WE traveled on a toll road and could not pay tolls

The lock on the truck was nearly unusable. We needed customer support and then a manager to telephone-walk us through. We spent literally 30 min trying to unlock it by being given *8* different possible word codes with dials that were incredibly hard to spin. There was no one physically at the site to help us. Turns out, you needed to pull up on the latch simultaneously with the black "switch" to open it. Beyond that, the entire check in process was *very* tedious and if the drop off location could have a human in a mask, there is zero reason the pick up location couldn't as well.

Driving to West Bend was 20 min out of our way, I had made the reservations approx 4 weeks prior, and the pickup was at a closer location. I was also told that if the truck was returned a day earlier I would receive some credit, I did not.

Next time, I will register at a location that is actually open on the weekend...i had to make several calls to finally get the truck...the online experience wasnt all that great either...it took me nearly 3 hrs to finally get the truck...putting me and my son behind schedule we both had to reschedule our other plans for the day...very disatisfied??

Equipment was clean but not maintained. Check condition of equipment prior to leaving site. One tire had 15 psi, ratchet tie downs extremely difficult to operate, and hitch stand gearbox next to impossible to use.

I have used U-Haul many times. The only thing that makes this different than the other times is that I left it same day but after closing hours and put the key in the Dropbox. I trusted someone else for the check-in instead of being there for it. Every available charge that could be applied was applied to my card and taken without my consent or discussion about the problems which I know did not exist. I brought the truck back with gas in it exactly where it was when I picked it up and cleaned. It was raining so if water had gotten in that I cannot control. And $83 Adventure turned into $162 and is still climbing and no one returning my calls. It is Thanksgiving and I understand the delay but I don't understand doubling the price without contacting me first. Extremely disappointed

Made my own reservation on my phone while I was waiting for the customer service lady to make my reservation via the U-Haul site. Because the U-Haul site would not work for the reservationist, or the information was not input correctly, I waited more than a normal / usual reservation time should take. I was not happy, and I was on a time schedule that needed to met. I became very frustrated after waiting an appropriate time for the representative to assist me. She (the customer service Rep) tried to get assistance from co-workers, to no avail. I was not happy when I left, (being in customer service most of my life) But what was I to do? U-Haul was the only game in town...……..What if there was another game in town? Think I should be compensated !

I tried picking the truck up using the app on my phone and it wouldn't process any of my information, it kept stalling out. Luckily the place was still open so I was able to go inside and rent it that way.

Equipment did not come filled full with fuel. Rear compartment not clean. The whole app. check out is terrible. Takes way to long, and was just plain frustrating. Will NEVER rent from Uhaul again if I have to use an app for check out/in. Have to give props to Todd Matney (escalation manager) for assisting through the process. If it wasn't for him I would have cancelled the whole thing.

The U-haul app failed five times when I tried to return trailer through the app. I never was able to finish process through the app.The app would reset to stage 1 of process after trying to submit a picture. App kept taking me back to the beginning step. I would not recommend using the app.

The service tire monitor system code and warning symbol were on the whole time of the rental. The sales guy rechecked the tire pressure and said everything was fine. Was told not to worry about the code and symbol. I was not confident driving this rental. I prayed nothing was going to happen.

I was told I could drop It off any uhaul location I tried to take it to one that was open at a valvoline uhaul on east Washington in west bend when I took it there after a 20 minute wait with a rude attendant named Ray he said I could not drop it there and said I had to take it to the other end of it own and really piss d me off. At that location auto safety center it was not open and the paper work for drop off was unclear hoping I did it correctly.
