Was charged for returning a rental late. Returned it prior to time due on day expected, put keys in drop box, had paid rental fees in full and left truck with amount of gas required. Was charged 72.00 for returning truck late! Have spent the day trying to reach the person who handles customer service remotely from the U-haul rental facility in Macon. Now on hold with company directly.

the equipment was dirty, the lights didn't work but they got them working except for 3 running lights and the dealer lied about checking the tires. One was flat and had to be replaced that night. Also you directed me to return the equipment to a location other then what my contract stipulated. Your business is really lousy these days and I wish that someone else would start renting trailers! I am sure that Penske or Ryder could do better!

Renting the tow dolly was easy and quick. The attendant was very helpful. I had engine problems with my motorhome, so had to stop in Charlotte NC. I changed my drop off location easily on line with your chat feature. Unfortunately, I couldn’t haul the dolly to the drop off point as my motorhome was not drivable. I went to two u haul locations, both less than 2 miles from the tow dolly. Neither location would help me get the dolly to their place of business. Considering my circumstances, and the close proximity to the u haul location, I feel both locations should have helped me to return the dolly. 2 miles, come on!

Be sure the car transport wheel straps are not broken or frayed. I had to drive all the way back to get them replaced and this put me way behind schedule.

Scheduled an after hours pickup and when I arrived the door was locked and no one was answering the phone. The equipment I requested AND PAID FOR was not in the truck and now I’m having issues getting reimbursed for it. The uhaul customer service line is a joke. I’ve been on hold three times for 15 minutes a piece!! and am only JUST speaking with someone. Bottom line I will not be using or reccommending uhaul to anyone.

My confirmation for pick up location was for 770 Gray Hwy, Macon ga 31211. I was never contacted on the change of pick up location until i arrived there. I noted on the application to text me and they sent an email. Hence an additional 30 mins plus 10 additional mile coming from Atlanta Ga. . Now looking at my final bill, you charged me for an additional 9 miles on my contract. What to do to improve?? Clearly COMMUNICATE using preferred documented vehicle!!!

The gentleman who owns this operation is very nice and takes the time to go over details of vehicle operation and the rental agreement. Moving is challenging but his assistance made it easier. I will need a U Haul next year and will return to this rental location. Thanks.

No never again. The guy rented me the truck for one price but after the fact charged me twice as much as I was quoted. Said it was for a gas fee which was a lie also for 25.00 plus 30.00 then charged a cleaning fee. WHAT CLEANING FEE!!! The truck was clean, empty, nothing left in it. He later said it was for him having to put gas in it. WHAT! That's what he said the 25.00 was for. Dont rent from here.

I rented from Boatworks in macon and the guy had no clue what he was doing, he couldn’t find my reservation that I made online so I hAd to give all of the information over and over again that I had already provided on the online reservation. When I dropped the uhaul back off he said that he didn’t record the mileage before I left to tell me what my cost would be. So then I got my receipt sent to my email showing my mileage was way more than I predicted it to be so I got charged almost 90$. I don’t understand how you can calculate the mileage when he failed to check the initial mileage before I used it. NOT happy and definitely will not ever rent from uhaul (especially this location) ever again. And I am not someone who ever complains about services.

When I brought the truck back the rep wasn't in attendance. I made sure the gas was where it should be and put the keys in the drop box. Apparently someone screwed up. After 3 weeks I was sent an email asking why I hadn't returned the equipment I rented. I was very upset and went down to the drop off place. I talked to the rep who said it would be corrected by the next day. The truck was no longer parked there, so I asume it had been rented out again. I'm not sure I would trust u haul enough to rent with them again. How do you misplace a 26' truck.

I reserved at one location then it wasn't there. Had to drive 20 minutes across town for another one. At the second office we had to wait a long time because the computer program was not working. They said uhaul keeps changing the program and messing it up. Finally the computer worked and we left. We lost about 2 hours time for all this hassle and running around.
