This was all self-serve. I had a broken taillight and was told I could take it to another location and have them fix it there.

There was dog hair all over the cab seats so it was not cleaned properly. It also rained and some water got into the back part of the truck where all my boxes were. In addition, it’s not obvious in the agreement that extra charges will be made to the credit card after the truck is returned.

Instead of worrying about other people that was there after me and attending to them and just hand me over the 4 wire and tel me to pull around so they can take photos before i leave was ridiculous. I had to pick up the 6x12 cargo trailer that was on the floor and pick it up and drag it over to hook up the trailer my self and plug the wire and connect all the safety chains so I can get on my way because they were too busy inside. After everything was done they came out as I was about to leave. It was unacceptable and never had an experience like this.

The trucks AC didn't work. It was cool in the morning so I didn't need it until we had loaded the truck and it got close to 90° out and had worked up a sweat. The trucks blew hot air. The people I rented from said they couldn't do any kind of reimbursement or compensation. They said to call U-Haul.

They didnt.give me the key to unlock the back so i had to go back and was charged that mileage. I have never rented a uhaul and would have loved if someone could have walked and to show me how everything works. The truck was on empty. No ramp or mention of any other equipment we might need.

I was told that there was 3/4's of a tank of gas but it was empty. This happened to another customer who came in right after me. When trying to load the furniture there was a padlock on the back of the truck and no key. I had to go back to get it unlocked. The lady at the Shell station was very nice though but this took longer than it should have.

Drove 3 miles. Put a few bucks in the tank before returning. The inspector said it was low and asked if I wanted to fill up more and I forgot my card so I couldn’t. He shook his head at me like he was very disappointed. I still paid what they charge if returned with less gas. Just not very good customer service experience. Will definitely take my future renting to other locations

Much nicer than where I normally drop of in SDL on north Hayden that is a very busy location, the personnel is overworked. Much more relaxed at 315 W Bell in Phoenix

There were no experienced personnel on hand to answer my question regarding how to disconnect my car from the trailer. But the person behind the counter was helpful and very professional. It took a few minutes but the disconnect issue was resolved with no real Hassel.

I had to disconnect the trailer myself. The attendant wanted me to back the trailer into a small stall.I didn’t. This is the smallest trailer and very easy to move by hand. I’m 75 years old with my arm in a sling after having surgery. This place made me extremely mad.

Upon getting the keys I found a homeless woman in the back of my truck. The fuel level was incorrect and the clerk said she would note it and change it and she never did. I only drove 8 miles the entire move from pick up to drop off. I had a bad experience with the app. As it kept glitching while trying to upload pictures and after 20 minutes of trying to check out with the app I went in to the store with night-clerk to inquire what to do, since the app was glitching and because had just dropped off the key in the overnight box. He said to come back in the am, But when the morning clerk wanted to finish the check in (because the night clerk said I was 20 minutes late) said she was going to charge me another full day. This move was number 26 with U-Haul. I will never use this location .06 miles from my home. My storage I was moving from was 1 mile away from this location but only .06 miles from my new apt. We moved 1 way, 1 trip. I’ve used other locations around here before (Phx Az ) and things were both smooth and perfect.

The window was dirty and hard to see out of and there was no air conditioning which made it very hot when we live in Arizona and it was 114 degrees outside. Overall it was miserable but thankfully a small load

We were given blankets, which we didn't use and the packages were left sealed, but we had to pay for them anyway. AFTER the fact we were told they were rented-they were brand new in the package. We asked to use a different credit card and the man ran the wrong card anyway. He wanted us to back the truck into the parking spot when finished. I have never been so disappointed in my rental experience before. We were not happy.

Worat experience ever. Young woman took forever to complete paperwork and hookup. Upon my return, young man would not help. Told me it would be a $20 charge to unhook the trailer. I am 76 years old, have had both shoulders replaced, and a sore back from moving 100lb. toilet boxes all morning. I did the unhook without help in the heat.

It was very inconvenient to drive the 45 mins/40 miles each way to pick up the trailer. I understand your policy, but I wasted a good $50 in gas that I didn’t plan on. I would like to be reimbursed for that gas amount.

There was tons of trash in the back of the truck I rent for a couple days as well as seed all over the front seat and passenger floor when I returned the truck I’d swept the back of the truck out but left the seed in the front seat floor and was told I need to sweep them out or I would be charged extra. The lady that was checking me out was extremely rude.would never go back to this location!

Erika charged us a $9 because she claimed we did not fill up the truck. We only went 10 miles and put over a gallon in. She was very unprofessional and lacked judgement. Was yelling at my husband. It was so dumb. We will never rent from Uhaul again. I will be calling the 800 number to complain about this entire issue. Your staff needs to be trained in this stuff. Sadly all over $9 measly dollars. She could have just saw the receipt and let it go instead she chose to argue with my husband about how we didn't fill up. We showed the receipt and again was told it wasn't enough. We went 10 miles. We added over a gallon. Your trucks get about 12 miles to the gallon. It should have been plenty. So, her unprofessionalism caused so many problems for us that day, and sadly if could have been avoided. She was rude and yelled at me and my husband. I will never go to that location or rent from uhaul again. Sadly, this could have all been avoided if she had listened to us and looked at our receipt. But she argued with us for over 10 minutes. Not cool!

Dirty rig, old with lots of damage/dings, lady was rude at check out. Got charged for more gas because they didn’t write it down correctly, I had prove with a picture. Wouldn’t recommend location.

The lady that helped me was nice. The first truck they gave me died in the parking lot. The second one didn’t have a catalytic converter. Finally the 3rd truck managed to work. When I called about this experience, I was promised a call back or email and neither came. There was no follow up. Based on this experience, I’d be reluctant to use Uhaul again.

Truck has some major issues. Intermittent but was getting worse and more often , the more it was driven. Possible transmission issues from the way it was acting. When reporting issues to store… didn’t seem too bothered by it. And of course there was no kind of credit or reimbursement due to the troubles we had to deal with. Left feeling annoyed and frustrated with an overall bad experience

The Shell station employees working there were really helpful and this review doesn't reflect on them. The location in general had a lot of homeless/drug-addict individuals roaming around which made the place look unsafe. The uhaul truck I rented was in good condition, but it smelled like cigarettes in the cabin. I wouldn't recommend the location simply because of the people roaming in and out of the building.

My rental was originally with Advantage Storage Moon Valley in Phoenix. They were horrible. They were supposed to be open when I got there at 10am. But the door was locked and nobody was to be seen. After waiting 15mins I called U-Haul. They tried calling the property and for ahold of the property manager who said there is someone there and probably walking the store. They said it should be 15 mins or so. By then I had been waiting for 25 mins. The lady at U-Haul offered to transfer my reservation to another location which I accepted. The lady at the 315 W Bell Rd location was fantastic and got us on our way quickly.

First- my reservation was for 6pm and I scheduled mobile pickup. They didn’t set it up correctly so I couldn’t do mobile pickup and was waiting in the cold for 10 minutes until someone came back to the gas station. Further on my mobile pickup I did not select insurance because I did not want to pay for it but when he checked me in on his computer he apparently did check it. I was scammed out of a lot of time stranded in the cold and was scammed out of $15!

I didn't get the dolly that I was charged for, the driver seat doesn't move, the driver door is extremely hard to shut and the locks for the boxes are super hard to open.

The customer representatives didn't seem to know how to manage the U-Haul components (computer systems, explanations of packages and processes), were extremely slow, and were unresponsive in any reasonable way when I made a report on the vehicle. I was charged for 2 days, without understanding the change until it was time to pay. The representative took an excessive amount of time when turning the vehicle in, and although I can appreciate the vulgarity during the transaction, it's not a professional approach to swear and make snide remarks about the cost being much higher than it was. It was already much higher than anticipated.

The female clerk did not fully explain the gas situation. The truck I rented has LESS than a quarter tank of gas in it. I was told I could return it with the same amount if gas and when I did, she made me put more gas in it to bring it to a quarter tank. I consider this a bait and switch tactic to get customers to fill the gas tanks! Her accent was so heavy, it was hard to understand her ans she clearly used this other her advantage. I will NEVER step foot in her business again.

We were greeted at pick up by being told we were 20 minutes late. This truck was heavily damaged. The entire side was torn out and sunlight could be seen along several feet of the side wall. It rained all day and the truck wasn't water tight. We turned in the vehicle early but we're charged for 2 days. We came back before the place closes at 9pm and they closed early, then charged us double. The app did not work for pickup or drop off. I get to spend more time on the phone trying to get a refund because Uhaul doesn't have their act together. Just a huge thrash.
