This was the scariest experience. It's at a gas station where i did not feel safe at all to the point I had a panic attack. We were interrupted service to help other customers so they could buy lotto tickets and cigarettes in the middle of our transaction. DO NOT GO HERE.Rhonda M.
The hand truck was broken and dirty,...but the bigger issue was U-Haul calling the day before to tell us that the 26ft truck we had reserved really was not reserved and we would have to drive two hours to get one. Now we have to rent a second truck to make this move work. HORRIBLY DISAPPOINTED with U-Haul. They did NOTHING to help us. They were in CYA mode.Greg M.
Tell them to not go alone under any circumstances and let them know to brush up on how to load up and secure equipment as the convenience store clerks renting U-Haul equipment as a hussle, are of no use. Make sure your equipment is functional and in working order before you rent it. And don't have Frank call and tell me how it's all my responsibility and he's not going to do anything about it because he doesn't have a picture. He set a bad tone at first contact.MARK Y.

You're not asking the right questions. This location was my third attempt to return the trailer. The first two refused, citing insufficient room, so I drove all over Austin. This location refused, until I walked him out to the yard and convinced him we could placed the trailer in an out-of-the-way location. I'm grateful he finally agreed, but I was initially turned away to a forth location.Russell M.

It was the only place in Austin opened when we needed to drop it off. It was in a very sketchy neighborhood. The uhaul was in a convenience store that had numerous homeless people inside and outside the store begging for money. As a woman I was very scared. Maybe during UT move in and out weekends UHaul stores need to stay open later.Jim H.
The equipment seemed well maintained (I drove it 700+ miles with no problems), but the interior cab had trash in it, including garbage in the door pockets, dog (or maybe cat) food strewn about, and a dirty animal feeding bowl. Otherwise, the vehicle was fine.COBY C.

A U-HAUL rental in a gas station convenience store is not an ideal experience for customers of either the U-HAUL service or the convenience store. When I arrived, the only staff person was having internet issues and was unable to process my reservation using the computer. He and I both attempt to provide payment using the U-HAUL website (he on the official vendor site, me on the customer website), but ultimately the staff person decided to provide me with the trailer and call me later to collect payment when the internet was working again. The staff person then closed the convenience store to help get me hooked up to the trailer. The taillights were not working correctly on either of the 2 available trailers, so we ultimately just decided to use the one that had more lights working (brake & left turn signal, with right turn signal not triggering) so that we could get me going. The rental itself was fine, but upon returning the trailer to the store, the (different) staff person asked for a picture of the trailer, which I had difficulty interpreting. He ultimately followed me outside and took the picture himself, and then told me that I needed to unhook the trailer. Because I didn't hook the trailer up in the first place, I wasn't comfortable unhooking it, and after arguing with me about it for several minutes, the staff person final unhooked the trailer. Overall, it was a frustrating experience for a trailer that wasn't fully functioning. I've always had a good experience with U-HAUL, but I would encourage you to reevaluate this location.Shelly J.
Stop spamming your customers with requests to move other items. Check the equipment before renting it out. My windshield wiper broke 10min into a heavy rainstorm and put my safety in jeopardy. Further, Uhaul changed my reservation at the last second to this location so I was unable to purchase the items that I needed (mattress cover, lock). I had to pay more money to ride share to a new location to get what I needed. Uhaul clearly puts its own interests over that of its customers.Michael P.

Staff was clueless on rental. Even with paying everything online and checking in ahead of time, still took 45 minutes to obtain trailer. Return was even worse. Took over one hour to return unit. Several people in the store were not wearing masks, even though there was a sign outside saying masks were required. The mobile app did not work and the store did not have a wifi, so it was impossible to rectify. It required entering the store with the maskless customers.DANIEL R.

For an after-hours drop off, it seemed to be an extremely unsafe part of town. Would have driven further for a safer location. While the online instructions were quite clear, the lack of Uhaul knowledge at the location was alarming. May never use Uhaul again because of this drop off.TYLER JORDAN D.

It took me a minute to understand that the Uhaul â€œofficeâ€ was Inside the convenience store. Once I went inside, I did not see a Uhaul counter or any clear signage. In the end, the clerk was very helpful.HAROLD R.
1) The truck was UNSAFE! Putting the vehicle in reverse requires several attempts (It was still drivable, and I didn't have time to report this at the p/u location; but I reported it at the d/o location.) 2) The truck was NOT clean; so I'm not sure how it could have been sanitized. There was visible filth/debris (e.g., sesame seed shells throughout, etc.) as well as latent filth (e.g., everywhere I wiped (with my own disinfectant wipes was soiled). The pickup was changed from a location I was comfortable with to one in a seedy neighborhood, and I did not receive a call the night before. Moreover, the check-in was complicated because although I completed all the information online, the clerk was still asking for additional information â€" VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for me!Cheryl P.

This truck switch if fully inside the ignition switch the twisting to run the engine on does not work, one has to pull it a bit out to get it working . A note must be placed inside to inform the driver.Mohamad K.
I used the truck for 4 hours. When return the key they would not give me a receipt. I had to go get my dad for them to give me a receipt... this took 30mins of them just sitting in the truck looking at gas meter. We finally get inside take them another 30mins to get me a receipt. I was over charged for after hours fee when the truck was used and returned during business hours then was charged for insurance when I said no insurance . When asked about The charges no explanation given oh I pressed the wrong button and was told I would be refunded. Still haven't been refunded. Will not recommend this location to anyonegail H.

This is the second time on a month we have used this location. Unlike a nearby location, they honor a paid reservation and seem to care about your business. The UT location left us in the lurch with a paid reservation, a lot full of trailers, telling us they were reserved and our reserved trailer was not returned? The person who connected the trailer didn't know how and, when I'm driving Down the road the trailer came off. Most scary experience. No damages occurred but it should be safety check that they should perform, for the safety of your customers.Deborah J.

They did not have the parts to hook trailer up to car lights which means they are sending customers out to drive illegally. They also didn't have the packing boxes that showed as an option to purchase online. We had to go to a different location to get what we needed. Would never go back here, ever.Ally J.
the drop off location refused to accept the truck - saying it is needed at a different location and I have to take it there. it was about 7 miles away. when i got there, they told me i was over the mileage limit and made me pay for the 5 miles extra. so, i had to deliver the truck where its needed which put me over the mileage limit, then I had to pay for the mileage. what a scam!Sammy H.

Location was just average and the Blue Diamond Mart was more like a gas station/ food mart. The rental truck was clean (ish), but smelled of smoke and was obviously not wiped out after to the last use. The manager prompted us to just go around back of the store and pull the truck up front while he brought out the pads/dollys. Although this was normal, the truck was parked so close to the store there was no way to tell if I was going to hit the store, so guidance would have been nice since it was parked in a tricky spot. It was an okay experience, but I prefer not to see people licking cocaine off their fingers in front of the place I am picking up my rental truck.Siaosi F.

There's absolutely no signage as to where anything is! I only knew where to park or that I was even at the right place since other trucks were behind this gas station. There was no way to know where to take key to, no drop box, nothing! I walked into the store, asked the clerk about returning the key, he just nodded his head, went to the back to tell someone, they answered, but then he motioned for me to give him the keys, which I was skeptical of since there was not any clear verbal or written communication. The online drop off was helpful, though It was never communicated to me to return uhaul with same amount of gas, not even in their youtube video, resulting in an extra stop.emily R.

The guy was rude and told me that uhaul was a side business, he told me if you are on rush you can go to another place. After all of this inconvenient they charged me 20 dollars for moving pads that I never used and he never gave me. I went to the store and told him about charging for something he did not give and he just text some guy and told they will give my money back in 3 days. I called uhaul to complain about it .because I did not believe that guy anymore.Leonardo G.

Not a full service uhaul business but a sketchy convenience store in a bad part of town and exactly not where I had requested pickup. I was surprised it was not a uhaul store, which I needed so I could buy needed moving supplies. Nor was the site the closest uhaul shop or even one of the more convenient sites that I requested. I flew from out of state to move with two other adults and cancelled a cheaper Penske reservation because uhaul supposedly had a truck with â€œ3 seats comfortable for 3 adultsâ€ but it was not as described - 2 adults at best with a small middle seat for a child but without cross-body seat belt. No cruise control for cross country travel. No receipt, had to fill out my emergency info on a blank piece of paper with anpink (!) ball point pen at the pick up location! The real issues were poor customer service on the reservation end. I have used uhaul on several past occasions, I am very disappointed with the new poor level of customer service and inability to answer basic questions about the rental truck, coordinate rental even with advance notice or give me specs and answer questions. and provide paperwork and documentation upon request.Mary B.
