The rep was very helpful and assisted me in loading my vehicle. There was a connector for the lighting that needed a short cable to connect to the Uhaul truck that was not provided, so the trailer did not have lighting. I did not find this out until I returned home so I was a little concerned that this might cause problems, but the move went well.William M.
I placed an order to pick up a trailer at 10:00 am that was the time they supposed open but the guy showed it 45 minutes late and there was more people waiting. I rented the trailer for four hours and when I come back! Again, nobody was there. Really bad service.Sergio R.
I showed up for a scheduled pick up for a truck at 10am and no one was there. A person that works next door said the guy that runs it was there 5 minutes prior but left. Other people showed up, also with 10:am appointments. Called and texted the cell number on the building with no answer. finally got a text at 10:25 that he would be there in five minutes. When he finally arrived I asked why he wasn't there at 10:am, he said he had to go to store. Nice way to run a business. Total disregard for other people's time. He cost me money with my movers. The location/facilities are quite run down, but the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful and polite. No issues with anything at pick-up. However, the contract we received via email was not accurate and not for the vehicle we picked up. Didn't impact us, really, and all was sorted out at drop-off.Darryle G.

The only thing I would say is the 24/7 check in/out is a little confusing. Also dont even bother calling the uhaul number, I was on hold for over 10 mins, I just hung up and had to figure it out myself. But the shop "bingo auto sales" was great.Ronald H.

The drop off was as easy as could be. The man was outside, quickly entered in the truck information he needed and that was it.Mathew M.
They made me unhook the trailer myself in a back alley behind some building across the drop location. The employees there weren't helpful at all and seemed to not want to help me. The parking lot was full of cars that were being washed and the parking was impossible to get in because there's only one way in and out and it was blocked but a bunch of other cars. There was no one in the office and I had to go find someone to assist me.CHRISTOPHER J.
The location is awful to get out of or drive around with the trailer if you are not comfortable backing up. It is very very tight- I couldn't even turn my Rav4 around using a simple y turn (only one lane) because there's no room to back up. The operator is very nice didn't leave me waiting for help-he was right there. The lot is awful.Kimberley M.

According to the website, they opened at 0900. I went at 1030 to drop the trailer off. No one was around and I left it to ensure it was dropped off within my 48 hours. I tried calling the number, no answer. So I had to drive back around noon to make sure they registered It as being dropped off. They had not. And in fact he had to make adjustments so I didn't pay the late fee.Amy Y.

Waited over an hour and a half for the dolley I was told I would have at 10. Should have just called a tow truck. Never choosing this service again and recommending others not to go through this.Brandon F.
Unfortunately we had a reservation at 10am and when my husband got there the person working there claimed that â€œI have nothing to do with uhaulâ€ and refused to help my husband. He continued to explain that the owner wasn't going to be there for another hour or two to help us get our trailer. Understandably my husband got upset ..I called and spoke to him and asked him to call the owner to let him know we had a reservation ..he said he did and he would be there in a few minutes...he was and it worked out in the end but the staff he has working the car dealership play dumb and don't have appropriate knowledge of the uhaul side and don't have any customer service skills to know what to do and say to not piss off the customers PS ...I said no to the insurance online but looking at my bill now they decided to charge me for insurance anyway apparently. Most uhauls are horrible in some way or another so ...what am I going to do!Michael G.

The pick up and drop off places where very helpful it's the customer service and traffic areas of your company that suck beyond all means I would never rent from uhaul again just for that reasonKelly S.
After I arrived at the pick-up location, I was told that I needed to go buy an adapter at an auto-parts store. When I got there, I didn't know which adapter of the many available to get. The person working there didn't know either and had to call the pick-up location. This was not a huge ordeal in light of worldly events, but an inconvenience and stress that could easily be avoided if the adapter had been available for purchase at the pick-up location.Karin K.

They didn't have either the trailer or truck available at the time you guys said it was to be picked up. Major fuck up in the scheduling. I had to go to a different location and wait several hours late. And I still had to pay for that time. Rip off. Bingo was apologetic. U-Haul on line is a fucking mess.Curtis J.

Your personel (Escondido location) made the mistake of using our home phone # while it had been explained in detail that I was away, needed to use my cell phone #, even having him call me on it to confirm it was the correct #- later the reimbursement dept. rudely insisted that the home phone was correct and they had called us on it so we did not qualify for the reimbursement- useless as we were towing stuff home so were not there, all carefully explained when we made the reservation! This was clearly a mistake on your personel's (Escondido not the Oceanside place) part not ours!Debra Y.

U haul decided to over charge me three days when I took the u haul back three days early. And of course there is no credit for returning early. It shocked me when I got a charge for three days late, so I had to call them and argue with the lady at the 1800 number. She finally said I would get a credit in 3 or 4 weeks. You can take the money quickly but can't return it back to the customer very quickly. So everyone watch your charges. It does not pay to return early.Debra H.
It's a used car lot with little to no room for any of the uhaul equipment or even a guest drop off area. The manager made me back up down a hill with the trailer still attached because there was no space for a vehicle he was driving himself to exit as I entered. Never want to go there again.Cesar H.

We were told by Angel at pick up to have our truck back before 7:00 pm when the drop off location closed. As we were approximately 15 minutes away we call the Santa Maria drop off location and the gentleman that answered the phone said he closed at 6:30 pm and we could not return the truck and that by returning the next day we would incur additional charges. This gentleman also said that he did not want to receive another truck because he had too many and that I should call 1-800-GO-UHAUL and drop it off somewhere else. I told him this wasn't an option and that I was informed we had to return by 7pm. So, he ended up saying that I could park the truck on the street at my own risk and place the truck keys in the drop box; then he would call me the next day and let me know if there were any issues with the truck, and that the card I used would be charged if anything was damaged or was under fueled. Additionally, the process of reserving this truck online was seamless and quick. However, not long after I placed my online order my original pick up location in Santa Barbara called me to inform me that I could not take his truck because he didn't want the truck going one way. He also did not assist in securing another truck. This left me in a bind, having to call around to other locations, the 800 number and customer service. After almost 2 hours on the phone I was finally able to secure another truck, approximately 20 minutes away from my original location. This entire process, poor customer service and additional stress has left a poor impression on me and it is highly unlikely that I will use Uhaul again unless this situation is rectified.Julie V.

I was charged for 2 extra days even though I returned ALL equipment clean and ON TIME. I started getting calls about missing equipment 2 days after the return so I knew something wasnt right. Low and behold they charged me $170 after the fact and when I called customer service they kept saying they couldnt find the tow dolly. It shouldnt have been my problem after I returned it, they lost it NOT me. 1/10 - I wouldnt reccomendmartina M.
