After the woman working hooked my trailer up and told me I was good to go, the trailer was making a ton of noise. Made it home (luckily just a couple miles) and realized she had simply sat the trailer onto my hitch, but did not attach it by tightening the large nut on top. When I stepped in to load a box the back of the trailer went to the ground and it lifted off of my vehicle. Almost tore my wire harness out. The pickup was easy, and the lady was nice, but my fiancé and I were in a very dangerous situation due to what happened. I didn’t call corporate because I didn’t want to get anyone in trouble, but it’s been bothering me and I was asked so I had to share.

The trailer was clean, but the door would get stuck and hard at times, to slide it down. It also is not easy to maneuver around the big pole, as traffic from apartments are driving in and out. Would be better, to move trailers between office and storage units. They also are not open on Sun. & Mon. and so if you have any issues, there is no one to help. I ended up, having to take it down to 2112 Caldwell Blvd. to drop it off.

First of all I was overcharged there were services put on my bill that I specifically opted out of and said that I did not want when I made the reservation online and I opted out of having any dolly or movers or insurance. I specifically put on there that I would reimburse you Hall if you need damage occurred right away, and even when I got to the location to pick up the truck, the lady checking me out specifically asked me if I wanted insurance on it and I said no they have security cameras in the office you can go back and look at the security cameras and verify that I said no I do not need it well the lady went ahead and put it the safe move on there anyways I originally got the truck for 24 hours and realized I was going to need it longer so when I called in to see if I could get it another 24 hours I asked her what my total was so far because there is a draft payment of $79 already taken out of my bank or withholding from my bank and I asked her why it was so much and she said well there’s the safe move on there and I said no I specifically opted out of it. She said she called her manager and that since it was already on the contract, there was no way of taking it off and they charged me in the safe move for the two days that I had the truck which was $28 complete BS. My pick up time was at 11 I was there specifically at 11 waiting to get my truck. I did not get a truck until 12 o’clock and I was outside in my car waiting, as I see the U-Haul pull up the people get out go and turn in their key so I went inside and asked her if that was the truck I would be taking and she said yes the lady at the desk did not even go outside and inspect the truck at all. She did not go out there and look at the mileage she did not look for damage. Nothing she handed me the key went off of what the lady before me had told her about the mileage, and how much gas was in it and said there you go it’s all yours. And that makes me question as to why she put the safe move on there was it because she didn’t go outside and inspect the truck before she let me take it? I don’t know but the whole experience was shitty and I will not go and pick up from there or drop off again , I didn’t get my truck and get out of there until 1215 but yet I still had to have it back by 11:48 hours later well technically 46 1/2 hours

Our truck was so loud that it just about blew your ears out. It had a hard time gaining speed and you could tell something was wrong with it. The engine light was on right from the get go.

While the staff was very friendly she was unable to use the computer easily and was not sure how to get it to work when it gave her an error. She was very pleasant, but I needed to get my trailer and go. I was a little rude and she was very professional. I apologized and she gracefully accepted. She just needs to work with the programs.

Have the equipment at the location where reserved so a customer doesn't have to drive 35 minutes to pick it up. Your employees should have retrieved the trailer and brought it to the reserved location.

There was no one there to help drop off the trailer …. Have a heart condition Or probably wouldn’t have been so bad …very little space to move around I wouldn’t recommend dropping anything off there unless you absolutely had to.

Worst customer service ever. I showed up ready to drop the truck off and I was apparently an inconvenience to the lady working there. I parked the truck in a row of empty parking spots right by the building. Went to the office door and she pokes her head out, and questioningly ask an I help you? Told her I was returning this 27ft truck and she told me she was going to check her paperwork, and that I had to move the truck up by the street on the other side of storage garages, otherwise if I leave the truck in this parking spot it could get fined. And while I I was at it, she asked me write down the mileage and fuel level. Didn't bother asking me anything else, just expected me to move it for her. I obliged and moved the truck, walked back to the office, waited for her to answer the door and when she finally does she says, you have stuff in the back of huh... Yeah sure do. I then waited for a half hour while she walked to the truck twice, as slow as possible, to get the hand trucks and blankets. She wouldn't let me in the office, I had to stand out in the cold, it was an embarrassing experience. I was asked to take the truck there by a uhaul employee, and had to go out of my to get the truck to this location. Would not ever go to this location again, would not tell anyone to go there. It was a joke. That lady could have saved herself a whole lot of trouble if she asked a few questions when she first answered the door. I have never before felt like such an inconvenience.

The lady sent me to another location to get the ball checked because she didn't know if it would work. She took way too long and I was charged almost $300 more what I was quoted!!! I don't even know what to do now or who to call.

It seemed like the lady had never rented a uhaul out before. She read directly from the script and did not bother to wait for my response or care when I responded. She was great on the phone as I was late to pick up the trailer. In person she was more concerned with answering her phone and ignoring my responses to her questions to be overly concerned with my rental. I have rented a number of trailers from U-Haul and this was by far an away the worst experience I have ever had at a rental location. I will never rent from them again.

I would have given an excellent score but we were told that our unit would be getting a security pad on it for extra security because it was outside the gates. It was never installed.

I originally wanted to rent an open trailer that was on hand, but when the attendant tried to set up the contract he was not able to rent it on a one way trip. So I had to rent an enclosed trailer and because of this I broke a part on one of the items I brought. Why one way rentals on open trailers is not allowed is puzzling.

When I called to make a reservation over the phone the guy I talked to made my reservation in another state so when I went to go pick up my truck I was unable to get a rental at my first location then I had to wait 1 1/2 hrs to be able to get another truck and I had to go pick it up at another location so I was extremely frustration that someone messed up my reservation in the first place I had paid for a full day of rental for a 10ft truck and was not given a full day I was called 1hr before my time for return and was told they had booked my truck to someone else and I was to bring the truck back at 3pm but I had paid to have it til 4pm so not only did I pay for a full day I had to wait 1 1/2 hrs to get my truck and I had to take it back 1hr sooner because someone else had double booked the rental I had already paid for I'm am extremely frustrated with this situation and I don't understand how someone can book a truck and promise it to someone else when my time for the truck wasn't even up I am not happy with everything that had happened moving is already stressful enough without having all the issues I had to deal with Uhaul messing up my reservation and cutting my time off that I rightfully paid for. I loved the locations that I went to however I was extremely unsatisfied with the 1-800 u-haul. I feel like the representative didn't even know what I wanted, It was a frustrating experience, I wish I could have dealt with the people at location the whole time.

The woman at the facility greeted us by yelling at us to make sure our dog didn't trample the flowers - our dog was no where close to the flowers. She continued to be rude because we were dropping off at a different location and we couldn't find our contract. She was very put out by our presence there. The problems continued with the issue of the gas. We filled up the tank till the gas nozzle clicked off. The needle didn't go all the way to full - it was at 7/8ths. The woman told me we owe them another $30 because we didn't fill up the tank even AFTER I explained to her that it stopped at 7/8ths. I had to contact your 800# where Crystal explained that it's due to the heat (it was 96 degrees out) and the fumes and told me not to worry about it, the fee will be waived. Well during the time it took for me to be on the phone, my husband took the truck and tried again where he was able to get a few more gallons in. The needle was now at full. This woman told me "see you didn't fill it up" accusing me of being dishonest. I told her what Crystal explained about the heat and not to be so indignant. She called me rude so then I told her- in a rude way to hurry up and let me take my flower tramping, aggressive dog home. She gave me a dirty look where I proceeded to tell her to stop giving me a dirty look. Oh yeah she accused my dog of being aggressive earlier (she's a nine month old puppy that had to stay outside because she wasn't allowed into the office and was nervous - probably sensing I was irritated). It was the most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced and totally tarnished the Uhaul name for me. We are mocing again in six months and I will think twice before using your company again.

It took me almost 2hours to get my trailer. The gal seemed to have way to much difficulty in putting things into the computer. Could not figure out how to split the payment onto two different cards. If I hadn't needed the trailer so bad I would have walked out. Then I ordered two dozen blankets and only got one dozen. Which I did not find out till I was in coeur d alene. Overall a BAD experience.

Do a proper job of checking equipment before renting it!! The auto transport had a visibly bad tire, three apple sized bulges on the tread and side wall!!! The district manager had to drive a tire in from twenty miles away to fix it putting us a day behind on our move! and the gas was lower than the contract said, 1/8th of a tank low! boo a very unpleasant expieriance!

VERY nice, secure place...VERY easy to access our storage location, even with a 26' truck!! The only thing wrong was a bit of a slant going up into the storage unit,built that way for drainage.
