Improve Everything they gave me the truck on empty with the gas light on and charged me for 1/4 of a tank of gas and they charged a cleaning fee when the truck was filthy when we got it that is unacceptableEDUARDO R.

Truck was not prepared for pick up (tables 4 big ones left in it) VERY dirty blankets I wouldn't give to a homeless person to use. Staff could not explain clearly the breakdown of the expenses I was charged when I challenged the amount because I drove less mileage than my estimate, so why would my final price exceed my original balance at pick up. Location is FILTHY, FILTHY and the truck had not been disinfected, so I used my products to clean it so I could feel comfortable driving it. Staff did not have mask on and apparently do not take Covid 19 pandemic seriously. I will never pick up for there again.ALICIA J.

This was my worst uhaul experience ever. The shop didn't look like a uhaul store. There was one guy there who didn't know anything about uhaul. There was nobody there to help at first. He had to call someone who was apart of the uhaul to come and that took 5 minutes of us standing around then we had to wait for him to turn the computer on which took another 5 minutes just for him to ring me up on his handheld device. It was sketchy asf! Then once we were finished with the transaction he just gave us the keys and that was it. He never told me to check the mileage or do an inspection around the vehicle. Even though I already knew to do it from renting previously with you guys. There was a scratch on the front but the drivers side and he tried to blame it on us when we got back. Then when I got in the car to check the miles and gas, the miles were at 81562 and the place we were going in total was only 15 miles meaning when we dropped it off it was at 81577. When I checked my emailed receipt he over charged me for the mileage. He charged me 24 miles. Then when I tried calling the store he answered the first time and told me to come by and get my refund. When I got there I called him ( like he asked ) and the phone wasn't even ringing meaning he had blocked my number because I had my boyfriend call on his phone and the call went straight through to him. Then he said he was going to send someone out to give us the money in cash and it took 20 minutes for him to do that and the guy came outside shirtless and in sandals. It wasn't even the guy who worked for uhaul it was some random guy . I'm very disappointed if I could get a full refund I would . He overcharged me and knew exactly who I was. If I never checked my receipt he would've gotten away with charging me 10 extra miles â€¦ then he had the audacity to block my number after he told me to call him when I was outside. Highly DONT recommend this place for anything!!!! Very sketchy and looks like a chop shop ! Never again !!!Jordan E.

Returned truck on holiday, the facility was fenced and locked, parked on street and used drop box but wasn't really sure if process was ok but it did work out. Received an email confirmation the following day saying transaction was complete. Maybe experience would be better during normal hours.Peter W.
The guy I spoke to said since I was driving so far he would drop the mileage from $1.19-$.99 a mile. Him and his website I believed he would be open on Sunday for me to talk about the charges as I said it for 45 minutes waiting on him finally called him he said he was not open he will take care of it on Tuesday. The bill came to me on Tuesday afternoon and it was still $1.19 per mile and I don't understand What all the extra charges are for.AARON T.

Owner did not show up to open at 9 and had us all waiting, it took a customer looking up a number to reach the owner personally, then he instructed the owner of the neighboring business to give us keys. I reserved it for 4 hrs was supposed to be billed $54. I had it a hr and a half, returned it, a d got billed $124 for an hr and a half! Terrible. Not to mention because the truck was out on the street someone had broke the gas intake door, which made it extremely hard to fill it up. I have reached out to the email that was given to me in the reciept to complain about the charges, and it came back undeliverableTina S.

The pickup was poor, no one answered the phone the first time. Then someone picked up the phone and told me vans were available but by the time I arrived no one was there. During drop off the door was closed and there were no instructions to where I should leave the van. When I checked I saw the rolling door was open so I parked the van and was approached by 3 men who stated I was lucky the dogs weren't let loose as they would have attacked me. This was a "24-hour location". Terrible experience at best.Sirpreet S.

Charged $20 for insurance that I declined when filling out the form online, and when I called to try to get the charges settled, the line at this location is always busy. Even during business hours, and after hours, doesn't matter. They cannot be reached.SARAH G.

I wanted a pick up but they didn't have one but I was assured that the box truck would tow my Wells Cargo trailer. I spent an hour loading the truck then discovered that the space from the ball to the truck bumper was about a half inch to narrow. So I unloaded the truck and returned it and went to a different location for a pickup. All this cost $ and about 4 hours of my time.JOHN L.

This place was awesome great service. The previous reservations however sucked butt. I was in the ghetto at night and my truck wasn't ready for me and the system ::::self service on line:::: was not convenient. Was glitchy and other customers were having issues. I need to find out how I can complain about that location at the coliseum in Oakland on San Leandro street. Hell woth themMARIPAZ D.

This place was an excellent choice! Great staff, and they charged exactly what was quoted. That is very important, as I've had the experience of "unforeseen charges and the fine print". When I arrived the cashier was having a extended long conversation with another customer that was totally inappropriate. When I got to the counter the cashier attempted to make advances towards me and when I returned the truck said he was â€œto highâ€ because he was starring off in space while checking my truck in. When we attempted to give me change he asked me how much change he needed to give me with. The manger came (I assume) and was very professional and he was the one who advised how much change was suppose to be given.Crystal W.
No printer want to show me the contract on his phone. Upon return tried to charge me for over 100 miles. after I show him were I wrote the mileage out in my note book he changed it like he was doing me a favor. If the customer ask for a printed copy he should be able to give one. I warn all customer to write the mileage down before you leave also gas and compare it to your contract before you leave. If I have to go to another city to rent that is what I will do.Mary S.

Scheduled for a 6am pick up with app. Truck was not left out or ready. Spend 1.5 hour on the phone and then was told I needed to wait until 9. The store attendant didn't arrive until after 9 and it's was 9:20 when I was finally give my truck. I reserved 2 packages of moving blankets and they didn't have any. Overall very poorBrian V.

We were over charged by $70 and it took an act of Congress to get it fixed. The owner Mr. Bass is very kind and was very helpful but getting thru to Uhaul took an hour. And he has a problem with thievery And people siphoning the gas from his trucks. So ultimately we ended up getting overcharged. He needs better customer service and support from Uhaul.Martin G.
The first location we were to drop off at was very scary. Not even called what it was labeled to be called. No one in the store. We called And they said to just leave the keys. So we found another drop off. That one was also very junky and unclean, but the employee was nice. U haul needs to Do visits of these facilities and close the ones that are sketchy.Terence W.

The problem was not really with the pickup location but with the fact that the pick up location was changed twice to a final location which was very far away from the original chosen location. After calling to double check if a change was possible, they forced me to go to Vallejo and the person over there, who was very kind, told me that I was lucky because even though the original request was not for a 20 footer truck, he had one available. The person I spoke with over the phone also told me that I was going to get an extra free day, extra mileage and $50 credit, but when I returned the truck, the app asked me for the extra mileage, mileage due to the distant pick up location. I understand the covid situation, but at least be more prepared with customers who had made their reservation way in advance with plenty of time for you to get ready.Michela P.

Horrible experience with Uhaul. The truck I got the first time got a check engine light on after a mile out from the store, brought back they gave me another one and that was even worst had a check engine line on and it needed a change of oil. I took the original truck after they put a 1/4 of oil to see if that was enough to get me going since I was traveling from California to Florida. I got it at just below 3/4 of tank or so, went to fill it up so I can get it weight, gas started leaking from the hose that connects to the tank. I looks like someone cut the line to siphon gas of the truck so I had to wait until the tow truck company came out, they couldn't fix it on the spot so I had to drive it to their yard unload a portion of the truck so they could get it fixed. It was one delay after another by the time I finally hit the road to make my way to Florida it was 6pm couldn't get very far by then and I wasn't going to drive through the night to make up for lose time with my 6 month wife in the truck. I have yet to see the reimbursement from the gas I lost filling up the faulty tank and I was 2 days late to my arrival date which in fact I had to cancel hotel reservations because of all the delays. I called customer service and was suppose to get a call from the GM it's been over a week and not even a voicemail. When my wife call the location to speak with the person that gave us the truck she over heard someone in the background saying I told you I had a feeling someone was cutting the gas lines on the trucks. With that said it's obvious that they don't properly check vehicles before they hand them over to customers other than the usual gas meter and pictures. I would stay away from this place and I do not recommend it at all.Jorge V.
