This rental was a disaster. I reserved the truck at the University Ave location and that's where I wanted to get it from. I got shifted to this dude at the last minute. The trucks were unsecured about a 1/2 block away by railroad tracks totally out of view of the rental office. I also did not receive a walk around the vehicle at time of rental. I was just told, here are your keys, look for your number and drive away. When I started to put gas in I discovered after a minute that the gas tank was drilled and I put 7+ gal of gas on the concrete before immediately turning it off ($21.56 and have a receipt). I went back and got a different truck, which was OK, but the initial experience pretty much soured me on the whole deal. The lady I returned the truck to at my destination was fantastic by the way. She was surprised by what she indicated were lapses in your required procedures at my pick up location. She did her best to make this right by me which was very nice, but it was totally NOT her fault.

Zero human contact. Large fence between drop off location and office prevents any human interaction. If you can’t use QR codes, would be very difficult to return equipment. No signage telling you what to do, where to leave things, etc. Seedy area, next to rail cars and at least one abandoned vehicle. Very surprised this is actually a U-Haul location. HOWEVER, we went in the middle of the day and I was strong enough to push the trailer where it was to be left (I think) so we were in and out in about 20 minutes.

Reservations details were unchangable at pickup . I made multiple calls and attempts at initial check out to modify terms . I was misdirected 3X on your call system assistance customer help representatives , including being hung-up on by your "Area Regional staff call customer assistance . your delay cost me 2 hours of my scheduled holiday weekend move, with movers paid extra day for delay on first day . Rude, incompetent, and intentional hangup by your area regional office assistance .

Very hard to park a 20 foot truck with a vehicle dolly. It’s next to a railroad and almost impossible to access

When we arrived they asked us to go to a different location because they had snow in the lot where the truck was to be parked. We said that was where we were directed to go and we didn’t have time to change the drop off location. They sent an employee to take the truck away who told us to do self check out and drove off. My husband was able to get a picture of the gas readout and mileage but no pictures of the truck for self checkout. We had never done that process before so did not realize we needed them. It was obvious to us that it was Friday night and they had better places to be at 5:15pm.

Do not rent from this location. It is impossible to return after hours. They literally lock you out from their parking lot with a gate.

it felt a little run down and had limited hours. The truck was parked in the back with a bunch of derelict vehicles. It felt very odd to be picking up a truck there since it was not a uhaul official location.

I dropped my y U-Haul off at the location and the worker said I just use the app to end my reservation. I also had to disconnect my own equipment. I forgot my phone at home and was unable to finish the reservation at the location. I then ended the reservation when I got home through app and was called 3 days later to be informed that I didn't rei Turn the equipment. It was 2 Mike's away. I explained that I wasn't at the U-Haul place while on the app. I was later charged 45$ for late fees. I called again to let the U-Haul know the situation they said I'd be reimbursed in 3 days. I set an alarm on my phone to remind me to call if it isn't sort out.

Was somewhat difficult to find as the address is finiky on google maps. The gentlemen inside were very nice. The U-Haul rental system started glitching on them, and I could see on their computer screens that they were using it correctly. I hope they lodged a complaint for their own sake; they had to spend nearly an hour fighting the system for what should've been a 15-minute check-out process. It was frustrating for me because I lost out on a bit of time, but for a business to lose that time is expensive.

They provided inaccurate information to uhaul regarding the gas tank. We filled the truck up half a mile down the road and they told uhaul the tank was half full causing $82.50 to be charged to my card. At first they were unwilling to help but after convincing them they told uhaul it was an error on their part and to refund us. Overall it just put a bad taste in my mouth and I doubt I’ll use uhaul again.

We thought we were picking up trailer close to home, but was told St. Paul was closest availability, pretty far from home. I think Website needs to updated with current l locations only. If a location does not have the rentals on site, they should not be listed as a valid location. Example Rogers, Mn does not have rentals so why are they listed??

It was obvious to me that renting U-Haul equipment was a secondary business at this location. The staff was pleasant but not overly courteous. I would recommend this location only as a last resort if other locations do not have the equipment a customer is looking for.

I arrived to pick up my uhaul at my scheduled time. There was a sign on the door saying “back in 8 minutes”. I waited 15 min and called the owner and he said that he’d be back in 5 min. I waited another 15 minutes and still nothing. I waited over 40 minutes for them to come back. When the owner finally came back he said, “wow you’re almost an hour late for your pickup”. I WAITED 45 minutes for someone to show up to hand me the keys. This place has absolutely awful customer service. It’s not that hard to say sorry.

Better customer service. Not very communicative. No help with hook up. Told to drive back out and behind build and find the only trailer back there. Hook it up and bring around to check. It out. Surprised $30 insurance charge added when I did not request it.

A man that lived in an apartment next to the dealership came out to help me after I had drove in circles for 20 minutes trying to figure out where to return the trailer after hours. This site has tall chain link fence surrounding the entire lot, and the return area ended up being behind the building. Better return instructions would be very helpful.

I reserved a van but it wasn't available. I was given a 10 foot truck instead which was 3/4 full. I was still charged for fuel even though I returned the truck filled to the 3/4 mark. Awful experience!!

The attendant said they were closing and wouldn’t give me documentation to prove I turned the trailer in. I was told to place the trailer in an area that wasn’t gated/secured. The guy who assisted me indicated that it was a high crime area and thefts occur frequently.

It's hard to figure out where to park the truck, since you have to nearly drive on train tracks, on a dirt path that doesn't initially appear legal to drive on. The place was closed when I arrived, even though I was under the initial impression I'd be able to drop the truck off at anytime, but even though it was closed, somebody was clearly there, because he was yelling at me over the intercom the entire time I was trying to figure out where to park the truck.

We spent an extremely long time picking up the uhaul. We couldn't get to where they kept the hauls by ourselves so we went in to the office even the we had mobile pickup. I attempted to explain multiple times that I can do everything on my phone we just couldn't get to the uhauls but the employee kept insisting to start a new rental.

The truck was parked tight, too much snow location and it was close railroad. The truck got stock in the rail road while backing. After 2 hours of struggling to get it, out I had to pay tow to pull me out. If you rent their be carful backing or asked them to move the truck for you.

The person working at the location itself was Excellent--friendly, got me what I needed, efficient. However, I have submitted feedback through the UHaul site itself detailing my frustration that my mobile pickup was changed to in-person handoff without any correspondence and for a later time.

I picked up the uhaul, drove all the way home to find a pad lock on the gate. Uhaul refused to help, called the sub leasee he said it was up to uhaul. Drove it all the way back to the sub leasee he called uhaul and they gave him the code almost immediately. Wasted an hour of my time and gas because of errors that were bit my fault. (I. E uhaul and the sub leasee)

The man at the desk/owner was dismissive when I indicated that I had no idea where to park the trailer and do whatever was necessary to conclude my transaction with U Haul. It is a new location for U Haul and there are no signs indicating where to put the trailer -- which was complicated as it involved leaving the area and going down a street to get to the back of the business - used car sales primarily. When I asked for help separating the trailer, he said it wasn't possible to get help. I am 70 with a painful back from driving 1600 miles and boxing my son's stuff and cleaning his apartment before a moving company loaded the trailer for us. I did what I could but lifting the trailer hitch was a nonstarter. The owner/man at the desk sent a helpful employee out to help. This location has a long way to go to provide a comfortable service experience, especially for anyone with a physical disability. Signage badly needed. And an owner with a service-oriented attitude.

The pick-up location did not open until 11:00am. We really wanted to be done by 11:00am. Pick up was originally suppose to be at 7:am. Facility needs to be open earlier.

I ordered a hand truck and a furniture dolly…neither of which were provided. I had to spend over an hour to go find a hand truck that I had to purchase for $80. Wasted my ;time and cost me more money because the rental was not prepared properly. Also had to wait over 30 minutes to be approved through the contactless pickup. Would never recommend to anyone.

A very unsatisfactory experience--not really a U-Haul site. Just a used car lot with a couple of vans. 2/ Office didn't keep to posted hours. We waited for 30 minutes before it opened, and then the office closed early. 3/ The text interface did work .The steering column made it impossible to take the required mileage pix.

Wilder wasn't really a street per se, it began and ended in the car lot that doubled as the rental pick up location. The truck was rented in Plymouth and I expected to pick it up in Plymouth, not in Saint Paul! (I was advised that pick up may be at another locaiton at the time I rented the truck, though)

The only employee there couldn't help me when the link for contact less pickup wouldn't work. He was visibly annoyed and said, "I don't know what to tell you" so I walked out to try the link again. Eventually, it worked, but when I got to the step that said to go inside to get the key I was nervous. The employee said "We just started with U-Haul. None of us have been trained. I don't know what I'm supposed to do." He did start looking for the key but couldn't find it. He then made a call and ended up finding the key, but I was very uncomfortable. I have used U-Haul several times in the past and have never had am experience like this. When I returned the van, same day, the office was closed, so as I walked up to the drop box a voice came over a loudspeaker and said, "You're trespassing, the police will be called, this is breaking and entering". I said out loud that I was returning a U-Haul but I don't think there was a microphone because the same person essentially repeated the statement. HOW UNCOMFORTABLE! I love using U-Haul, but if today had been my first experience I would never use the service again. Bottom line is this is a terrible location that needs both U-Haul AND customer service training.
