The gentleman at the counter who checked me in was super efficient and professional. Honestly he was a real treat compared with what I expect when renting from U-Haul. The van itself was quite dirty inside and out. The cargo area could have used a thorough sweeping.

My phone was not working. The onsite manager who helped me with the rental was very understanding. In addition to excellent service, he went online and printed directions for me to reach my desired location. I thought that was above and beyond, deserving recognition!

The woman checking me in let me know that she had better things to do than wait for me to show up to pick up the van. (I was 25mins late bc my daughter’s nap ran over.) Then she proceeded to talk non-stop while processing my paper work very slowly. I found myself apologizing over and over again for being late. The only thing I signed up for, in addition to the van, was furniture blankets… which she said she didn’t have and told me to go buy my own. So now I have to run an errand, which threw off the rest of my schedule. When I dropped the van off right before the uhaul office closed, the same lady behind the desk told me to just leave the keys in the outside drop box since they were “practically closed already.” She explained that she was doing required trainings and someone tomorrow would process the van return. In regards to the van, it was a rainy day and I found myself hydroplaning a lot — and struggling to get momentum up hill. This is only my second uhaul rental. My first rental went perfectly- zero complaints. This rental just turned me off of this particular location.

I was confused about filling up the gas tank. It said it was still full when I was about to drop it off, but I went to the gas station anyway and ended up putting in nearly $20 worth of gas. I'm not sure that was necessary since I definitely didn't use $20 worth of gas. I would have liked some clarification on that before I spent the money unnecessarily. Other than that, pick-up and drop-off were easy. The guy at the counter was very nice. The van was easy to drive and everything was clean. For my first uhaul experience, this was extremely positive!

I will never rent a uhaul again because of your face recognition bullshit. Im renting a van - you dont need my photo for facial recognition. You need my license. Total over reach.

The lady at the front desk was extremely frazzled and seemed frantic when we checked in for our reservation. She kept over explaining that her job entailed so much more than just u-haul rentals, and it made me feel rather uncomfortable. I asked her if I should rent from another location, and she said no, she just needed me to understand why she was so frantic at the moment. I remained patient and reminded her I’m okay waiting, but she did get slightly snappy and it was a very odd experience. I understand she had a lot going on coming out of a holiday weekend, but was unnecessary stress to put on the customer. I hope no one else experienced her the way I did that morning.

The lady at the desk was exceptional - considerate, polite, and helpful. However, I was upset at the necessity to have a cell phone (including an active text and data plan) to do business with UHaul. I was not offered the copying my driver's license or the clerk taking my portrait. There was a lot of interaction with texting required to check out. When I went to check in, the door was locked at 4pm, when the hours said they were open to 5pm. So, in going to drop my key, I discovered that I also had to have internet (and enough bars to get the signal) to check in. I had already locked the truck and wasn't happy to go back and take pictures of fuel gauge and odometer and again, upload and send them, assuming I had internet. I did not have good cell reception at the keybox and therefore could not finalize my check in. The app just stalled (yes, I did click 'check in without uploading pictures' to no effect). So while the clerk was nice, the equipment was fine, the customer service (not the clerk's fault) was upsetting because of the assumption that I had the technology, the know-how, a data plan, a texting plan, and the understanding of how to operate all these things. I'll gladly accept a delay while standing in lines if these things could instead be done by a real person with whom I can interact. Argh!

You advertise 19.95 rental in city. Why was the bill over 100 dollars for three hours? I would not recomend Uhaul to anyone. It’s false advertising.

Very poor experience! Rude interaction with service representative, and got charged for a cleaning fee for something I did not do. I can’t explain how ridiculous that feels, to be told I’m responsible for a cleaning fee when I only used the van for an hour to transport a few boxes. And then the service rep says they spent extra time cleaning a mat of the van and pulling wood out of crevice, so they charged me. It wasn’t about the fee, it was just that it was straight up wrong, and likely motivated by other factors affecting the service rep.

I rented a van. Ideally a real back up camera would be better than the rear view mirror back up screen. I found it to hard to navigate distance with this type of equipment. Also it would have been nice to have blind spot side mirror lights. The side mirrors were great with two different seeing options. Close and far. The van was clean and easy to drive. The process to check out the van takes about 15 minutes unless you upload your drivers license before you get there. To return takes 1 minute. I did about 65-75 miles and it cost less than $30 to refill the tank to full.

The lady who attended me during the rental was very nice. Really appreciate the way she handled everything and didn't charge anything extra as there were few comments that few people were charged extra and few were charged cleaning fee etc. I'd recommend this rental place to everyone.

I waited for 30 min before the associate finished her phone call and served me. She sent me a text and I had to click through everything and inspect the van, online with my phone, myself, which could have been done while she IS on the phone. Total waste of my time and poor service. She also asked for 2 references/contacts per policy. One has to be local and one has to be family. If I had lots of friends in town, I would not have to get an U-Haul.

Repetitive online check-in process, which saves no time when arriving at pickup location, repeated requests for photo ID upload using program that doesn’t seem to work(these are U-Haul issues, NOT location issues). Also, no explanation regarding what happens to ID and selfie photos after being uploaded to U-Haul (if no explanation is forthcoming, I’ll be contacting state authorities).

When we picked up the vehicle, the gas was filled to 3/4th of the tank. While refueling the vehicle the gauge always showed less thean 3/4th of the tank. And after adding more fuel it directly showed full tank. The fuel indicator never showed 3/4th of the tank. The fuel indicator is incorrectly gauged. For just driving 10 miles , I had to fill the fuel worth 35 dollars to avaoid the penalty

There was a coffee cup in the van when I rented it. I didn't mind it but I was given a broom and pan to clean the cargo area of the van. If the standards are so high, maybe check the vehicle yourself before handing it off to others. Apart from that no other concerns, went smoothly.

Be clear upfront. I was told to refill the tank even after paying $1.39 per mile of run. No where it was mentioned while pre booking. Plus for 40 miles I had to fill the tank with 5 gallon gas. Simply means tank was not full when handed over..

I explicitly told the person at the desk that I would be returning the truck 24 hours later at 1:00pm and he didn't say anything. I got a text saying it was due back at 10am and he insisted that conversation never happened. I'm continuously disappointment by the customer service at this location, which is sad because its very convenient and the trucks are kept pretty clean.

Maybe a brief walkthrough on how to operate the vehicle due to it being slightly different than a regular car. Information was very thorough, easy to get the hang of it, I personally learn the best with visuals and demonstrations. Would definitely use this service again.
