The store was closed at 1:10pm on a weekend which are common days for people to move as they work during the week. The website kept having several issues with completing the "after hours" dropoff. We kept getting errors on the website that said "session expired, try again". We went through the entire return process 4 times, and kept getting that error or "server timeout" error on the final step each time. We finally got lucky on the final attempt before I was going to call U-Haul and complain. Very poor experience overall.COREY S.

Associate told me it had 3/8 of gas. He said I help you out and put it had 1/4. I called store 3 times and no one answered. The truck was sitting on red line on empty when I saw it at next light on rancho Santa Margarita rd. I put $20 in which barely got it to 1/4. They did not open at 10, maybe 1020. There were 2 other customers. I had made reservations online for pickup. Truck was dirty inside . Was raining, windshield wipers obviously need changing. Inside windshield had nice film on it so visibility was bad.MICHAEL R.
I booked my reservation a week in advance to make sure an appliance dolly and a dozen furniture blankets would be made readily available at time of pick up. Neither dolly nor blankets were provided, even though they were added onto my reservation a week prior. I had to drive to another location to just pick up the dolly and blankets which made my total mileage usage increase (increase in expense) and a waste of an additional hour driving around only to pick up an appliance dolly and blanket. Poor experience and a waste of my time, will be using Penske from now on.FARBOD N.

My experience with U-Haul was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. My pickup time got switched the day before, then my pickup location got changed on the day of, 45 minutes before I was supposed to pickup, then upon arriving at the new location at the scheduled pickup time, that particular location didn't open for another hour, and no key had been left for me for mobile pickup. When I called U-Haul, I was told, â€œOh, not sure why no one told you when we changed your location that we would also need to change your pickup time again. You'll just need to wait until they open in an hour.â€ So I was stranded at U-Haul waiting for it to open. In the meantime, with the two time changes, I lost all of the helpers I had scheduled to help with the move. Leaving me to do it on my own. After all of that, when I tried to return the truck via mobile drop off, certain steps in the mobile checkout process we're non-functioning, not allowing me to complete the checkout process. Not knowing what to do, and the location being closed, I spent 40 minutes trying to get the mobile app to complete the checkout, refreshing and starting over several times. My ride in the meantime waiting for me to finish. I would absolutely never recommend U-Haul to anyone, nor will I ever use its service again. I would like to share that the service provider at the RSM U-Haul location that finally did help me out, was wonderful. He was very helpful, understanding and accommodating.TRAVIS D.

UHAULs automated process is terrible. I made a reservation at one location, then UHUAL moved it to another. Which is fine because they sent a text, email, and voicemail to notify me of the change. But the online portal still showed my reservation was at the first place. Then The online portal change the time from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. without providing any notice. When I show up at 8:00 a.m. the place wasn't open and the guy was 20 minutes late. Finally when he showed up he didn't have the truck and he didn't know when the truck would be available. I couldn't get through to U-Hauls customer service over the phone so I went into another store. The lady at that store was great and really helped me get in contact with someone from U-Haul's customer service. Once I got in contact with U-Haul's customer service they were very helpful in finding me an alternative option. Despite the individual customer service representatives excellent service, my overall experience with U-Haul has been subpar and I'm not likely to come back.KYLE S.

I'd definitely recommend friends and family to this location and myself would like to do business in the future. David (Store $`1692) at the front desk is excellent in his customer service and goes above and beyond to help customers and address their concerns. The UHaul door latch wouldn't close due to my mistake and promptly went out to help fix the issue. If I am corporate, I'd love to have an employee like him. 5 Stars from me.AKMAL A.
