I drove from upstate New York, When I arrived at the location, they told me the person who did the uhaul left for the day and no one else knew how to do it. They also said they didn't have any of the trucks that I had reserved. After some time they had a mechanic from the garage come in and see if he could use the computer which he did. They â€œfoundâ€ a truck around back and looked it over for me to use. Everything was paid ahead of time so I don't know why it was not ready. The girl at the counter was wonderful and did her best to help.Kevin B.

Unfortunately I didn't find out until a week later and I had no proof since the old rate was only on-line and I hadn't printed out a copy. I think it was a honest mistake. Also switched pickup from Maynard to Burlington but drove by Maynard location on way back and there were five trucks there including a 15 foot truck.Edward P.

I booked the uhaul van for 8am on Saturday. The time was confirmed and "guaranteed". It was supposedly a 24/7 location. I arrived at my scheduled time and tried to check-in on my phone, however I got a message saying I had to wait until 9am for the location to open. I called the uhaul hotline and they were unhelpful. She gave no explanation and only said I would have to wait until 9. I asked her about the $50 credit for the guaranteed time and she said I would have to talk to the location. When I pressed her about why she couldn't help me with anything and just passed everything off into the location she ended the call. When I got to the location they said the van wouldn't be back to the site until 9. I asked why they didn't let me know in advanced and they blamed uhaul. I asked about the $50 and they said to talk to uhaul. The exact opposite of what the uhaul hotline said. The gave me a small truck instead of the van, which I was not comfortable with driving but I had no choice at that point since it was now 9 and the van was still not there. The woman at the location said she hates working with uhaul. I do to and will never rent with uhaul again.Kevin C.

This UHaul experience was an absolute mess and chaotic that I swear that I would never rent from UHaul again and I'm going to do my best to keep that promise. The truck I received from this location had over 300 extra miles on it than the app said should have. I spent OVER TWO HOURS at the location trying to get a hold of customer service and being transferred around because no one knew who the right person was to fix it. When I finally got to that person, they couldn't fix it. It was a mess and way more happened with UHaul in general but this location in particular was no help.Arold J.

The pick up mobile system was poor. There was confusion by the employee of the facility who almost didn't let me take the truck because I didn't show her the key number from the screen however no where did it state on the mobile service this was necessary. The site connection was poor. Took close to 15 minutes for it to process all the information and approve me. On top of that, multiple items I ordered were not included and the location didn't have them. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience and made my move more difficult.COLLEEN N.

I will not use the app again, to many issues with it loading, information and so on. If there is an issue I rather just talk to a customer service rep at the store then have to call customer service. The incorrect truck number and mileage caused at least an hour delay on my contract. There was not an early check in before 9am and couldn't begin process 10 minutes early. Recommend allowing CSR at the store to fix issues with app instead of having to call 1800UHAUL for faster service.Jackie N.

I dropped my rental off at 4pm on Tuesday, and the uhaul representative ask for the keys and told me I would receive an email receipt. I had still not received the email Wednesday morning and my rental was still listed as active on the website. I called uhaul to close the rental and was told to wait until after 9am. My rental was due but at 8am and I explained this to the representative on the phone and was told I would be charged the extra day. I called again at 9am and was told I would receive my receipt by 6pm Wednesday. When I finally received my receipt they charged me for an extra day because this location logged the truck being return at 2pm Wednesday nearly 24 hrs after I had returned the rental. I had to call again and dispute the charge.Matthew L.

The manager was rude and too busy to investigate why the charge approval was not going through properly. He asked if it was my card and I said that my card was fine. He then said, "Well our system seems to be down then, so you are going to have to call them to straighten it out." I was pressed for time and asked what the problem was. I had done everything I was asked to do ahead of time to expedite my pick up, as I had a real tight window to drive the truck down to pick up my daughter and all of her stuff. He said ..."well it must be our system but I don't have time to call, so you have to." I said, "Well since I have done everything I was supposed to do, shouldn't you call them?" And he said, "Look I have things to do I can't waste my time for 30-45 minutes sitting on the phone." So I got on the phone and waited on hold....while eventually, after another 30 minutes he reached someone and it got straightened out. No apology for the delay ever offered. I was polite throughout and left disappointed in UHaul.Eric S.

The return instructions were to be careful not to block anything but there was only one space I could fit the truck. It might have blocked another uhaul which was sort of tucked around the back of the building but it looked like that one was tucked behind because no one was planning to pick it up. But it was something uncertain in the drop off process. It's always nice to drop off where the location is also a gas station though so that's a plus.Jessica I.

Your online pickup process needs improvement. Not user friendly as the app claims. We got emails to pick up in Burlington(our requested location), then Wilmington bc the truck wasn't available in Burl. but we were physically at the Burlington location and the truck was there and available. The owner of the Citgo Burlington was extremely helpful and facilitated the process for us. It all ended up great in the end but that confusion gave us A LOT of unnecessary stress.Steven M.
Nice and accommodating person but there was hardly and space in this gas station that doubled as a u haul delivery place. Had to park my uhaul in a VERY tight spot. Wouldn't be my preferred location in futureMajid S.
The service here was excellent, the employees really nice and helpful. The only thing was that the Uhaul that I was given had only half a tank of gas and the owner didnt catch that until another employee had inputted into the computer that it was 3/4 tank. The owner of the gas station said to call him if I got charged for gas not being returned at 3/4. Unfortunately, I was charged $33+ for the gas. The only issue was UHaul put my account on hold and never notified me. It was an easy fix and something that should have been taken care of on your end. Wasn't a problem but delayed the PU a bit. Burlington Citgo was a very pleasant experience, very professional and caring. Would highly recommend PU at Burlington Citgo.Kathleen B.

When I got to the rental location I found out that U-Haul had rented the same vehicle to three people and there was only one van available I got lucky because the guy who was ahead of me had stepped out because we all were waiting for half an hour just to rent the damn van. But the Fact that you haul would actually rent the same vehicle to multiple customers is completely ridiculous and I will never rent from U-Haul again. The fact that the people at the gas station were so nonchalant about it infuriated me. Seriously, you guys are very messed up and disorganized. Bad company.Sean D.

Made an appt... was sent to a completely different place, called and they didnt have the truck I needed, was sent to another placed which was 15 miles from my destination. Went to destination and they told me I couldnt drop it off at a location near me. They charged me 30 dollars for the first 30 Miles which I wasted picking up and dropping off the truck. Was told over the phone that I didnt have to pay more for an upgraded truck since it was 15 miles away and I was charged full price for it. Waited over 40 minutes to be able to get the truck. When I arrived at the pick-up location, I was told that there was a mistake and that my van was not at the site. Then, 10 minutes later I was told that they were wrong, I could take the van. I returned my keys at the end of the day and then received a call a few days later saying no one had checked in the van and they would have to charge me for another days use despite my having already returned the van. U-Haul was able to track down the van the next morning (it had never been checked in) and things were straightened out, but there was a lot of additional stress and phone calls because of this mistake.There doesn't appear to be a very good organizational system set-up at this pick-up location for U-Haul pick-ups and check-ins. Mechanically the vehicle was in great shape, only 11k miles. I would have expected the inside to be cleaner and smell better. In fact it looked as though the dashboard area and seats had never been cleaned. Despite the lack of cleanliness the vehicle/pickup and drop off worked out well.Neil R.

the person at the CITGO said "what do you want" looking at me like I was looking for something wrong: she was street like and impolite and never introduced her as the person working the front desk. Then she told me no one was available and could not tell me when there would be someone. I gave her my number and waited for her call . she never called so after one hour I called UHAull 800 number and they called and then I went back to the CITGO and again she said no one was there: There were 2 women also waiting by the gas station no one was helping them so I went to speak to them and asked them how they were doing. They said they were to pick up a Uhaul and did not know what to do: I asked them how long they waited: they said 15 min. then I told the lady why cant she help them . Then the lady asked them for a number and they gave it to her then she gave the truck's key to them. I waited another 30 min and the guy Naser finally helped me. He said he has to work and this is not what he has time to do when he works and that is why i had to wait.chantal N.

The location was very helpful but the overall experience was a nightmare. After confirming my reservation the day before (email wording said truck was "scheduled and guaranteed"), I was informed two hours before my pickup that there was no truck for me. I drove all over eastern Massachusetts and spent a very long time on the phone with four different local and regional Uhaul representatives before they were able to fulfill my reservation. The attitude of everyone I spoke to was that there wasn't much they could do and it wasn't Uhaul's fault. Then, after finally getting my truck, they mixed up the timeline of our reservation. We had originally scheduled a 48 hour reservation but they made it a twelve hour reservation when we picked it up, without mentioning the change, so this morning I got a call saying that the truck was late. The whole experience has been extremely stressful and frustrating.Megan M.
