No one was there to help us. We had to be checked out over the phone after waiting for 20 minutes and knocking at the door.

Les H.Rick at this location quoted me .99 per mile + 5.00 environmental fee. I got billed 1.39 per mile - 40% higher. Now I hear weekend bullshit! He was told several times pick up 5 Friday night and return Saturday for 1 day rental at 19.99 + .99 per mile + 5.00 environmental fee. He never mentioned the $1.39 per mile on weekend so beware of this outright rip off. I did not agree to pay 1.39 per mile. .99 per mile was agreed but he pulled a fast one billing it out! This location is really not a normal uhaul place. No office, doing business in the parking lot from a tow truck and cell phone. Customer stands in parking lot out in the cold while Rick fills in the form twice! Terrible Uhaul place! I won't be using this place again nor recommend anyone use it and dispute the additional charge that is NOT correct!

DAVID G.No one there to receive me. The vehicle was not ready with the equipment requested. The van was almost out of gas. No one was there upon its return. I received a late or non return email basically saying I had not returned the van. That is basically what I was told when I called. Then I was told they had been trying to contact me, lies, my cell phone wirks fine. I have used u-haul several times in the past years and twice in two months. The entire experience was poor, no aweful. Not even a card reader to use to pay. If you guys expect to keep clients, best not have them have contact with BIG TIME TOWING or those responsible for the erroneous email stating I did not return it or the person I dealt with on the phone. Would I use UHaul again, yes but not that location.

Amaury A.The U-Haul sign was not clearly visible and I had to call the owner of the company to find out where to leave the truck, the keys, etc. Signage should be more visible and directions for parking should be available PRIOR to choosing this location as a drop off.

JOHN M.No one around when I arrived on time. Very rude person on the phone when I called. I called customer service to get a new location but was advised to wait. When proprietor arrived 20 mins after pickup time in his truck, he confronted me, saying, "I go out for a cup of coffee and you call customer service on me?" He denied that anyone had been rude with me on the phone. He apologized for being late only after I stated that I was not interested in arguing and would go elsewhere. Then he could not locate my reservation. He did not have the dolly for which I paid $7.00. There was no parking for my car. Finally, the tire pressure light was on in the van. It took 50 mins from my appt until I was in the van. I was promised a refund on the dolly that is not reflected in my contract received this morning. I was also promised a discount on my mileage, also not reflected.

I finally found someone inside willing to help me park it across the street and took the keys, but 4 days later I received a call from U-hall that the truck was never returned. It took a few calls but they finally found the vehicle.
JASON C.My reservation was originally made for your west babylon(10min away) store. Pick-up morning, I got a text informing me that the pick-up location was changed to rockville center(45 min away). Totally unacceptable! After spendind a good 1/2 hour on the phone with the rockville center store, THEY were able to hook me up with Bigtime towing & recovery(15 min away). If this is how U-haul does business with reservations, I think I'll look into Ryder next time.

ABAY Q.When I got to this location, no one was there, with a sign on the door directing to call a number. The man instructed me to drop the key in the box. Seemed very unprofessional and worried me. I wrote down my own mileage and left it there on good faith. Needless to say, this was not what I expected at all. There was another customer there that was refused a receipt from his UHaul transaction and had called the cops. The owner of the shop had fled in the meantime, apparently. Is this what all of your shops are like?
