The guy, who works there, a Latinx, was worthless; he knew nothing about Pre-check-In, and delayed me for two hours. First, he just argued with me, saying he was going to charge me again. He then switched to making me call U-Haul, I of course was put on hold, saying that I was costing him money $90/hr as a mechanic. I got ahold of UHaul, and by then he began saying all of what I had been saying to him, and saying that he had been saying all of what I said, within the hearing of the U-Haul person. He then did not send me the checkout text, so I could note any discrepancies and he would not work with me to note the "boo-boo's". He also refused to give me his name. I also had to shorten the chains, as they were dragging on the ground, before I started my trip.Susan H.

The staff at Calistoga Towing were amazing and very helpful. Even answered the phone on their day off. I arrived and the code they gave me didn't work. But they still got me the truck I had to settle with because of u-haul. U-haul staff, that's another story. Two times in a month they have messed up my reservation and given me a smaller truck than i needed. Never using U haul again. Worst company with no ability to maintain my reservations. My first truck in Santa Rosa was given to the lady in front of me in line. When I asked why, they said she was here first, but i had the reservation and made the mistake of letting her ahead of me in line. A couple weeks later I made a reservation in Napa for my second move and despite me asking the customer service rep if my reservation would be fulfilled, they screwed me again and gave me a smaller truck and made me go to another town because my reserved truck wasn't available. Horrible customer service and not worth the price or hassle. Avoid u-haul like the plague!Daniel F.

We reserved a truck in our home town. Instead we had to drive 45 minutes each way to pick the truck up in another town. Called and would not transfer the truck to our original location. Basically tough luck. Would not recommend or use U haul again. Terrible customer serviceTammy C.

My reservation was from 8am-4pm. No one showed up until 8:45am for me to pick up. No one told me I had to refill the truck with gas. Because he was nearly an hour late, I missed some of my elevator time to move out. Then had to race back to deliver the truck by 4pm. I returned it on time and then this place calls me and tells me I should have gas in the truck. Charged me $42. I didn't have time! The guy didn't show up until 8:45! I had to call their answering service to travk him down to get him to come in. Shady operation and I am really frustrated they charged me for gas and would like a refund of the $42. And the truck only had 3/4 of tank of gas when I got in, he charges me for a full tank.kelly O.
Tell a customer that the trailer they are picking up has broken lights or fix the trailer brake lights before giving to a customer! I called in to inquire if a 6' x 12' foot trailer was in inventory. Tires were bald and trailer was unfit to drive. Dealer said he could do nothing for me, except cancel the contract. I took trailer to my home and called U-Haul roadside assistance, which took 5 hours to arrive. I have been a frequent U-Haul customer. I was headed to LA, 6 hours away, so there is nothing I could do but wait for the repair. This is the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had. I will look elsewhere next time.alan K.

I picked up the truck on a Sunday after pre-aranging to do so when the agent was closed. There was a mileage discrepancy and no one to talk to however the agent settled to my satisfaction.Paul S.
Reserved a truck for self check in. The keys were not in the lock box and the shop was closed. I found the owner around back after 30 minutes of looking for keys. The owner of the shop told me he was closed and waved me off, I kept trying to get his attention, annoyed he finally came to the door. After I explained my situation he told me he didn't have any keys for me. Long story short he found the keys hanging on his key rack after 20 minutes of calling uhaul and him telling me he didn't have a truck or keys for me (the truck was out in the lot and already checked into me via online). I also had reserved 3 packs of moving blankets and of course those were not in the truck so even if I had gotten the key via self serve lock box like I was supposed to I still would have had to inquire the shop owner for blankets. Thank goodness he was there since his shop was closed (this was before business hours) as the point of the self check in is to get the truck early before some of the shops even open. This whole ordeal delayed me over an hour, the whole point of my self early check in was to get an early start.Joe A.

We were not quite satisfied with our experience. We reserved out truck for healdsburg, as we are moving from there to Santa rosa. Calistoga is completely out of the way. When I called today, I got told that I was notified of the change, so I shouldn't complain. Uhm.. well, I got notified on Friday early afternoon (the day before) at which point it was too late to cancel, as we had taken time out of our work schedules and had asked friends to take time our of their day/plans to help us move, so that we can be out of our place. A truck could have easily been transported to healdsburg or a convenient location along the healdsburg/santa rosa route. Also, we would've accepted a 15' truck instead of a 20'. When we returned the rental, there were atleast 10 trucks just sitting there. Just not a great experience, as we had to spend more money and time on this than it should've been at our preferred location. It's not like we have a shit ton of $$ lying around.Mathew E.

Charged me $30 for a cleaning charge even thought the Uhaul Center I picked it up from gave me a dirty truck. I was a General Manager with U-Haul of Southern Oregon. We never treated customers this way.Rick M.
I truly enjoyed my experience with this U-Haul location. I've never been in and out of a rental location as quickly as I was able to do so here. They are conveniently located near a service station so you can refill the fuel if you need to. The staff was extremely friendly and easy to work with I truly recommend this location.Phillip D.

The truck wouldnt shift into gear. We had to drive 20 miles per hour the entire trip. Then i was charged a 25.00 cleaning fee. The truck was cleaned and swept. There is no reason for the charge.DAWN M.

The employees at both the pick up and drop off locations we courteous and did their jobs well. The experience with the reservation itself was a nightmare. Your corporate employees were not helpful and made the registration process lengthy and difficult. I made 4 calls ahead of the day, trying to determine if we could actually get the vehicle we wanted. Because of the holiday I was promised a confirmation call on the 24th. I never received any call. On the rental day, after an hour of red tape, my husband left to fill the tank.....the mileage was incorrect and he had to go back to th rental location. This was a terrible experience. No one in your organization had any knowledge of the after hours procedures. If I didn't have a smart phone I would have been unable to complete the check-in process. No where was this made known to me until I arrived at my destination. There was inadequate parking available at the destination. I had to struggle to fit my large truck into a space that was not illegal to park. It would be a good idea to warn receiving sites of incoming traffic so they can assure adequate after hours parking space.Charles H.

We had a 15 foot truck reserved for 9am. It was not available when we arrived. Rented a 10 foot truck loaded it and they called at approximately 10am. to say the 15 foot truck arrived. I ended up paying for 2 trucks instead of 1. I should be receiving a refund from Uhaul!ROBERT H.
