The van I received had a bad odor in the main cabin. The back of the van had dirt and debris on the mat, yet I was instructed that it should be returned â€œcleanâ€ as to not incur additional charges. The worst part is that the right turn signal and tail lights were out. I didn't realize it was out until it was too late to exchange the van.Emily Q.

Received my van on E, I was over charged and I never agreed on the contract terms.rental at $99.00 plus 100 miles.when it was supposed to be $19.99 plus miles which was less than$100.00.but charged$123.00.I never agreed nor sign anything.he just took my license and gave me a key.So it was all to unacceptable.i even called my bank regarding this matter.I only came to this location cause the one on Solano Ave was booked. The vender didnt have my reserved vehicle on site. They were not aware of my one way reservation and only had a â€œlocalâ€ rental truck. I had movers waiting on site and had no choice but to take the local rental. This cost me twice as much as the original rental one way reservation b/c of mileage all the way back to store. Not to mention the time it took to return the truck all the way back. They were nice in the store, but this is totally unacceptable. A waste of my time and money. This was my 3rd rental in the last 3 weeks but i will be looking at other rental alternatives for my future rental needs.WARDELL A.

Marco was terrific! Very nice and creative problem solver. My only issue is the truck had a dead battery the next morning (with no lights left on). It started for Marco when he rented it to me so I don't blame him. Just happens!EVE N.

Just FYI that I started my reservation Friday 9/24/21 @MacArthur BLvd OAK w/c is Walking distance from my AirBnB went there made a reservation, but when I left not even reaching my Place got a call telling me it was cancelled since NO available truck, so I look up again online, gave me 2 places, Berkeley & Fruitvale, went to Berkeley since it's closest from my place, d guy told me w/ apology that there's no more truck available inspite there's a LOT parked in d premises, aside from that a lady just returned d size of truck I want, d guy said "oh most of them are broken" (almost 2 dozen at d Lot) ðŸ˜¢, BTW, I'm also reserved a storage in Tustin near where I'm moving for Monday d 27th. Finally a truck is available in VALLEJO so did d reservation via phone w/ d help of a lady Customer Service so went there right away w/c is @1pm, d riginal 9am p/u turn into 1p from 2 different sites. Went straight to my storage in Walnut Creek load my stuff until 5:10pm. Drive I go @5am Monday went I reach Tustin UHaul @El Camino Real d guy said he didn't see my name for storage reservation even explained d email sent to me was just telling me I'm "eligible", I got pissed n tell him "what does than mean?!?" With ALL d stress & frustration just getting a truck since Friday, NOW I'm just "eligible"?!? I felt ALL d PAIN all over you body & tremendous Headaches! I have to control myself to avoid episode since I have BRAIN Aneurysm since November 2017. Went back to my new rental place where I dropped off my needed stuff to rest & look for another storage coz d UHaul guy gave another site in COSTA MESA! I said NO, going to look for other company, thank God found just 3mi,especially from my new place and cheaper! NEVER AGAIN w/ UHaul, but THANKS ANYWAY to d big discount given !RENATO M.

There was no employee in sight when checking in to drop off the uhaul. I saw a gentlemen in the back area of the property who said the boss was inside. I was there for approximately 5 minutes, waiting for someone to come to the front desk but no response. Thankfully they were able to check the vehicle back in online ourselves otherwise he knows how long we would've been waiting there.Cynthia S.

I reserved a15' truck and was confirmed it was at the Vallejo, CA location. When I got there I was told none were available so I had to take the 10' truck instead. The agent recorded the gas guage at 7/8 and the mileage out at 54422. I took a picture of the milage and gas guage at time of receipt. Actual miles was 54438 and gas was between 3/4 and 7/8. Once I got to my destination in Santa Cruz, CA I opened up the cargo door and the cables that help open the door came off the track and I couldn't close the door. I called 1800 go uhual number and was on hold forever so I removed the pins on the cables so the door would close and I could return the truck. I told the attendant at the drop off location what happened and was told I would be charged $444.70 on my credit card and I will have to deal with the U-Haul repair department to get a refund. Considering this seems to be a faulty equipment issue and not misuse why am I even having my credit card charged??? Seems like U-Haul is trying to get the public to pay for their worn out equipment.MARTIN H.

Rented a 15 ft truck and tow dolly from this location. Paid extra to have them load my car onto the tow dolly and strap it in. Later discovered that the wheels on the dolly needed replaced (got to have Uhaul Roadside Assistance do this) AND the car was incorrectly strapped into the dolly.Claire C.
What upset me about this rental, which i was very upset, is the fact that, ONCE AGAIN, i was told I could pay for my rental upon the return of the equipment. I planned my funds on that fact. The representative who helped me rent the car trailer KNEW i was using it for a one way long distance move and age told me i didn't have to pay for it until i returned it. I faced that same situation before when my family and i were relocating from Fresno, California to Edgemont, S. Dakota. Both times, we were forced into a financial bind.WENDY G.

I tried calling both Google listed phone numbers several times and never got an answer. The three in person interactions I had were all pleasant. I called at least 3-4 times before noon on my day of drop off , nobody answered the phone, I was at least an hour away from the location on a Friday, I thought they close early ,then he calls asking if I was ok? I was confused , it was already late to drop off, I told him I drop it off the next day, after my husband's doctor appointment, 3-4 hours away (from Monterey to Vallejo ), I rushed to drop it off , then they charge me almost $60 for late fee? after driving 3000 miles ?and I'm penalized for not answering their phone.... I will never refer anyone to that location for anything,huge difference from the location I picked up, to the drop off , what a shame....Dalita D.
Marco, who runs the location, was awesome and so helpful! Unfortunately, there was a major issue with our check in process (Marco was unable to rent us the vehicle through the u-haul system due to a system error) which meant we had to call u-haul directly and spend over an hour on the phone fixing the problem, putting us 1.5 hours behind schedule and costing us significant $$$ as we had movers waiting for us. Also, we found out there was no available equipment on site, such as dollies or pads, even though we had reserved and paid for them days in advance. Again, Marco was friendly and extremely helpful, but Uhaul did NOT make his job easy.Connor O.
