Location definitely not clean and inviting. Almost looked abandoned, very dilapidated. No staff present on a day indicated as normal business hours (likely due to Thanksgiving holiday), but no big deal - just left keys in drop box. Uhaul procedures for this situation were not very clear - despite leaving keys in box as instructed, it was difficult to figure out if/when the vehicle was ever officially "checked in".

The process of using the phone to access the truck was a complete pain in the neck. Much of what had to be done could have been done in advance. It took me the better part of an hour onsite instead of being the convenient and quick process as advertised. I won’t do that again.

The building itself was falling apart, mainly because of the roof. There was mold and dust everywhere. The man could barely see to fill out paperwork, using glasses and a magnifying glass to see.

There was black mold on every single wall in the place. The smell was so bad I chose to wait outside in the heat.

Again, I’ll never recommend anyone use a remote site. Second, this site was not open for business for 3days when I got there to return the vehicle. You would think I would have been told this when booking. Then , the solution was to run ME around to another location in an unfamiliar city. When I refused , the second service rep - the first one hung up on me after not knowing what to do- again hoped that I would have wi fi at the location, and I did not, and they could not offer any alternative solution to simplify my problem. After much complaining on my part, the rep agreed to let me take pictures at the drop off location and send them from another location where I would have wi fi. I was then asked to call the business at the drop off point- when they reopened to confirm that the vehicle was there, and then call u haul. Bottom line , I had almost 4 hours into the rental process- with all of the wi fi issues and complete lack of help from customer service- all this for a 5 hour rental. I will never deal with u haul again.

This location looked extremely sketchy from the outside and inside. The roof was half gone, there were holes in the ceiling inside. I had no issues with the person I dealt with to get the truck. But as a woman picking up this truck alone, I felt very uncomfortable at this location.

This location was closed by the time I arrived but the fellow came out back and helped me anyway. I don’t remember seeing anything on my email stating the hours of the return location. This would have been helpful. I would have left the trailer there regardless.

The U-Haul equipment was well maintained but the truck didn't have a dolly. The manager said that he had been asking for one but hadn't gotten it yet. My main problem is with the building itself. It's so poorly maintained that I was afraid I was going to catch some disease just from being in there (I could see what looked like black mold in the waiting room) and the ceiling tiles looked like they might fall on someone's head. The outside of the building has big holes in the roof area that makes it look more like a condemned building than a place of business. The manager was very nice and he was competent but I would only recommend it to a friend as a last resort.

Well run, easy to rent, Guy was great and truck was great. It’s a really minimal location, however, no store, boxes, mats or hand trucks available. No complaints, just worth noting.

This site is very dirty and run down. The owner showed up late to open the office. He did not have the furniture dolly and I needed to force him to call another UHaul location. When I went to the location I originally rented the UHaul, they had three 15 ft trucks just like the one I ordered. And even at the correct location. My family and I have rented 4 trucks in the last year and I plan to take business elsewhere unless someone can convince me that UHaul will fix these problems.

The gentleman that runs Avon Motors was nice and was very informative about how to pick up the truck on-line when we talked the night before pick-up day. However, when I tried to do that the next morning, I had to call U-Haul customer service to get something changed on my reservation that would allow my to see the option to pick up the truck on-line. (This was totally U-Haul's fault and not Avon Motors). I would have done the on-line pick-up work the night before had it been available. You can improve the next customer's experience by making it so they don't have to call to get their account/reservation "unlocked" (or whatever she did) to even be able to see and conduct on-line pickup.

Building is old and no working bathroom, at first I thought I was in the wrong place because it did not look opened. The person that work there was very friendly and working with what he had.

Couple things . . . . first, it literally took over an hour and half from when I arrived until I was able to depart. There was only 1 person working at this location. There were only 2 customers ahead of me, but the entire process was painfully slow. Luckily, I wasn't in such a big hurry myself. However, if I was in a hurry, I would have left and gone to the Enterprise truck rental down the street. Secondly, the building itself was a pit. Ceiling and walls falling down, mold everywhere, flying insect (the kind that sting) . . . it looked dangerous just to be inside the place. It was also incredibly hot inside (zero AC in the customer waiting area). I choose to wait outside - where it was approaching 85-90 degrees out - b/c outside was cooler than inside. All in all, the location itself, and the ineffective level of customer service, was an extremely poor reflection of UHaul. I would seriously suggest that someone from UHaul go out and check this place out . . . . your customers are in danger at this location.

Your app works, but the approval process is far too slow. I had a profile with photo license and credit card info and it still took over 6 minutes of standing and waiting - why have a profile

The clerk was pleasant, but was not available to help unhook the trailer. The lot was somewhat overgrown but easily accessible. There was really no problems with the drop off and the e-mail return receipt was received promptly.

The pick-up location had black mold all over the walls and I did not feel comfortable sitting in the office because of this fact.

The owner was very polite and helpful. However the building itself where the off is was horrible. Ceilings falling down, black mold on the walls. Definitely a major health hazard. He’d be better off work out of a trailer. Other then that, the location is very convenient.

Dropped-off the trailer at 2:30 on the next day... Tuesday afternoon...and nobody was there. Place was closed. Called and left message telling them I was dropping-off and never got a call back.

The location was moldy and the drop ceiling was falling down due to water leaking. It was not a comfortable environment, at all. Also, this was not the location that I had chosen. I ordered the trailer to be picked up from Ruckersville, VA -- 2.7 miles from the house I was moving from. I got a call the day before from someone in Elkton, VA -- 20.2 miles away -- telling me that I needed to pick the trailer up that day because they were closed on Sundays. I didn't have time to travel over the mountain that day, so I called Uhaul to figure out what happened and I got passed around to 3 different customer service people before I was finally told that I had to drive to Charlottesville, VA -- 25.3 miles away -- to pick up the trailer on Sunday. I asked how this happened and the person told me because there is "no way to keep track of where a trailer will be on any given day." This is a terrible response from a company who should specialize in logistics. When I got to the site, the computer wasn't working so I had to wait for that, the trailer did not have the proper brake light connector so I had to go to Autozone to buy an adapter. I was set back nearly 3 hours from my moving schedule because of Uhaul's mistakes. All of these issues added a lot of time and gas cost to my move. It also added a great deal of frustration. The root of the problem was letting people choose trailers from a particular location without being able to guarantee that it will be available when they need it. There's little chance I will use Uhaul ever again and I'll be sure to spread the word about how terrible the experience was.

Black mold throu-out office. Total was $142. I was told it would be $88. Went 59 miles compared to 50 miles estimate so I can understand a little more. Charge for gas an extra $59. Was not told this would happen.

I rented for a oneway, 99 mile trip and was allotted 117 miles ($.40/mile after that). This wasn’t enough as an interstate detour as well as the mileage from destination to drop off (9 miles) put me 30 miles over. I felt scammed with the low initial mileage allowance

The van had existing damage. The driver's door would not open correctly. There was a two ft. (24 inches) crack across the front windscreen, and the van was filthy. Not only did I have to encounter this inconvenience, but when I checked out, I was charged $25.00 cleaning fee, and the van is still not clean (I drive past it each day). This has been a terrible experience with U-Haul, and I would like at least, the cleaning fee for the van to be refunded! #refund #customerservice @customerservie @refund

Even though hours stated location would be open, it was closed. Needed to change pick up time and couldn't get in touch with anyone. Had to rearrange entire move due to their inability to communicate. Impacted us financially. Contacted UHaul corporate and they gave me a $50 credit towards a future UHaul rental. What an insult. Never again...
