Rented the 26 foot moving van. Possibly the roughest ride I have ever encountered. "Gentle Ride" on side decal is mistaken, as it was anything but gentle. Bounced the whole trip, definitely a kidney killer. Both rental and drop off locations were friendly and helpful though, especially the drop off location. Other than the van ride itself, I have no complaints.

This location was set up as a pickup only. no agent interaction other than confirming the equipment and acknowledging the truck has been turned in damaged and was being sent out as such. no other 26 foot one-way trucks were available. This truck was dangerous and should not have been rented.
The site was great, but UHaul customer service people suck!
Had several trailers available and assisted with hook up in a timely manner. As soon as I walked in the door was greeted and they started my rental process within moments. Had a great experience at this location.
Area needs security camera's for after hours drop off.

We reserved the equipment well in advance and one of the tail lights did not work. They “fixed†it and it quit mid trip. Also had to pick up equipment at another location than we were promised.
It was frustrating that I had made my reservation for my uhaul months in advance and then a few days before we needed to get my uhaul they changed my pick up location. My original pick up location was less than a mile from my house whereas the location they ended up giving me was over 20 minutes away. Overall I was disappointed in the way corporate dealt with the situation but the pickup location did have nice helpful employees.
All workers at Blue Earth were professional and very kind! Yes, I'd recommend them to others.

My experience with U-Haul overall was terrible. I reserved a truck for my move over 2 weeks in advance My preferences were not taken into consideration when it came to pick up time at all. I wanted to pick up at 7 am and they gave me a location that didn't open until 9 am. Then my truck wasn't guaranteed until 12 pm. When 12 pm came around my truck was never returned and there weren't any other trucks available in my area. So to get a truck I had to drive 50 minutes away from my location. This was an enormous inconvenience as we had intended to be completely moved by early afternoon and couldn't even get a truck until then. This was a horrible experience and made my move significantly more stressful than it needed to be. It doesn't make sense why U-Haul takes reservations when you can't even get the size you need from the location that you want at the time requested.

I have no issue with the Blue Earth pickup location, the owners were wonderful. However, I am unhappy because I was redirected 25 miles from my original pickup location 2 days before the rental. I fail to understand why Uhaul couldn't honor their original commitment to me vs. using the "it's in your contract" line when I called the customer service 800 number. There was plenty of time for Uhaul to get the trailer to the location I originally booked. I give Uhaul a zero for customer service because of how they repeatedly hid behind the contract wording vs. working to resolve their availability problem.
Better communication may have made our experience less expensive.
While the personnel in Blue Earth was helpful and courteous, U-Haul, overall, needs improvement. You may or may not be aware that we had reserved a trailer on June 07, to be picked up in St. James, Minn. on July 02. Would that be almost ONE MONTH before the pick up date? On the morning of July 02 we received a call informing us that the pick up location would be closed from June 29 to July 07,. Thank you U-Haul. You want my honest opinion, your service SUCKS. I will find another mode of transportation next time and I will definitely alert others to your incompetence. Thanks for creating a stressful situation while on our vacation!

When I first arrived they said the person who reserves uhauls had left at noon and I wouldn't be able to rent. Considering my situation (driving from MPLS to rent), they pressed forward and figured out the system..I really appreciate their help!
I had to drive far to get my uhaul. The people there made it worth an hour trip! Thank you for making my moving experience seemless!
We had to wait for over an hour because the only person who could help us went to put flowers on graves at the cemetery. We even had a scheduled pick-up time that was ignored.
Truck was due back by 3:00. Location closed earlier on Sunday, so only key drop available--and it was not well marked.
The straps were broken on the trailer and he didn't even notice and they charged me for a truck that was larger then I got even the people at the local uhaul I returned it to verified it was a 17 foot. The guy at the blue earth uhaul said it looked small but he didn't have a tape measurer.
I had an appointment to pick up my trailer @ noon. I called at 11:45 to tell them I hit construction and would be 5-10 min late. The lady on the phone told me that the only guy who could help me went to lunch but should be back within 45 min. I thought it was weird that someone would take a 45 min lunch over the time when there was an appointment scheduled, but since I was running a little late I said that was fine. I got there around 12:15 and checked in to let them know I was there. I then waited for an additional 45 min. They had to call the guy to tell him to come back from lunch. He didn't show up until 1. It was frustrating for me because I had an appointment. I held up my end of the deal to get there and then had to wait for 45 min.
I had to go 50 miles away for my pick up request location.
We had to drive to this location --It was a change from our original closer location, but we appreciated the contact from UHaul about the change. The staff at this location was excellent and so friendly!!
Never told I only had 44 miles. Not sure why uhaul would not give you the miles to go to your house to load and include those miles. I will not rent from you again.
Very helpful-we arrived the morning after a terrible blizzard. They were very helpful even though only one lady was running the counter and getting many calls for tows, etc. The truck was warmed up and cleaned off and we were ready to leave.
When I returned the vehicle; the station was closed. According to the contract; the vehicle has to be filled up at the drop off location; but couldn't since they were closed. They called me today and got really snotty about me leaving the vehicle there without filling it up. Then they wanted my credit card again; even though they made a copy of it to charge me for the fuel. The vehicle got 7.5 miles per gallon during the entire 58 miles I had it. Simple math says I used 7.73 gallons @ 3.30 per gallon should be about $25.52 for the fuel. They smoked me for another $37.38 for fuel. Divide that by $3.30 per gal = 11.3 gallons x 7.5 mpg and that comes to about 85 miles. Either way; they screwed me out of 30 miles or $11.00 for fuel. And the way the lady "bitched" me out on the phone; she can "uhaul" herself straight to.....Hell Michigan.
I rented the equipment from U-Haul in Mankato, I did not anticipate a TWO HOUR round trip to get my equipment. I had to pay additional gas and have someone drive me down there on their time. Unless I am given some sort of discount, I will not be a U-Haul customer any longer. (This was my 10th move and I will move again...) Please make this right, it was SO frustrating.
You can make sure the vehicle you are renting is mechanically sound so it doesn't break down. Although the staff was helpful the truck was substandard.
