Carolyn DThe owner, Joe (I believe his name to be) was impressive! He notices me sitting in my car struggling to check-in with the app, so he came out to let me know he could help me much faster. I thanked him and said I was almost done. Ten minutes later, I was having him check me in. I have used U-Haul too many times to count over the last 35 years and his was my first time using a franchise location vs corporate. The franchise location was ten times better to deal with. It had a relaxed neighborhood business feeling. There were no "canned" corporate answers to questions. While loading the truck I realized I would need a dolly to move the washing machine. I called Joe and asked if I could send someone over to get the $7 rental dolly. He said I could borrow it for free. On top of that, he let me use the large dolly with straps. I am so thankful he did that because the small dolly would not have worked and I would have needed to exchange it. After the truck was loaded and I started making the one-hour drive to the new location I realized I would miss my 24-hour rental limit by at least an hour. I called Joe to ask what I should do; can I pay for an hour or do I need to pay for another 24-hour rental? He was busy and said he would call me right back. Before he hung up, I made sure to tell him I was not looking to get anything free, he had already done enough for me. As promised, he called me right back and said he extended it another 24 hours! It was New Years Eve and he said he did not want me to stress getting it unloaded and ordered me to enjoy my holiday. What a wonderful experience renting from Joe! I noticed “Mark W.” gave one star for being charged insurance that he never asked for. This Cat even said he would file fraud charges if not refunded! You know he noticed the mistake beforehand but waited until after the move to complain. If he had gotten into an accident, I would bet everything, he would not have complained or ask for his money back! You would think Mark W. would at least wait and see if he got his money back before leaving one star after getting free insurance. “Lee H.” is not much better! Gave one star because he had to drive a few extra miles to drop off the truck because he went to the storage yard first. Even if the paperwork had the wrong address, which I highly doubt since you are the only moron to make this error, you gave one star for a few extra miles? You are tough to please, I feel sorry for your current or future husband.
Mark MThe operator needs to ask costumer what card are they using to pay with instead of assuming that they are using the card that was used to make reservation. He charged my card and didn't ask me of that was the correct card. I was also quoted 140 compared to the 120 that was in the contract. The operator also processed the contract without me reading over it first
Ronnie TThe trailer had a gas smell to it from last person. Not sure what you can do about that, but also if it was to bad I am sure I could have given it a wipe down to get rid of it.

Michael MWhen I arrived at the drop off I found it to be a storage yard with a closed building. Calling the phone number on my contract sheet I was instructed to drop off at another location a few miles away.

Naomi TTake time to help the customer better. Wipe the interior seats and steering wheel down between customers. The seat and door was very sticky. Payment method needs work. My credit card was charged 100 and my whole bill was less. I Was told that is the way they do it and they would refund the difference back. Never received my money back. Very unhappy

Otherwise, the truck performed well and I felt safe and confident that I would be able to use it without issue. The online check-in was easy and efficient as I had to spend very little time at the rental location checking in and on return. Overall a very good experience.
