My reservation was made for another location but 48 hours before I picked up the truck I was told my truck wasn't available. So I had to, at the last minute arrange transportation to pick up at this location approx. 2 1/2 hour round trip, plus the time at the desk checking out the vehicle But then I still had to pick up my vehicle tow dolly from my original reservation location.

The location was just fine and the gentleman’s customer service was outstanding. However, UHual is a bunch of idiots who don’t care about their customers. I reserved a trailer for pickup a week ahead of time only to receive a call the day before saying the closest one was 2 hours away as opposed to 5 minutes like I had reserved. They then tried to charge me more for a smaller trailer 30 minutes away and were unwilling to make any accommodations. The gentleman was able to get me the smaller sized trailer for a lower rate and did his absolute best to find me a larger one.

I had to hook up the auto transport myself. They didnt even check if the lights worked or if I hooked it up correctly. Waited 30 min for the person to come back from the bank. The sign on the door said be back at 11 and did not come back until 1130

The atmosphere in this location is the best I have ever experienced. To be fair, most of my U-Haul rentals have been from larger cities. However, it is not often you can walk into a facility which is furnished with a sofa, floor coverings and a large, friendly dog to greet you. You made my need of short-term large vehicles simple and easy. Keep doing you. You rock, Ms. B!

George went out of his way to be accomodating and even standing up for my rights as a customer. I was over charged due to under estimating the milage of a one-way 26' truck rental. I was told to take it to another drop off since it was after hours for Clearlake Oaks but I could not find the Lower Lake drop off and had to return to Clearlake Oaks. I was not happy with the way the Yuba City UHaul Center would not accept the fact that they failed to calculate the mileage accurately. George made several phone calls and finally excepted that the last $20 was going to have to be paid, event though it was not my fault for the under estimated mileage. Kudos to George's customer service!!!!

This storage facility was full of rats !!! I'd rented two storage sheds, for the ten months between selling my home and finding an apartment. Everything in both sheds was full of rat droppings & urine and rat fur. They'd chewed on furniture and ruined it, along with urinating on my good recliner couches. When I complained to the manager, as I was leaving, she admitted they knew about the rat infestation and said, " An exterminator is coming next week. " Oh, goodie. It must've been so damp in those sheds, over the winter, that everything I had stored that could rust, did rust. I needed a Uhaul driver/mover to take my belongings to Napa. Management recommended two drivers. One wanted $1,000 for him & his girlfriend to move my things 60 miles. I hired their other recommendation, Jeremy, from Ukiah. He broke and damaged several pieces of furniture. I'd never recommend him, either. All in all, it was a very costly and unhappy experience. Nobody offered to pay a red cent for the damage they caused.

Easily the best service and friendliest people I have had the pleasure of doing business with. That says a lot since I frequently rent and have had nothing but praise thus far. These kind folks stand out as the top of a very satisfactory list of other Uhaul providers. Thank you and thank them. they are your best advertisement.

The trailer and the service was fine in Clearlake Oaks, but everything else was a disaster. The U-boxes that were ordered were redirected, then not delivered on time, and then they tried showing me boxes that were falling apart. On top of that, the staff in Santa Rosa were not helpful and tried pushing me out the door. It was only when I insisted to speak with the manager, did I get some service. I wouldn't recommend the U-Boxes as my service was horrible that I had to cancel the entire order.

I had a really poor experience reserving a u-haul. The facility that I finally got it from was excellent and the trailer was also very good quality. However, I reserved a trailer at the beginning of the week and was told the most I would have to drive to pick up my reserved trailer would be an hour. This was not the case, I had to drive two hours out of town to pick up the trailer and then drop it off in the same location (2 4-hr round trips). This was extremely costly and a huge inconvenience (time-wise). I’m really disappointed that even if you make a reservation, u-haul is still able to send you that far away. This is a policy they should change, or at least be able to let you know in advance how far away the potential rental will be.

I rented a 10 cube van in Clear Lake Oaks, CA., for 19.95+ milage. I asked to drop it off in Lakeport since that's where we were unloading. The Laqkeport location was closed for two weeks so we were routed to the Kelseyville, CA., location for drop off. Not only was this farther away than the Clear Lake Oaks location, my 19.95 truck cost me over $100! I did the same rental out of Nice, CA. a couple of days later and was charged the proper rate. What's up with this?

26' truck is bare bones Ford. New truck with no cruise control, electric windows, locks, or mirrors, trip miles display, nor backup camera. Not pleasant for long haul.

The Uhaul center in Phoenix said the Big Oak Center would be open to 5 pm but they actually closed on 4pm on Saturday. I called and they agreed to stay open late even though I was going to get there after 5 PM. It was an hour and a half driving time not a half hour as indicated by the Phoenix office. Big Oak Center stayed open until I got there at 5:15 pm. The lady that served me should be employee of the year because she greeted me with a smile and got me on my way fast even though she had to work over an hour late on a Saturday evening. I had problems with the drop off address. Most people who rent U-Haul are moving to an new area and are unfamiliar, as with myself. I relied on GPS to get me to the location listed. It's very hard to find. GPS took me to the exact address listed but the office is up the hill behind other buildings and is not clearly visible. I tried calling the office several times but no one was in the office. It took over an hour for me to get someone on the phone.
