The individuals i worked with were very helpful. The service was not. I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone after this.Scott K.
Booked a truck for 24/7 Contactless Pickup and Drop Off and it was not Contactless at all. I ended up having to go into the building 3 times and had to have someone come out twice to get keys, check damages, verify mileage that was way off and to give separate equipment that was booked and not out with the truck. The drop off process wasn't like it should have been. Was told to just leave the keys and they will check it in and update the bill. When the bill came in they overcharged us for mileage and the extra equipment (at pick up they said since it wasn't with the truck they would take it off the bill). When I called the next day the person I spoke with was very short and rude and acted like my business was an inconvenience to them.Kelsey D.

I reserved a 15 FT truck on 11/26/2022 for 9 am. When I got to Brooklyn Motor Sports in Brooklyn, CT the truck was not returned. I don't blame BMS for this, I blame the people who reserved this truck for me. Even though UHaul did not know the people would not return the truck, UHaul should reserve trucks that are readily available. Granted, BMS suggested getting refunded for UHauls mistake which I did. Still, UHaul should not reserve or double book a truck when the truck is not ready.Jay A.

Truck needed a lot of mechanical work, transmission slipped and brakes were worn. The online check in was horrible, it took me 45 minutes to get into the app, customer service disconnected me and never called back. When I called back no one was available and never picked up my call. I finally got into the app by myself. I will rethink using Uhaul in the future if I need to rent a vehicleJames H.

I arrived prior to the facility opening so that I could get on the road sooner. None of the equipment that I ordered (furniture pads, utility dolly) was in the truck, so I had to wait until Brooklyn Motor Sports opened to get the equipment. When they opened and I informed them of the issue, they did not apologize but sent me to a different part of the building to get the supplies. I was then told that I could get a dolly but not the furniture pads because they don't have pads. I would not have rented there if I had known that I had to wait for my supplies and would not get all of them. And then to top it off, I was charged for the furniture pads that I never got! This is not the first time that I have had an issue with Brooklyn Motor Sports, but it will be the last.DEBORAH C.

I had never done any business before with Brooklyn Motor Sports so I wasn't sure about anything. I hadn't rented a Uhaul in a long time so when I called I had alot of questions. The young lady who answered was very professional and patient and pleasant to talk to. So yes I would recommend this business to my friends.george M.

I had made my reservation a week in advance. Uhaul referred me to Columbia CT for my reservation. It's a 50 minute drive. I arrived early and good thing I did. Upon arrival I soon learned that the truck I had reserved wasn't available. Then I had to drive 35 minutes to get the truck I needed. I left at 12 and returned home at 230 !!! Not happy !!!!!!William D.
I did not like that I had to verify my identity a second time to get the code to the keys lockbox. Keep in mind, this step is after providing a photo ID and license. The choices for secondary verification were: have Uhaul call someone else, take a photo of my passport, call my employer for verification, or take a photo of my lease. Who would have these on them when they checkout a Uhaul with their cellphone? Luckily, I had someone with me who could say I was who I said I was. They could have just as easily lied. Again, this extra step was ridiculous and if I was alone I wouldn't have been able to checkout the Uhaul. I suggest that this secondary verification be removed.Jonathan G.

Changed pick up location (30min vs 10) No blankets at pick up facility (ordered 20) Gentleman was nice, but didn't seem to care too much. Not like I had 20 blankets lying around. Small issue, but not such an easy alternate solution. Price was good. Truck drove and handled well. Love the value and will continue to use. Will probably just ensure the location in picking up at has adequate equipment supplies, etc. Thanks for listening Michael V.

The rating for the location was an average of the pick up and drop off. The truck and equipment were there and in fine shape but the agent/customer interaction was lacking. Maybe the agent is not a morning person. I can dig that. When I returned 5 hours later, he (same guy) was tip top friendly. I will U-haul from that location again based on my return.James K.

The lower mirror on passenger side was broken before I picked it up. The low tire pressure light was on and when I spoke with the person he told me he knew about mirror and they didn't have an air compressor to put air in tire and there was a black rock or something in the back I didn't see it til I already started loading truck.John L.

The people at this U-Haul rental were outstanding. I was greeted on the lot in a very friendly manner. I was then shown inside and explained the contract clearly. Upon return, I met the same positive demeanor from the staff. Drop off was very simple.Stephen C.

Reserved 6/20 for 2 days with Shane in Columbia CT. Called 6/25 to confirm 5pm pick up. Shane tells me there is no truck. Come at 7 am tomorrow. Told my husband the same when he got on the phone. Doing an antique show with heavy expensive items that had to be packed the night before No call 48 hours prior to pick up from Shane [ per U-haul's policy ]. 2 hours and 3 frantic calls to the regional office which resulted in a breathtaking amount of pure incompetence - finally the third person [Leah ] got a truck several towns away for the 2 days that we had reserved. When Leah spoke with Shane to question the situation, he lied and told her that he had said to us that the truck would not be there until 5. At the other office where the truck was located, the person [ forgot her name ] said she would credit us for the 14 miles we had to drive to pick up the vehicle, but never did. Today,I called the regional office again 3 times and wasted an hour. The first person was some foreign smart alek who could not have cared less and in the middle of the conversation just transferred me to Tennessee who transferred me to scheduling. THAT person was professional and courteous. She wondered how Shane was able to get away with his conduct, told me that she was going to look into what happened and graciously gave me the refund on the extra miles I had to drive to get the other truck. Oh!! And they overcharged me 34 miles on the mileage. The round trip including the drop off was 68 miles. They charged me for 104. No, I did not take photos of the odometer, so I am out an additional 14.00. The whole experience was exhausting and stressful Pretty much ruined the whole event for me. I will NEVER use U-haul again.Michelle C.

Not obvious where to drop off the trailer. When accessing my on-line UHaul account, my account indicated that I did not have an active rental !!!!! So I could not "drop off" my equipment on-line. Later, I realized that uHaul sent me an email receipt of the return ! How can uHaul assume I dropped it off?? I photographed the unit where I dropped it next to another trailer. The dealer was closed, so I had no other choice.Michael S.

When asked questions they need to know the answers and not just refer people back to U-Haul. If they don't know simple answers they shoudn't be renting moving trucks.Laurie T.
