steer and lastly my estimate and final bill was 20 percent more because 3/16s of gas ended costing me in excess of $20.00 what manufactor builds a truck that 3/16 of a gas tank equate to that $$ total when regular fuel is is less than $2.00 a gal. Especially when the disclaimer posted in truck say $48.00 is cost of full tank now 3/16this cost $20.00...WOW U haul...hope I never need your svcs AGAIN.
Charles MThis location apparently had computer issues. They did not receive my reservation before leaving the day before so we had to wait over an hour for someone to get there - reservation for 7:30 on Saturday person got there, after I called the number on the note on the door (which was not the number I had been given for a contact), at 9:30. Then the contract could not be printed since there printer was not working. However, the lady was very nice, professional, and apologetic for our inconvenience.

DICK gafter hours regulations should be posted some where outside. bc i rented a trailer, and there was no lock for the hitch to prevent trailers from being stolen, it did worry me, since the trailer was rented under my name-i would be held responsible if it were stolen. so i called customer service, and they walked me thru after hours drop off. told me to take lots of pictures for personal documentation, and to call them when i dropped it off so they could note my account...i did this, but there should be a better way....js
DELANA LWhen I arrived, the truck had been double-booked. I had no truck at primary or alternate locations and ended up after 2 hours getting a local truck to take. This was in spite of the manager being told by Traffic that they didn't have time to deal with her problems, and then hanging up on me twice. The customer service people were very friendly, but Traffic was a public relations fiasco. Thanks to them, I will never rent from U-Haul again, if I have any viable alternatives. Rude, unprofessional and generally useless is how I would rate them! As for the people at the pick-up locations, they were very nice and helpful, but equipment was old, broken and barely worked. Battery was dead and needed to be jumped entire time I used it, and door wouldn't unlock on driver's side.
BRYAN HThe truck was referred to as a "ancient truck" many bangs and dings, the key doesn't work on driver side, and the gas hand fluctuates. When I left the location I went less than 2 miles down the road to gas up. The gas hand never moved off E. 40.00. When returning the gas hand was still on E which 97.00 of gas charges was placed on my card. The return location, Megan, stated that they noted my account yet Uhaul stated the didn't see anything and would file a report. This made for a bad experience and one that could have been avoided with proper maintenance of fleet

Danna ICapital Automotive was Extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the whole process. When I arrived it took not even 10 minutes to get me driving even though I was confused, they fixed everything. Dean and his staff are true professionals, returning the truck was easy and quick as well. I will always use them for my U-haul needs as well as any of my friends and family. They know their business and truely look out for their customer's needs.

DAVID JIf you are unable to be available during your scheduled store hours then call customers that are due to pick up and make arrangements with them instead of them waiting around for someone to come to the store
Robert Rthe trailer we rented has a water leak in it....no damage to contents but some of your blankets got wet..so i did not put them back in to the bags...sorry..thanks again.....dan
DANIEL STruck had not been swept, was down a quart of oil, and nothing about the vehicle was reviewed with me. Some of the furniture pads were dirty. Truck had mechanical issues and slowed our trip down. I won't use U-Haul again.
