The trucks passenger side mirror was seazed causing me to not be able to see that side of the truck. The mirror was taped in with clear tape and when I tried to adjust the mirror it cracked. That's when I noticed it was seazed.

Online service needs to improve website as it continuously crashed taking photos at every step of the process. When calling 1-800 number for customer assistance, was left on hold for 20min and therefore gave up. We then called the location manager, Bob, and he was friendly, helpful and understanding.

mobile did not work. Had to use it through web browser. Asking for additional information, if it had been stated somewhere in the reservation process I would have allowed for more time to complete and brought the additional information to speed the process.

I returned trailer Sunday March 15 morning before 09:30 hrs. This morning March 16, Bob Pigott called me and rather indignantly told me I had not returned “his trailer” . I informed Bob that I had returned the trailer and it was on the south side of his lot near the highway. Bob looked outside his window and saw the trailer. I was not pleased

Rear cargo door was open and result was snow inside . Made for a slippery move. Rear view mirrors were seized in place making driving an unsafe experience. Not the fault of this location but a lack of maintenance.

The only complaint we have would be the mileage cost you charge. When your having to travel a total distance of 170 Km, or 107 Miles this adds a big extra amount, $ 118.77 for mileage onto what sounds like a great price your getting for a 10 ft. truck at just $ 19.95 per day. So $1.11 a mile or .69 cents per km to us seems pretty steep to charge. So total charge for a 2 day rental was $ 215.46. So we will be thinking twice before renting from you again in the future.

I lived in Markham which is a large population hub and I had to drive 40 minutes north to pick up my rental. Was not convenient at all considering I was notified the night before. All said and done the location I picked up from was great and everything worked out perfectly. Customer service in Markham and Peterborough were top notch.

There is a bolt sticking out by the back door (it fastens the jack to the wall). I had great difficulty getting my mattress out without ripping it on this bolt. This bolt should be relocated.

I over filled the tank with gas, $96 worth Due to my last rental I thought I would need it. I didnt and they wouldnt refund the difference. They said go syphin it. I didnt want gas in my mouth. So will never use them again.

My daughter experienced a similar situation on Friday June 27th when she moved using U-Haul. She also had booked a 26' truck and ended up with a 14' truck. Not only that; she could only have the truck for 8 hours instead of 24 and got charged the same as if she had the truck for a full day. She had to re-arrange all of her moving help as they were to help her on the Saturday she booked the truck for but the truck was only available on Friday night. She also ended up moving all night long causing problems with her new neighbors and landlord. SHE ALSO HAS ADVISED HER FRIENDS, FAMILY AND NEIGHBOURS OF HER U-HAUL EXPERIENCE AND STRONGLY ADVISED THEM TO USE SOME OTHER COMPANY IF THEY NEEDED A TRUCK.

Poor customer service, left an unpleasant voice mail saying he could not find the key in the drop box, I tried multiple times to contact him, left a message, no response. Did not phone back to say he found the key, but within an hour of his call, I was sent a bill with a cleaning fee...Interesting timing I thought - If I could get a hold of him I would like to inquire about the cleaning fee....Will not be dealing with this location in the future!

We rented a trailer. We were told were to pick it up - we did not choose the pick up location. When the trailer was picked up the wiring to plug into our truck was in poor repair - the lights did not work. The person at the rental place had to replace the wire. When asked where the trailer was to be dropped off in Ottawa we were told to look up any U- Haul location and take it there. This turned out to be incorrect information

The person who provided the truck told me he didnt have me in the system. When I told him it had been confirmed twice he then ranted that it was time for him to get out of the u-haul business. After I got contracts signed I aske dwhere i could leave my car (as I was told I could by booking agent over phone). he said i could not leave my car and there was nowhere i could park it. When I insisted he finally provided me a spot. He was quite ruid and I was already annoyed that I had to travel so far to pick-up the truck. Very inconvenient.

The entire rental experience with UHaul was terrible. I had a large truck booked with Budget but changed to a smaller one and the convenience of one way use with U-Haul. I booked a truck with a 10 foot box a month in advance yet on the Monday before I was to get it (in Barrie, ON) I had a message (had to listen to it 3 times to understand her) that there were no trucks in the area, the closest was 95 km away and I had to go get it. For my troubles I was given $23 and 60km free. From having to leave work early, to driving 45 minutes to another town to pick up the vehicle, then drive 95 km home (there goes the free 60 km). The pick up location advertised it closed at 6 PM on Friday, yet when I called to arrange the pick up he said he closed at 5, then on arrival at 4:45 the place was closed for the weekend. A terse phone call and he finally showed at 5.

Overally l really recieved very satisfactory services from Mr Bob. l would find it extremely effective to have an interactive money machine that customers can use for paying off our needed services from you not many people carry cash these days.

The man we dealt with came across as quite sour and miserable. The office wreaked of cigarette smoke and was very filthy and disheveled. I had to actually hold the door open to get some fresh air to breathe. It was a very uncomfortable experience. Also, when we got the truck and started driving a full can of beer rolled out from under the passenger seat. Needless to say we were shocked. The truck itself, however; was clean and tidy. We will never use this location again.

Not the cleanest U-Haul place I have been into but understand it is also an automotive facility. Service was average, but happy with overall experience.

My reservation was not for this location, the location I was to pick up from rented the truck I had a reservation for the night before with no contact from uhaul, we found out when we arrived to pick up the truck at the scheduled time. We then had to drive 30 mins back to pick up the truck at the new location. By the time everything was sorted out on the Uhaul side we were 4 hours behind, I ended up having to pay for an additional day for the truck because of this (our friends helping us only had a few hours they could stay for after this). When I called to complain I had to ask for the reservation guarantee credit as it wasn't offered, why have this if you don't honour it without the customer asking for it? This move should have taken 1 day...there is no way I should have had to pay double to complete this move over 2 days but the lack of a truck made that impossible, meaning it was also 2 trips to Keswick with less than a half full truck because I had to make sure my children had beds to sleep on. I was so disgusted with the service I received from Uhaul and the additional fees that I incurred that I am seriously considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. As it stands I have been sure to tell anyone who asked how my move went how terrible Uhaul was, especially the Daisy Mart location in Keswick and to tell them to stay away from Uhaul at all costs to avoid having this happen to them. This was a total money grab on behalf of Uhaul. The inconvenience was ridiculous. I was supposed to work a 10 hour over time shift on Sunday that I couldn't work because I had to finish this move. To say that I'm dissatisfied would be an understatement of epic proportion.

This bill can't be correct. First the return time is wrong it was 3:00 PM and why does it look like I am being charged a complete second contract???? I emailed reservations that I needed it longer and I had it one day longer sue to the extent of my move. Please have a look at the charges and let me know ASAP before I contact my card company to reverse the second charge

We were charged a environmental tax when we picked up the trailer of $75.00. We were not told this before we rented the trailer, and we rented a trailer, not a truck. We feel this charge was very unfair.
