The gentleman who helped me was very professional and friendly!

Everything about the booking and utilization of the vehicle was outstanding. I am upset however over the $21.74 After hours service fee. The vendor and I had agreed that it was a 24 hour contract and since the pick up was about 4PM, the return should be before 4PM the next day. I asked about bringing it in early if the move was completed that night and was told what to do with it. There was no mention of an after hours service fee; I could have brought it back the next morning just as easily and I don't see where there was additional work on the vendor's part just because I brought it back early. Secondly, the inside of the truck had been cleaned, yet there was a $25.00 cleaning fee added on. There is no way that can be proved, but it does suggest, along with the after hours fee, that I was being gouged for an extra $50 - benefit for the vendor for sure, not so much for me. The service was excellent; why taint it with these two cheap shots?

Mileage on vehicle off by 11,000! Had to speak with 3 people and spend too much time correcting. Also did not get contract with gas mileage guidance on rental da. As a result, paid way too much for gas. Terrible, costly and time consuming.

Camano Marine is always very good to work with. U-Haul however has become very problematic. The practice of accepting a reservation for a location only to have the pickup location changed at the last minute causes real problems and expense. The latest "Truckshare" service is odd and requires very invasive and delaying documentation. Contacting references at the time of pickup, even demanding my residential lease is outlandish and delays the contract unacceptably. I have now taken to using ANY other rental companies if at all possible except for cases where it can't be avoided.

The equipment was clean. The motor was hesitating / not running on all cylinders. The odor of raw gasoline was present in the cab at times. We were concerned that it might break down while we were using it.

Attendant needs more training on connecting trailers

My trailer was placed on the ball hitch by a Camano marine employee. He hooked up the safety chain in an odd configuration. I drove away without touching the equipment. Five miles down the road the trailer popped off the ball and the safety chains fell off at 45 mph. The trailer bumped the back of my pick up and careened across oncoming traffic, ending up in a ditch across the road. Thank God no one was approaching from the south because they would have been killed. When i arrived back at The uhaul store, the owner accused me of monkeying with the hitch and chain, which i never touched at all. I’m thinking of bringing in my attorney.

Get the bugs out of your sign up via the phone. It is a pain to take and transfer drivers licence on your app. Let your vendors make a copy.

Have more unencumbered trucks available at the 99 Deli. Everytime I rent from that location your website tells me that there are ones available for rent...only to be called and told they are all booked. Fix your website to show this!

OUTSTANDING customer service from the old guy with the silver hair. He stayed LATE so I could pick the truck up, THEN when I returned it, HE even swept out the back for me as well. Will ALWAYS use this Camano Island U-Haul WHENEVER I need to rent a truck.

Every year on Mother's Day weekend we rent two 26' trucks. Every year we are told one of the trucks is either not available or must be picked up at a different location. We reserve in February, but every year we have to scramble to get both trucks on time. Very frustrating. If there were a better company, we would go there.

Friendly, quick, convenient. Easy to work with, The only problem is when I tried to call direct to local office on Saturday, I was routed to call center, who took message and said local office would call. They never did. All worked out fine, as we returned the truck early than expected, but it was frustrating to not speak with the local office directly.

Site was excellant-UHaul itself should be ASHAMED!! I had paperwork for a 26 ft and got notification that due to high usage I was getting a 10 ft. This was going from a Mayflower Moving Truck to a pickup truck!! Frank the District Manager should not be in his position as he more or less said 'Sorry-nothing we can do!' I told the person helping me there was a cut in the wire, he said it was ok, i was halfway thru montana after a rainstorm that it blew a fuse in my truck.

A used truck with very dirty sides with a low left tire was at the Uhaul Camano Island store as I arrived at the store. Staff drives the uhaul vehicle into the yard. I go into the store, fill out the form and pay for the rental with my card. I leave the building and they drive the same dirty vehicle with the low tire out of the gate for me to use. They did no service or cleanup of this dirty 14 foot uhaul truck I rented and am charged approximately $38 for the miles that I drove on Camano. I rented and only drove the vehicle on Camano Island and I'm told if I drove a uhaul vehicle to Tacoma, there would be no fuel charge. Another person told me they too believed they were over priced. I did rent a uhaul from this store about 1.5 years ago and uhaul corporate told me this station has a reputation for ripping off people and reimbursed me some of the excessive charges. They said they knowoff the problems with this Camano Island store, however, corporates except their improper conduct since it is the only uhaul on Camano Island, and they do generate a lot of income. It's kind of hard to accept that uhaul camano island abuses the public just so that the owners can make excessive profits from their customers. I understand there are a lot of weathly people on Camano Island but I am not one of them. I receive $940 per month after my $75 child support is taken out. I have 2 storages over in eastern wa that I can't afford to drive over and cleanup. There is verizon and auto insurance. Now that I am moving I had to rent another storage since my friend, who has allowed me to stay in their extra room for free, has no room for all of my personal possessions. That is why I needed to rent a uhaul. I've had ill health and have to pay for my dental insurance and I'm spending excessive money since I'm having to find a place to stay with some sort of rental fee. Even a local well known realestate agents acknowledges what a rip off this uhaul location is. Even the boxes are over priced. Very very dissapointed. My name is Brad. I rented the 14 foot uhaul on March 16 10am and drove back to the store at 6.40pm. The store was closed. I rented 2 industrial hand dollies and wanted to drop off the truck. However, my friend said, if i left the truck overnight, that the dollies could be stolen, since I could not lock the back end, so I drove it back to my friends house in Camelock by the IGA and then drove it back to the uhaul store at 9.58am Sunday morning. Just because there are no cameras and I feared that someone would steel the 2 dollies in the back of the truck. Didsapointed, Brad

Checkout was fast and efficient, same with check in. The person was friendly and took time to go over the insurance options and other details. Booked on line originally, and somehow got sent to a pickup location nearly 100 miles away which included an expensive ferry ride. The location algorithm definitely needs tweaking and maybe adding a warning when equipment location exceeds a certain mileage (e.g.25) from the customer zipcode . I was not able to edit the pickup location on my tablet (CHrome OS) . Customer service was super helpful locating suitable equipment closer to me. The original reservation was not cancelled when we updated the booking and I received a call from the original distant location checking t see if I was still needing the equipment. They were understanding about the change, so compliments all around to your people, online and physical store staff alike. Thank you.

there was no window washer fluid and the inside deck was not as clean as it could have been -- showed poor/no real intake inspection the last time it was delivered. Also there was no walk around inspection of the truck, which should always be documented. there was also no forewarning that they charge $10 to park your vehicle there !

Next time they need to be attentive to the scheduled pick up time. We arrive at 4pm when our reservation was, and they had not emptied the truck out for our use yet. We had to drive back home to wait 30 minutes until it was available. I was also very disappointed to hear the owner yelling & getting upset with his son in front of us. It was very unprofessional & upsetting to see.
