I was supposed to have two furniture pads and other supply which was not on the truck. I was not charged for these items although they would have been helpful to haveJEFFREY R.
I arrived on time only to be told from the mechanic that I could not have the van because it was blocked in by a bulldozer. While I was on the phone ON HOLD with U-Haul a man came and moved the bulldozer. Then the mechanic called a man on his phone who asked me some questions to confirm it was me. I was now 30 mins behind schedule. The van was dirty with empty water bottles and the gas tank was 1/2 filled. When I returned it I told the mechanic it was a little lower but not sure how much to put in since it came with a 1/2 gallon. He told me not to worry about it and then I get charged for 4 Gallons of gas. Terrible!Paul F.
The van rental place and the staff were very good and accommodating. The website however is fairly problematic to make the bookings. I'd recommend fixing that. I was helped by a caring uhaul staff member who went out of his way to find me a booking that I couldn't see on the website and then I had one more great experience when I picked up the van.SUKUMAR P.
Be more transparent about pricing. Got an estimate of 35 dollars and paid 75 for a less than 8 mile tripJULIAN P.
UHaul gave me a choice of 5 pickup locations for a 26' truck, and I picked B & A closest to my home. When I confirmed at this location the day before my movers were coming to load the truck, I was told "we don't do big trucks, only vans at this location." I had to drive 6 hours to rent a much smaller truck that did not fit everything, then return to NY by air, rent a 2nd truck for the rest of my belongings & drive back to Florida. I have disputed both of these charges on my debit card.DAVID L.
