Website says they open at 7 am. I was at the gate at 7:15 but the sign said they didn't open till 7:30. I observed a gentleman walking around the property. He eventually opened the gate at 7:31. Absolutely no reason he couldn't open the gate knowing I'm sitting there waiting to do a return.

HORRIBLE customer Service and people skills The representative told me he could cancel my reservation and go else where if I didn't like the service there after explaining my concern about price not being the same as quoted. Transporter tire was flat a few hours later. Field rep jerry rigged tow plug and broke the ground to where the lights stopped working mid trip. Highly recommend to STAY AWAY from location

I was disappointed by the call I received two days before pick up telling me the truck I reserved was not available and I could pick up at a different location and additional hour away round trip. I was compensated with and additional day early pick up and the additional miles. In my estimation this was not enough compensation for the difference as I still had to pay gas and and extra 60+ miles. I was disappointed. Also the staff at this location thought I was picking up at 4pm which is when they close which made no sence. Also they had the location of drop off wrong thinking I was bring the truck back to them. I was disappointed by this.

I made reservation online for wild rose location which was closer mileage wise to where I was picking up my Uhaul. Wild rose did not have my truck and sent me to BSE. BSE gave me a truck with 1/16 th of a tank so I first had to put gas before doing anything after already being set back an hour for wild rose not having my equipment. I ended up being charged overage mileage at my drop off location because Uhaul didnt have a truck rental place where I was moving from, Uhaul couldn't get the reservation together at the location it was originally suppose to be made and their $50 guarantee is a joke if not an outright lie.

I had rented a dolly and when I picked up the truck I was told they didn't have any. It would have been helpful to have known that earlier so I could have made different arrangements.

Overall our experience was just okay. We reserved a car dolly in Bakersfield to pick up at 9am, we had some trouble that morning and didn't get there but 9, we were headed to the uhaul location around 10, the uhaul person called and told us or reservation was canceled! We didn't cancel it! So then we had to make a new reservation but it was 40 miles away in Tehachapi, fortunately we were heading that way on our trip so it wasn't out of the way, but it was still very annoying to get canceled on, uhaul should have called us to let us know they were going to cancel or reservation!

Again, we were redirected to two separate locations over two DAYS to find a location excepting truck returns and Uhaul.com sent us to a CLOSED return location the first time. The app again froze up and didn't allow after hours returns AT ALL. I called customer service and they assured me the app would work when I got in front of the second, hopefully opened, return location. It did not. Fortunately the staff at BSE RENTS in Tehachapi was exceptional and got our truck returned properly and our invoice processed on the second day. I would not recommend Uhaul based on this experience. We ended up paying $193 and used the truck for only 10 hours and 60 miles (it should have been 45 miles but all of the location changing last minute by Uhaul added 15 extra miles). That is not a fair price and it was not good customer service, nor a good experience.

They charged me without my permission for something that was not included in policy, my agreed upon purchase, and my authorization, I will never use u-haul again and am currently fighting with my bank to block any transactions from this fraudulent location.

Pick up and drop off was very fast and efficient. Truck ran perfect with no problems but it was not clean inside at all. I went directly home and cleaned the interior with a disinfectant cleaner to remove the coffee or soda that was all over the cup holder and armrest. Dashboard and console was so dusty i could hardly read the gauges

Very friendly staff, both inside and outside. There was an issue with the system not processing the contract information as the dispatch location. The woman inside person looked at the dispatch document and corrected the issue. Very happy with this location.

Upon checking in our vehicle, I simply asked about the gas tank because we had filled it back up to the level at pick up, the clerk basically told me he was sick of hearing people complain about it and that we should over fill the tank to get the same level upon returning. He was rude, we were tired and it did not refect well on BS&E rentals.

I paid for a two day rental I was told I had to have truck back in one day. I called the number under BSE to talk to them. that Number told me they couldn't do anything I had to call a different U-Haul number. I called the U-Haul number was told yes I had a two day rental. When I went to return the vehicle I was told I was a day late. I told him I called the number for them and was told I hadn't called them. That I had called U-Haul number. I was told they did me a favor and did not charge me for the extra day. I had paid for two and then used less than two Days. I fail to see where anyone has “done me a favor” by giving me what I paid for. I will try to use a different company the next time I need a truck.

auto transport was not well prepared. Tongue jack and front car wheel strap winches were desperately in need of lubrication. Winches were near impossible to operate and tongue jack was very hard to crank when under load. The yard guy even complained how hard it was to crank while hooking it up which I found amusing as it was his job to prep the trailer. Go figure.

Trailer tongue was slightly bent making it track off center about 1 foot to left we did not notice until we got ready to load. (I have pictures) I called and reported. The manager told person on the phone that stated it would not have gone out unless it was safe. We returned to location and yard service person was very nice and helpful agreed with us. I asked for another trailer but they did not have one. Inside person was very nice. Manager then threatened me that I would have to pay for trailer if I did not pay rental for at least one day. I paid for one day rental to eliminate the threat and go on my way. I figured out another way to move my equipment borrowing a friend trailer that I will have to drive back later this year. I would rather have paid uhaul the $600 for a one way rental. My wife and I have used uhaul many times in the last year to move our family east. Trailers, trucks and hundreds of boxes, blankets and rolls of tape. We know that this is a location problem and not a corporate problem. You should know that this business has a horrible local reputation. Most locals will avoid this place like the plague. I will never go there again.

Service agent ignored my comments about the $150 price overcharge difference between my internet quote from Uhaul and what I was charged. The truck was filthy and needed a serious windshield cleaning. Interior was very dirty with dirt on everything and smelled like cigerette smoke. Plus had 75 miles over what my contract had listed. Wasn't until I handed her my cell phone with a Uhaul customer rep that she became helpful. The area rep called me later and was very helpful. I'll find out in a few days if I received the $150 overcharge refund.
