The mileage on my bill was incorrect. I drove from Bergenfield to fairlawn and back. Trip is at most 15-20 miles. I was charged for 45 miles. This cannot be correct and it's a clear error that I should not pay for.MICHAEL A.

Make sure supplies are replenished at rental locations. When I booked the rental, a hand truck/dolly and blankets were supposed to be included. My rental did not have either supply and the rental location did not have them. either.Fredy R.

I would highly recommend. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. And open Sundays! Only issue is the fuel charge...I put in $20 before returning (more than I used) but was charged $ for gas? That part wasn't clearly explained.Joseph G.

Representative was just short of rude...was not courteous or helpful in his explanation of what insurance was offered ....did not want to do a pre and post trip inspection of vehicle and not give me a total of rental charges...His explanation was he was busy . I think he was just been lazy and disrespectful.. Not sure I'd rent from this location again been a lifelong BERGENFIELD resident .Oswald B.

Dirty, unsafe van. Wiper fluid disconnected & empty. Prior renter clearly moved equipment with gas, van reeked of gas. Still have a headache the next day from the fumes. Spoke with Dennis, he didn't really seem to think there was any issue.Joseph R.

The location didn't had the truck clean. It was done at the time of pick up, and that's not actually cleaning it thoroughly. Also they committed errors at the management level. Once a contract is written, it doesn't give the company the right to change it or alter it, with out notifying to the renter first. As per my opinion, is was an illegal act, that the mileage was increased after a contract was written and signed for, without any notification or previous advise, or for that matter explained about the processes of how U-Haul actually gets over with the over charges. Management fail to explain the increase of charges per mile if you go over the mileage they estimated you will use. Obliviously this is a way of acquiring additional fees without disclosing it to the client and allowing the renter to determine if he or she is willing to take this type of risk. Which by all means improper!!David F.

Improve the services provided by the u haul app. It lacks the ability to inform customers specifically what is wrong or missing in order for your rental process to move forward. Also the requirement of a 2nd person's phone number in order to approve a rental agreement is concerning. The 2nd person has nothing to do with a customers rental agreement but is placed in the position of providing a type of co signature to the process. It sincerely dose not make senseRICCARDO J.

Staff was all friendly and helpful. I returned the van a little less than a day early and they lowered my bill. Really decent folks at this location. If you book online, don't order the felt blankets. They will not have them in stock. I don't know why Uhaul offers them as an option online, because so far no Uhaul in NJ stocks them. I grabbed some moving blankets from the local Home Depot and did fine. The van was clean and ran great.Jeremy C.

Though the customer service was good, the truck I rented was extremely dirty whomever had the 15 foot truck prior to me left dirt and debris in the back of the truck. I had to ask the employee helping me for a Broom to sweep out the back. I also had to remove a wood plank from the back. I rent from uhaul all the time I have never experienced anything like that before. It was very disappointing.Rhashidah S.
I booked a truck at one location but got confirmation for another. Then I changed it again and got confirmation for the original site. When I arrived to the original location I found out that my reservation has changed again. The system should be more comprehensive. If you do not have a truck at this location it should not let you make a reservation there.Anastasia S.

1) none of the additional supplies I requested one week prior to my pickup were available. No hand truck, no dolly and no blankets. 2) van was not clean. I had to ask attendant to sweep out loose nails and dirt. 3) side view mirrors only operated by hand. They should be motorized. 4) brake pedal was unusually high and awkward to use.Lori B.
