Jay GershonWe returned the truck that night. The next morning I had two missed calls, informing me that the truck was not returned and I could not find it. I didn’t call them and spoke to the manager and he informed me that the truck was not where we put it the keys were not there And that I needed to file a police report explaining what happened. I told that manager that we left the vehicle in front of the building and the keys were in the dropbox. He implied that I was lying and that he has been dealing with stuff like this in the past . I find it very insulting his statement especially when he told me to make a police report and reported truck stolen. Later on, I called the district manager at a different location and he did inform me that the truck was found and that it was all taken care of . This was a horrible experience.

Sami JackaronI reserved 2 trucks. A 26ft and 20ft long truck with 2 hand-trucks and a wheeled furniture mover as confirmed online and reconfirmed by phone to move my family. We needed them for a Saturday-Sunday move, so everything was scheduled for a 3pm pick-up. We arrived about 2:45pm the. I was shocked to hear when picking up Friday, that the hand-trucks were on a first come, first served basis and there were none left. Then when we started the trucks, both had check engine lights come on. Concerned, I went back to advise the desk person. He stated that they are serviced all the time and are fine. "The mechanic just doesn't know how to reset the check engine light, I was told. With no other options, we left. It became apparent right away that both trucks lagged on shifting even when empty. The 20ft truck also appeared to need brake work. I've driven box trucks a number of times, so aware it takes longer to stop a big truck. I had to drive really slow and stop really early after having to lock up the breaks and partially ending up in the middle of the intersection on a red light and the truck was empty. I have moved with U-Haul equipment several times prior, but this wasn't a good experience or what I expected from U-Haul. 1-Star rating out of 5.

TATIANA KOTCHNEVAThe cab was not clean but worse, I was told the gas was at 3/8 but barely at 1/8 dropping to E after 7 miles. I told the person at the desk about the gas gauge being below what the contract said and he said he would fix it. He didn’t. I am sure that I will get charged for returning it at the exact amount it was filled to. I took a lot of pictures to prove what happened. Still, it is a hassle.

alabama jepsonRep was unhelpful. Van was supposed to be filled at half tank when I picked it up. The van was basically completely out of gas instead. When I told the rep about the van having nearly no gas he said I could fill it up at the nearest gas station. When I asked what I should do if I run out of gas on the way there, he responded (without taking his eyes off his phone) just call someone to help you push it. He really didn’t seem to care about the customer experience. I asked if he had a gas can or something and he seemed shocked that I would even dare to ask that question. Van was fine after filling it up down the street but wouldn’t recommend this location for pickup.

I had my phone break the day after picking up the uhaul effecting my ability to communicate effectively. This man was completely patient and understanding with extending the rental.. multiple times. I cleaned and returned the uhaul van later than expected but a happy customer. Store was a box supply store on Detroit Ave in Concord ca.

The customer service is fantastic, the vehicle was ready and again it was easy to complete my transaction which took away a lot of my stress and allowed me to get the job done. They also have all the moving supplies you could ever need. Great location. I will be returning!
