U-Haul should not use Bombay Mart as a pick up / drop off location. From start to finish they were unprofessional and disorganized. Booked the truck on uhaul's website from 5:45pm - 10:00pm. Got to Bombay Mart and they told me the truck must be back by 8pm, giving me only 2 hours to move my entire apartment. They make up their own rules as this was not stated on the Uhaul reservation website. Upon returning the truck we were told we owe an additional $124.00 on top of the $110.00 that was already paid at pick up. The clerk was on the phone with the store manager while also checking out other customers items. I could not gather any accurate information on why I was being charged the additional cost due to the clerk speaking another language on the phone. When I asked her to explain she told me to come back tomorrow. I had to contact the manager of Uhaul to rectify the situation. I then had to go out of my way on a work day to return to Bombay Mart to sort out the additional fee when at that time they disclosed I could only pay cash, which I did not have at the time. I've used Uhaul before from a specific uhaul location and had no issues. Do not book your Uhaul from Bombay Mart on Victoria Avenue it will make things extremely frustrating for you.Madison M.
Long wait as key for truck was missing and attendant looked as if she couldn't be bothered. Then on return she tried to double my truck rental charges from 39.95 to 99.95â€¦ after an hour of back and forth I located my emailed invoice from when I signed/took the truck and then her manager finally reversed the charges (even though he was the one who assisted me after they couldn't get the key.) all around 1/10 experience - do yourself a favour and just go straight to the uHaul depot. Pick up was for 8. Worker was late for work didn't show up till 815. Ordered a 20 foot truck all they had was a 15. Had to make more trips went over my kilometers allowed because I had to make more trips because of the smaller truck plus it has a timing belt issue. I will never use ubhaul againAllan W.

The equipment was in poor shape. It was clear that regular cleaning maintenance was being skipped. The instrument covering so dirty it was difficult to read the mileage and fuel gauge. Rear door and ramp should be properly lubricated so they slide without a lot of extra effort.Bert D.

Picked up the truck at 9am no snow brush to clean the truck off after 15 min of sitting waiting for window to clear, notice my first stop was the gas station as gas light was on as it was a fraction over the empty mark 30 min in and really have not used the truck and yes the truck was dirty and came with a burger box ,food on the floor and stunk😣 This is not my typical uhaul rental Clean the truck if your renting it and put gas In it's your businessRobert H.

Make sure the debit machine works. I don't carry cash and as such I had to leave this location and drive to my bank machine to get cash. I lost 3/4 hour because of this. My time is limited as I work out of town.Kevin S.

I paid online 40.00 went to pickup the chic charged me 60.00. She could not see thr screen. Customer were coming in the store i had 1.5 hr b4 i had to be at my job she took customers whom were buying fountain drinks while she was in the process of REDOING MY ORDER HERSELF again charging me more money. I get the uhaul upon entering Cigerettes ashes all over . I'm a non smoker its gross. The Sterring wheel greasy, cab smelled 0 gas in the thing. $15.00 right away for a short experince with uhaul. I needed it to go to canadian tire pickup a item than back to my address and to uhaul to drop off. 8.8km breaks need work. Upon returning dolly and truck. Place is packed. I rolled the dolly in and gave the women thr key. I Said good bye i lef in the furture all pay a friend to get my items to big for my car before ever calling uhaul again. The cherry on top. Today I have a 60.00 charge and 227.47 charge on my mastercard. When I am done work today. I'll be backing that store. Truck had a claim sticker on it. Inch of dust inside. Wheel was vibration.. And the best... The cashier went on my card and charged me 177 bucks on top of the 100 I already paid for gas level.. Kept asking to see my picture of the dash when I picked it up to verify the starting gas level.. Then kept walking away from me refusing to look at the pic. I put 20 dollars of gas in and have the receipt. So 30km or so of driving cost me almost 300 dollars. Disgusting.I feel violated and couldn't drive home afterwards I was do upset. Uhaul took the last bit of money I had left from moving. After this experience I will never vouche or use Uhaul again (I have used your service a few times historically). There was less fuel than was on the contract. I took a picture but there was no issue with that. The only thing I notice with Uhaul is that they lack the 20-foot trucks and they need to get more of those in the southern Niagara area. This was my 2nd time I was in need of a 20 foot truck in the same week and you have to drive far 30 minutes to get them. Sometimes to go get one. (ONE WAY). 30 plus minutes away which adds on the KM and gas mileage and never mind your partner car who picks you up. Going that far can cost a customer $75 bucks in KM's plus gas and your own gas for your pick up so well over $100 dollars. You haul does not have enough 20 foot trucks closer to Port Colborne. I had to go to Niagara Falls and Font Hill with both moves so this cost me over $200 extra for both time's I needed to rent a 20 footer this week.Daniel A.

Took 45 mins to get the online paperwork done as the employee was more interested in answering 2 phones, making good orders, & talking accross the store in a different language with other customers walking in & out. The guy where we rented it was ignorant no people qualities whatsoever. The truck was empty with fuel. I was not satisfied at all. I will go with an other rental company next time. First the owner at the location told us we could only rent for 6 hours but the price said it was for $30 for whole day. He kept trying to pretend he cannot increase the time limit, then increase to like 10 hours pretending we knew nothing. Finally after some time he gave it to us for 23 hours but we are not that stupid, if it is advertised for a day, 6 HOURS is NOT a day. Plus the truck did not appear to be clean whatsoever from the previous use. Will never use this location again or recommend to a friend! When I picked up the truck, there was no circle check done also due to COVID 19 I would of thought and even Public Health would of been very upset if they found out that the trucks weren't cleaned. There was pop can, water bottle in the cab and in the back there was 2 garage cans left and cloths on the ground and full of dirt. I didn't expect to clean out the vehicle myself, when I returned and expressed my displeasure the person behind the counter hardly even say sorry. I would of thought he would of apolized or even reemburse me some of the cleaning up. There is a sign in the back that says if it's dirty they will charge $25 obviously that wasn't done because if they would of checked the truck they would of seen that it was dirty ESPECIALLY DURING THIS PANDEMICROCCOL C.

Attendant was late to opening the store so I could not pick up my truck at my confirmed window. Had to wait 30 mins before someone arrived. This location doesn't have furniture dollies so don't bother booking any. Also, I had the truck for a 24 hour rental, return it in 8 hours, but they said I didn't return my truck and contacted Uhaul to report it as stolen. They didn't bother to look outside the store and/or check the key drop box to see the truck has been returned before calling Uhaul and threating me with theft charges.STANISLAV G.

I was able to schedule my pick up at 8:30 am, on line, but the store didn't even open until 9:00am. I assumed that there would be a locked box to get the keys from with a digital code, since I choose to do my transaction with my cell. Either don't offer 8:30 or have a way to get the keys. So I needed a uhaul I rented one. And it was a 10 footer. $19.95. Well according to my credit card. A 20.00 uhaul for 4.5 hours cost $64.69. Plus $8.08. I am not impressed. When my other friend went to the uhaul down off montrose and rent a 30 ft uhaul for $20.00. Don't use Bombay.JOLEENA B.
