The only issue I had was I reserved the truck a week in advance online to pick up at 730am. The online reservation gave options the pick up location didn't offer so I arrived at 730am and couldn't get my truck until 10am when the location opened. Just put my move a few hours behind. But once the location opened the staff was great to work with and took care of me.Samantha S.

Ty was awesome. He is so very patient and mannerable. Uhaul had totally messed up my reservation and Ty took the time to fix it for me and get me moving as quickly as possible. He was so sweet with his explanation and verbal guidance on how to safely drive down the mountain with the auto transport and with how to hook it up and secure my vehicle. I am very appreciative and more than impressed with this young guy's personal presentation and customer service. He should be commended for his service.Jonette M.
We returned the uhaul to a Vape store. It was not open on Saturday till afternoon and we were not aware of that. We dropped it off and followed the iPhone return. Then we dropped by later in the day to assure that they knew we had returned and he said it was fine but could not give us a confirmation. It took many emails and phone calls to get the confirmation that it was returned. We would not use that return place again!Elizabeth C.

The appliance dolly was not at the location where we picked up. We had to go to another uhaul and was told we would not be billed for the extra mileage but we were billed and had to pay the additional money in order to return the truck.Tracy P.

my gas gage was off just a little compared to the checkout level. I was charged to refill the tank and when I got into the rental there was scratched all over the dashboard. being as I was out of town and didn't know the area and because I'm a very active customer it would be nice to not be charge for the small amount of fuel. very dissatisfiedANTHONY G.

Do not change drop off location to benefit UHaul . It will cost YOU more money in the end. Changed drop off location from Mt Airy NC to Cana VA prior to contract while making reservation. No problems and saved a few bucks. At pick up, the agent added a day (4 days to 5) of use at no cost, so he stated and the contract reflected. While loading the truck in FL, I received a call from Laura Mitchell, reservation manager, asking me to again change drop off from Cana VA to Galax VA for a $15 savings. Adding nearly an hour to my drive to return the truck, I negotiated with Laura to save a total of $27 and change the drop off time from 1100 AM to 300 PM. I delivered the truck promptly at 3PM with the fuel level exactly where it was when I picked it up.. The attendant did not want to look at the paperwork I had in hand, gave me no documentation indicating that I had returned the truck and told me we were through and all was good. Next I unexpectedly received an additional charge for $59 placed by the return agent for an additional day rental and the associated insurance., I disputed the charge with someone at UHaul who told me they would open a case for the dispute. Then I receive an email, assumedly from the return agent, with an unrelated explanation about elevated fuel cost. I responded to this with the original question "Why am I being charged an additional day of rental". Have never heard anything additional from the agent or UHaul. Apparently UHaul conflict resolution procedure is to give a BS response unrelated to the dispute then ignore the customer. Now, as I waste more of my time trying to resolve this problem, I realize that I screwed myself out of more money trying to be benefit UHaul. My overall experience with UHaul went from excellent throughout the rental period, to very unsatisfactory since returning the equipment. After this I would not recommend UHaul to anyone.Richard W.

It's not this location- it's in general. I wanted a pick up truck but was told none available until-I don't know- maybe never?? That's just crazy but it's how the company operates. The other thing is in general, no matter how far in advance you reserve something the chances of getting what you need where you need it are only about 50/50. To me that's insane. Why bother to make a reservation?KATHY E.

I was originally quoted $50, then $130, and now upon returning the vehicle I've been charged $200. This is for 175 miles and 6 hours with a van. I would have appreciated greater transparency on costs. Additionally the way my receipt was tallied is incorrect; it lists two days of rentals and shows the van returned an hour later than when I arrived. Very disappointing.Lydia A.
The truck I got was an older truck. Driving from Indiana to Virginia, it really had zero pick up for merging onto interstate roads, which was challenging. Additionally, the truck really didn't do well on the mountains. It tried, though!Faith K.

Make sure trailer tires are properly inflated before a trailer leaves the yard. Rear 2 tires had zero air pressure. It didn't affect my travels at all, but could have if hauling significant weight. Overall experience was still great.Gerald B.

Arrived at appointment time. Storefront was unlocked. No one was there. After calling a manager phone number the employee showed up 30 minutes after appointment time without a word of explanation or apology.Nicholas D.

At this location the person there did not try to help me unhook the trailer. Just said "drop it off down on the grass by the other trailers". I unhitched it and moved it around while he was inside talking to his friends out of the cold. No receipt was offered to me.JOE B.

When I arrived at the location the clerk appeared to be so stoned that he couldn't stay awake. After 4 attempts to get him wake up I returned the equipment online via my phone and dropped the key in the after hours box. Very poor experience.Steve G.
