Very much a disappointment! When at the UHaul hub in Fremont, I was told there was a supply of trailers around and shouldn't have a problem securing one in Sioux City. Upon arriving to Sioux City store (Gordon Drive), I was informed they did not have any trailers; they sent us to UHaul in Dakota City; no one was there (not sure if they were even open?) I drove back to UHaul on Gordon Drive; asked for a truck and they began the paperwork only to find out I would not be returning the truck in SC. From there they sent me to Bluff Creek Golf Cars in SC. A truck had just been returned. The associate said I could take the truck; After looking it over and how dirty it was , I asked if there was another truck. The gentleman said I can take it or leave it (only truck). I completed the paperwork and took the dirty truck. Windshield wipers were not working (passenger side broke). Windows had not been cleaned and inside filthy. I should have arrived to the designation of loading the truck (10:30). After all the running around, I did not arrive to Merrill until 1:00. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience for me.

My truck was supposed to be picked up at 9:00AM but nobody showed up to open the business until 9:30. Inside of cab wasn’t clean.

The guy who rented me the truck tried to say we went over 50 miles on the truck not true ! Said the gas was not filled to were it was charged an extra 6$ for that in the end for a small move it ended up costing me over 200$ never again will I use this place!! Worse place I have ever use to move have done way bigger moves then this one and never was charged what this place charged me I will never go there again !

The guy who checked me in was completely unfriendly and a borderline jerk. I’m not sure what his problem was but I will never deal with him again.

You cgarge for the whole week on a one way trip when i only used it for 2 days then it sat for the other 3. Why do you charge a minimum of 5 days even if your one way trip only takes 2 days?

When I went to pick up dolly, the individual offered me insurance, I asked what it covered, his response was “ I don’t know” And then when I connected it to my truck the individual was no help and I asked about the secure chains for the truck and vehicle I was going to dolly, the individual stated I didn’t need to use them. With to secure the trailer to my truck or secure the vehicle to the trailer, he offered no help as far as tie down for the tires. While in the office this individual was more concerned on having a cigarette than helping me with any questions. I had to contact my local insurance agent to ask about my coverage because this individual had no idea what he was offering, If I was a owned of Abigail this would not be a person I would want to represent my company. On the return of the dolly in Ga The staff at this location was very good and helpful. I have a lot of respect for a location where the employees know what they are doing V.S a location where some one don’t care and is just punching a clock. I am a business owner my self and would terminate a employee like this in Sioux City iowa.

I'm very disappointed with the service I have received from U-Haul. Several things were wrong: The truck was supposed to be ready for pick up at 10am and it wasn't. I had to wait there for over an hour which delayed the rest of the day. Then I also rented a dolly which wasn't there either. The manager guaranteed it would be available at another location and it wasn't, which delayed me even more. Then I had the rental until 8pm and the location was closed when I came back to return the vehicle. Therefore I did not receive a full and complete bill with the charges.
