Things were not explained to me at all. The checkout experience was fine, but the check in experience has been a nightmare. The app wouldnt work at all and i kept getting bounced around when i tried to call customer service. Then, when I did get in touch with customer service, I was told that no additional charges would be put on my account. So I had a truck for 8 hours and drove a total of 25 miles and I was charged $400!! This is outrageous! I tried to call the place where I got the truck and the guy was a complete douche bag. No help, and basically told me to get bent. This has been a VERY unpleasant experience. I will NOT be using UHaul ever again.James Q.

We had a minor issue with the left tail light not working during our use. The organization knew about the issue prior to us leaving with the unit. Also I was charged a $20 fee for bring the unit back after hours, yet I did bring the unit back 12 hours early.DOUGLAS G.

I could not reserve this truck for two days on line. When calling the customer service line I was told no problem, it will be changed now for a 4 day rental and you can return early. When dropping off I was informed it was never changed. Roni provided excellent customer service and made it right. Thank you Roni ðŸ˜Carillon K.

We arrived after closing. The lot was deserted and not secured. We had trouble with the website trying to drop the trailer off. The location was a little sketchy. Likely not the fault of the business, but it didn't appear safe.CHARLES S.

Big T's Auto Detailing gives a BAD name to U-Haul. You need to let this location go in the best interest of your company. It took an hour to get the U-Haul truck checked out. Big T's Auto does not have cellular service of good enough quality to support your 24 hour rental online process. I was unable to upload an accurate odometer photo or photos of how badly the truck was beaten up before I checked it out. It took an hour and the system finally gave up and just said the truck was rented. I had it for less than an hour and returned it after 8 miles. My receipt shows I was charged double the rental rate of $19.95, I drove it 8 miles but was charged for 12 and a higher level of coverage was applied than what I signed up for. I alerted 24 hour that there were issues with the billing and still I was charged higher amounts. I tried talking to the young man that was at Big T's when I checked it out and he said if I talked to him then I'd be charge because it was a 24 hour. I was there for an hour trying to get the check out process to work and he still refused to help. When I brought it back it took 30 minutes to check it back in due to the poor quality of cellular service at their location. This is a HUGE concern and massively deteriorates U-Haul's ability to provide service and certainly makes it impossible to provide quality service. I called Big T's this morning when I saw I was being billed about double the correct amount. The man that I talked with made misogynistic slurs to me, was incredibly rude as he does not want to be a U-Haul supplier (saying it's his son's gig not his) and he hung up on me repeatedly when I was just trying to get information. I highly highly recommend that U-Haul stop using Big T's as a U-Haul location. The man running it is very likely to get U-Haul into a legal issue with his extremely misogynistic and rude behavior and your level of service is below poor at this location.Ann N.
Absolute scam of a service. If you attempt to use the after hours rental service, you will be delayed several hours. If you are not a local of the town you are renting from, you will need a picture of a passport or rental agreement. Additionally, any extras ordered like dollies, furniture pads, etc, will not actually be provided. If you request them, you will be charged, but Uhaul will not actually provide them. They then ignore your complaints when you want a refund for the equipment that they didnt provide.Charles H.
The online scheduling is a train wreck. Booked my rental for a near by location but the rental was redirected to a very inconvenient one for which I wasn't informed of until the booking was complete. And THAT was after weeding through pages of unwanted upsales. Not impressed. The customer service at the location was exceptional.Kerry W.
Firstly, the fact that I had to drive 150 miles to pick up a Uhaul truck that I'd requested months in advance at a location 10 minutes from my former place is completely unacceptable. I ended up spending 6 hours driving to and from this location on the other side of the state, in a rental car that I had to rent last minute. This cost me time I needed to spend packing + $250 in unexpected expenses. I was only given $50 off my rental, was then inexplicably charged an extra $10 on the insurance so it was really only $40 in savings from the original amount, meaning I lost $210 because of Uhaul's disorganization and incompetence. I get that things are tough right now with lots of moves due to COVID, but from a customer service perspective, Uhaul should rethink their logistical operations to ensure that no one has to drive more than 25 miles from their requested location - or at least communicate that reservations are not set in stone. About this location itself - the staff I spoke with were all kind and helpful, I feel for them because of how much flack they probably get on a near constant basis due to Uhaul corporate's lack of organization. The truck I picked up wasn't in the best shape - it had been siphoned of gas so there was only a quarter tank and it reeked of cigarettes. Again, not the staff's fault, just not the best experience due to a number of factors.Amanda M.
They over charged being they put my drop off in Canada not the US.... Then first customer service rep gave two drop off locations the first which was the closest is no longer a U-Haul so went to the second place almost half way back from where I picked up while waiting another rep to pick up almost an hour on hold to be told I can't drop off so I was transferred to another rep to that was supposed to be a manager that was no help except for give me a number of a manager to give a refund so to make a long story short my weekend was shot playing a U-Haul transfer guy beings I had to bring the trailer all the way back to the place I rented and was charged local rate which I guess would be great except I lost a whole day and fuel cost far exceeded any convince of renting the trailer to begin with.....SEAN Y.

I asked specifically on how to return the trailer after hours, nothing was said about filling out paperwork or checking in. The young man said all I had to do was park the trailer in a specific spot which I did. I was charged $20 for not filling out paperwork &/or following procedures which were never explained to me. Yes it may have been explained in the lengthy contract emailed to me, my bad for not reading everything. I assumed the young man checking me in went over it but I was wrong.STEVEN K.

I have never rented a Uhaul before, so had lots of questions, and they were patient and thoroughly described the process, from picking it up to dropping it off. If you don't provide a box to click saying "I understand that this trailer not be may not be available at this location," then you should make sure you darn well have a trailer at the pickup location! Even with my calling to confirm several times prior to pick up, in the end my trailer was not available. I am very disappointed. On a positive note, We discovered just how important those brakes are on a 6x12 trailer. Three deer were standing in my lane while I was going about 55 mph. I did not swerve, but slammed on the brakes and my sequoia and The 6x12 trailer screeched to a halt. We stopped 3 ft from the deer and all was well. Good job on the safety aspect, U-Haul!Kristin U.

The code to scan when we returned the truck did not work so we were charged $20 by u-haul. When I called the place we rented from they told me to take it up with U haul. I have been that route before when I was overcharged from a u haul place previously and U haul never responded to my correspondence.Louis S.

The reservation experience really lacked. The original reservation was made for pickup in Moscow, ID but was called less than 24 hours before the pickup time and informed that the equipment wasn't available. The alternate locations offered were hundreds of miles and several hours out of the way. Other than that everything was good.JOHN S.

The business owner required me to disconnect the trailer and park it myself. I didn't. The Everett pick up site told me I would get a refund for the lock and electrical insert for the trailer.. not true. It was not a pleasant experience. I won't go there again.LYNN E.
