I really appreciated that the mechanic came out and looked at why the lights wouldn’t work. Turned out the wiring connector in the trailer was bad. He replaced it quickly and got me down the road quickly.

I could not get my straps loosened from snow freezing the line. The UHaul man was there to pick up a damaged trailer and helped me when I am sure this was not his actual job.

I rented the Uhaul trailer at 10am yesterday on 11/29/22. I paid for 2 days, just to make sure that I would be able to move everything from my old home to my new home. I returned the trailer today, 11/30/22 at 2:30pm and was told that I was unable to recieve a refund of my money. I had the trailer for a total of 28.5 hours....not 48 hours. I believed that I would've gotten a partial refund, but I did not receive anything back. I don't think that's fair, as I swept the trailer out to make sure that it was spotless.

Windshield dirty. Turn signal light area falling out. Had to duck tape it. Window frames falling off. Low on oil and coolant. We picked up at a place that does not do repairs. People were nice. After we loaded truck we found out lock handle in back would not lock. It was cut in a couple of places.

The car trailer I rented had broken straps which of course I did not realize until the local U-Haul was closed. I was not able to pick up my car and I have a friend who’s now going to get it. I expect I should receive a refund but they told me I would not be getting one.

The lady who checked me into this location was very curt and simply did what was required of her, but was not very warm or inviting.

Trailer was so dirty and the hitch was wore out. When I dropped it off at a different location the first thing they said was this trailer needs a new hitch it’s shot. But it was better then the first uhaul that I had reserved who called the night before my pickup saying that I couldn’t pick it up at the previous arranged time and I also had to pick it up at a different location from the reservation. The whole point of making the advance reservation online AHEAD of time is so that it’s ready to go when you need it where you need it. It will not be my first option to line up a uhaul the next time, I will look elsewhere first. To add insult they charged me $50 more for the one I got after I cancelled the same unit from the first location because they couldn’t get it anymore.

I was completely satisfied with how I was treated by the staff at this location. However, I was a bit annoyed that the UHaul system did not allow me a 42 female with a perfect driving record, to rent this trailer without using my husband's name. In the year 2021, I should NOT have to add a man's name to my rental agreement. I would highly recommend updating your antiquated system.

This was an awful pickup experience. Didn’t get a copy of my contract because they couldn’t print it off, was told it would be emailed to me and it never happened. Went to hook up the trailer and there was no assistance at all there to help. My husband and myself were unable to get it because it was parked on a slope. After trying and wrenching our backs 3 times my husband went to the office and the owner of the facility had arrived. He then came down to help because we were going to leave. When I explained to him that he was supposed to hook it up and make sure the lights worked before we left the lot he stated he didn’t have time for this bullshit.

The lady was very nice however the regional uHaul office confirmed they had my equipment, I also called the pickup location and verified with them. Both times I was assured they had everything. However they did not have enough furniture pads. Only 3 of the 24 I requested. Only a minor set-back. The truck was tightly parked behind other passenger vehicles which I was expected to pull out from. The car tow dolly was not accessible with the truck, nor was it ready to go. I had to move other dollys out of the way by hand on a loose gravel lot (cutting my leg open in the process) then pull my tow dolly 30 yards in the gravel to hook it to my rental truck. Every time I’ve rented from Penske they have the vehicle gassed, ready to go with all my equipment in the back. This was now a pleasant experience for my first time renting from uhaul.

They did bot have the key to the truck. Had to wait over 1/2 hour for the guy to show up with the key. The truck has 1 headlight not working and the tire warning light was on. What did the inspect when the previous dropped it off? Also, not telling me that there was no truck at the location I was supposed to pick it up Friday afternoon for a Saturday 9:)0 a:m pick up is unacceptable.

My Reservation was not fulfilled as requested. I received a call less than 24-hours prior to pick up, changing the location of my pick-up to Lexington from Kearney. This change now required me to drive an additional 40 miles, one way, the day of the move to pick up the truck, adding additional time to my planned move, that was already on a tight schedule. The company (U-Haul) was only willing to give me the extra miles for the truck and nothing else. I did ask about reducing the cost due to additional time needed for pickup of the truck, fuel expenses and overall failure to meet the parameters of the reservation. Reluctantly the man on the call reduced the cost by $50.00. **The truck had trash inside the cab (pop & water bottles along with food wrappers) that I had to clean out, so I would not be charged with a cleaning fee when I returned it. My overall dissatisfaction lies with U-Haul itself. The phone call seemed to be a “going through the motions call” to whomever I spoke with. This individual did not appear to care about my satisfaction as the customer and appeared not to care about doing the company’s best to fulfill the intent of the reservation. If I was asked to refer to a future customer based upon my experience of this reservation, I may be very reluctant to recommend U-Haul at this time.

The workers at this location were extremely rude and I had the worst experience. On Friday I went to pick up a trailer. Once it was connected, the gentleman told me the lights works fine. I went home and packed my belongings into the trailer. I was ready to take off at night but my cousin told me to inspect the lights and make sure they all worked properly. We found that the brake, and turn signal lights were not working so I was no longer able to leave on time. I went in Saturday morning & told them what had happened. A different gentleman that worked there checked the trailer and said they didn’t work but since I was only moving to a city 2 1/2 hours away I should just drive the trailer since it would be daylight anyway. I was shocked and asked him if he realized what a safety hazard that was and if he would pay my ticket if I were to be pulled over for not having functioning lights on the trailer and he Just laughed. They offered to switch trailers so I had to take out ALL of my belongings and then pack them again into the new trailer.The gentleman that checked the trailer the day before then offered to check the lights. Again they didn’t work but my cousin tried connecting the adapter again and was able to get them to work. My cousin then remembered the employee from Friday had incorrectly hooked the trailer chains onto the hitch. They just left them hanging on with no safety stopper to secure them in place. Because of this my cousin asked the gentleman if he could make sure he secured it correctly this time and tried to help him out since he was an older and heavy set man. The man then became angry and started a verbal altercation with my cousin who was only asking him to correctly place the chains because he hauls trailers frequently and knows that state troopers will stop people for having chains improperly set up. He then screamed at us to “GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE GET THE HELL OUT IM CALLING THE POLICE AND THIS IS TRESSPASSING” & then stormed off. I decided to call the police because at the end of the day I just wanted to make sure my trailer was properly set up and connected. Over all I had the WORST experience and truly believe I should have been refunded due to the situation. The employees kept saying they were just the “middle men” which made them believe they only have to provide the service and not be of service. Horrible representatives Of this company, I highly suggest seeking a different location to continue offering your services in the Lexington, NE area.

Initially the system had me returning the trailer to a site in Massachusetts, even though I live in Maine. It also calculated my mileage at 2100 miles when it is 1850 miles. While I was there she got a call from a guy who was supposed to pick his unit up in Cheyenne versus Lexington, NE.

I shall start with open/close times: U-Haul should open at 0700 -- not 0900. Renting a U-Haul vehicle should require an inspection before and after the vehicle is returned. In this way customer liability is maintained. No such inspections happened when I rented and then returned my vehicle. It appears to me that this facility is not a primary focus for profit. There are very few items on display for a customer to purchase. Let me list a few: There are a mere dozen boxes -- and only of one size! There is a small package of bubble wrap. This might work to pack two dinner dishes. There was one box on display to be used for packing a flat-screen television. It was probably the only box available. So, what does this facility really do? It sells used cars. Directly behind where the U-Haul trucks and trailers are parked is what appears to be a salvage yard of rusted-out cars and trucks. Is this the type of image that U-Haul intends to project? There is a "Property for Sale" sign posted at the front of the facility. How confident does that make a customer feel?
