None of the apps worked, so I couldn't pre-register for pick up. There was no one at the location. I had to call, and they gave me the code to the lock box. The truck had 2 inches of water gathered in the front of the cargo area. The tank was probably only seven eights filled.Robert F.

The truck and location were very good. There were two issues I had a problem with, and were rather frustrating. First, at pick up, the verification process took 20 minutes and overall we were in the parking lot for 30 minutes. We arrived 10 minutes early as suggested, but it took much longer. Then when returning the truck, I didn't realize we were supposed to fuel the truck up. I'm sure it was in the fine print somewhere, but I never saw it. I have never rented a truck before and assumed that was what the 79 cents per mile was for. Once we were in the parking lot and were notified that it would cost extra, I figured it was too late so we would pay the difference. The problem was that it cost $27.75 for using less than 1/4 tank of fuel. I think that's a pretty rotten way to stick customers with an extra charge. Live and learn. I doubt it has anything to do with this location, it's just the way U-Haul operates. Overall, truck was great. Just arrive at least 30 minutes early and stop to gas up before returning it.Rachel S.

Great service except after that it was horrible I drop the truck off at a place in Batavia the closest location because I did not drop the truck off in the right one where they said to take it they charged me an extra $20 the representative on the phone was extremely rude I had been trying to figure out what to do and she was not nice at all with every horrible therefore U-Haul ended up charging me a total of 229 Dollars we did do the gas right we did not open anything there was a loose dolly in there which I'm pretty sure I got charged for just doneKellie J.
Please have on hand, for this location, safe routes out of Manhattan that avoid all roads/parkways with low underpasses. I was shocked that this was not provided: the clearance of parkways is 6'11" and the SMALLEST Uhaul truck is 9'0"! Just a simple map showing how to get to each of the bridges (upper level only of the GWB) would be easy to provide and should be posted online as well as available in print at all Manhattan locations.Camille R.
U-Haul changed my reservation without telling me and that was upsetting and stressful. I reserved from 5 pm-5pm the following day. It was changed to a 10:30am drop off without any notice. They dolly was also missing, which i paid for. The customer service person was very kind, Andrew, who was the scheduling manager was very helpful.Ashley B.

My drop off location was changed on me and I did not know until I went to the original one. The place I had to take the truck was dark. I had to park the truck in one spot and then go searching for the key drop box on a different building. It was late and I was tired. Very aggravating.Howard H.

When we tried to pick up the truck using the website we had to wait 20 minutes while my driving credentials could be verified. During this time we also tried to call the customer service line and were on hold for 35 minutes before getting through. At that point we were told the network was down and that's why my credentials could not be verified. The customer service representative was very helpful. But at that point we had been delayed over an hour. I can understand when a network issue can cause issues but it seems like there could have been some Kind of notification or alert.Brianna C.

The location could have been marked better. I tried to drop the truck off at night and ended up in the wrong lot where another U-Haul truck was parked and there was no dropbox. The next morning I found the correct location next door with a Key drop box. It was not the typical U-Haul store. It was a used car dealer that accepts drop offs and pick ups I think.John S.

I was told by the rep on the phone if we needed to keep the vehicle for an extra day, we would just be charged for it. When I called to confirm this, we were told the vehicle was showing as unauthorized use for the extra day. Fortunately, the 2nd rep took care of it for us.Lisa W.
