TIMOTHY STIFFDrop off location was unmanned, and I called to express concern about the truck breaking down mechanically. The person I called said they would make sure the truck was not rented without U-Haul looking it over. I hope they do that since the truck was certainly having issues.

And this was all after being forced to drive 30 miles to pick up the trailer that was not available at the location your system told me it would be at when I made the reservation.

KENNETH SCRUGGSWe arrived to pick up our truck and there were people who didn’t work for this establishment sitting in the truck smoking and talking. We had to become aggressive with them about removing themselves from the truck. The eventuality moved. The brakes were horrible and the side view mirrors needed some type of w-d 40. The owner was sweet and easy to work with but her equipment was not acceptable.

DEBRA WEATHERALLThere was some confusion in the check in process. It was my fault however. I took the truck to the wrong location because it was open on Sunday and was in the same area. It was checked in but I got a call two days later saying that it had not been checked in. After that everything was taken care of. Thanks for a good and safe move.
ELTON MacanCalled Uhaul traffic group to schedule an extension and change of location and was transfered, hung up on and placed on hold by two seperate employees for over an hour, then I finally hung up. Horrible customer service
DANIEL TENAGLIAThe equipment was not checked and maintained well. Trailer wasn’t cleaned out and tire tread peeled off on our drive. When waiting for UHaul’s roadside assistance, major storm blew through causing power outages and no way of knowing when we were getting help. The moment we had just enough signal to contact the owner of this location, she was not very helpful and could only give us generic numbers to contact. UHaul would be more effective without distribution centers and instead having their own locations. Customers need direct contact numbers in case of an emergency rather than numbers that leave us on automatic hold for hours on end. There has to be a better system for making sure equipment is always safe.
Rebekah GrimesI reserve online and for my last two rentals (I rent alot) I have been charged insurance even though I affirmatively un-select any coverage and select “immediately reimburse UHaul…” i don’t want insurance, never select insurance, always check “immediately” reimburse UHaul. I was charged $16.00 for SafeTow on this rental. My auto insurance and umbrella coverage covers towed trailers and liability and I do not need or want additionL coiverage. It is irritating that the UHaul website adds back insurance that has been removed. Juana at Bella’s is an excellent UHaul neighborhood dealer. I’ve used many in my lifetime, and worked for UHaul years ago. Juana at Bella’s is very conscientious and professional-a true asset for UHaul.

Dale LinebaughI wanted to rent a 15' Uhaul but they didn't have any at the location so I had to go with a bigger one. Nice sales tactic. I went to the Uhaul location in Rusk, Tx not this one that is showing. There was a lady from this location that called me and said that there was an emergency so the person from Rusk wouldn't be there but would give me an extra day free of charge for my troubles. She gave me a code to the box to get the key to the Uhaul. There was trash in the cab behind the seats when I got it. I go to turn the Uhaul in to the place that I selected online to find out that this person that I talked to on the phone in Jacksonville selected a different location. I tried to contact both this person listed and the person listed for the drop off location but neither responded so I drove to the other drop off location to return the Uhaul. I got charged for extra day and extra miles for my troubles. Next time I move I will not use Uhaul.

Ricky HendricksThe location did not have the equipment I had requested. The location also was not a mobile pick up or drop off point. I was not told this until I had gone to pick up the truck and the U-Haul representative over the phone informed me of it. I was supposed to pickup the truck at 9 a.m. and I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up and give me the keys.

Juana GobeaThe drop off process was not easy. We were to return it to a location that shows Monday hours but was closed. There was another person waiting to return his rental as well. After waiting we’ll past opening time, the man called the business phone number and was told they’re closed. Was told to put keys in drop box and use online return. Problem is that online requires mileage/gas gauge pictures and info. The truck was locked and keys were in box. Then we were going to be charged for extra mileage according to our estimate and late return. We were sitting in the parking lot by return time. I disputed and the charges were removed. I will still recommend uhaul. Just return truck a little early and know you need pictures of the truck before turning in the keys.
