I was called less than 24 hours prior to picking up my truck that it would only be available 11 miles away from our location. That would have meant an additional 22 miles of driving on an already stressful day. I ended up changing to a much larger truck to avoid this. I was scheduled to take trailer back to a different place. (In chester vt) got there it was closed. No one let me know not to go there. And give me a different location. Found out i could have drop off to a place two miles from where i was. Instead i had to drive 50 miles out of my way. Received no refund for bringing it back earlier then scheduled and for my inconvenience. Was not happy with not be informed of the drop off place beng closed and having to go out of my way.Kellen L.

The fuel should be FULL when renting out these trucks. There is nothing worse than having to make multiple trips to gas up and estimate how much is needed to return the thing at 1/4 tank.Brian J.

I was unable to go to the uhaul website since there is poor internet service in that area of Springfield. When I was able to get internet service, the website would not let me register the drop-off because I was now not at an authorized location. I tried several times to call the 800 number and got a message that wait time was 10-15 minutes.craig O.

Attached to a gas station but turn off the pumps at night when uhaul has a policy charging 30 plus 5 a gallon what a scam.Jeffrey L.
The bastard charged me to replace the packing blankets and is claiming that they cannot refund my money, that I have to go back to the original rental facility. They refunded the $5 rental charge, but can do nothing about the other charge because they didn't issue it. Basically I'm pissed because the little prick at your Springfield VT location is unwilling to do the job.George W.
The problem with the site was apparently not the owner's fault. He reported to me that the U-Haul online systems always fail repeatedly on most busy days like Saturday. It took over an hour for him to register me in the system, it periodically kicked him off and he had to start all over again asking three times for my ID and credit card information.Reed G.
The rental was fine and successful. However, the 15 ft truck seemed to shift poorly. It stayed in each gear for much longer than normal. Once on the highway,the truck ran ok.George B.

Even though I received a confirmation the day before, when I went to pick up the rental, the U-haul app indicated that there was no active contract in my U-Haul account. I then had to wait for the local manager to come and rectify the situation. Not only did this delay my departure for over an hour, the interaction put me in close contact with people, a concern, in light of Covid, I had hoped to avoid by using the app. The next day, I was interrupted and spent more time taking a call from a U-Haul rep asking if I would be willing to return the vehicle to a different drop off point. As an incentive, she offered to compensate me for the additional mileage. The change in drop off location would add an hour to my day and to a second driver who I arranged to pick me up, plus additional fuel for both vehicles and the reward U-Haul offered was not to charge me the extra miles. Are you kidding me? When I attempted to return the rental, a similar instance to the one when I picked up the vehicle, occurred. Although there was a U-Haul rep at the return location, she told me that I should use the app and closed and locked the door. Again, the app indicated that there was no active contract in my U-Haul account. After repeated attempts to contact the that local rep, she indicated the her computer kept crashing whenever she tried to access my account and gave me an local U-Haul number to call. I called and a message said that they were very busy and someone would call back in an hour. That was over twenty hours ago and still no one ever contacted me. We then tried your 800 #, and was able to resolve, although we thought, the return. The agent promised that everything was now taken care of and that there was nothing else that I was required to do. Again, we were delayed well over an hour, made to interact with people we were trying to avoid and adding to an already stressful day. This morning I then received an email from U-Haul, charging us for an additional day in spite of the fact that I returned the vehicle over twelve hours before it was due, verifiable with two U-Haul agents. It is infuriating that I now must again spend additional time to refute this additional charge.Duane P.

I rented a trailer to pick up a tractor. There were concerns that the tractor wouldn't fit, but we measured and it should have fit so I took the trailer. Upon arrival at the dealership we realized with the ramps etc it wouldn't fit. I then took the trailer directly back to u-haul. I feel since I returned it so swiftly and never even used it due to the circumstances, a credit of some sort should have been issued.Rex S.

The tow dolly was not at the location I had to drive out of my way to get the tow dolly at another location. If you could have all the equipment in one place for pick up this would save the customer time.The lights on the tow dolly did not work so I drove there and wasted time. Jeff the district manager was called and he delivered another tow dolly to the house for us, he went above and beyond with this service.Michael G.
